As always, we have plenty to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. However, one thing it would be hard to be thankful for is the Biden looting spree, which has had a predictable effect on prices:

Food prices have been driven up in part because of supply-side factors, such as the higher cost of the fuels needed to transport grain and livestock, as well as the broader inflationary environment. Inflation has soared in recent years, and the overall consumer price index is up more than 18% from the start of 2020.

Fuel will tend to cost more when the federal government is at war with the energy industry. Hard to believe that only a few years ago, America was energy independent. Then came Biden.

The average price of a Thanksgiving meal for 10 people this year is $61.17, according to a report from the American Farm Bureau Federation, which compiles the cost estimate every year around the holiday using a basket of goods that includes only basic foodstuffs and excludes any special ingredients or drinks.

We can be thankful for a fortuitous drop in the price of turkey, as a result of the absence of avian flu.

But the cost of a Thanksgiving dinner is now 25% higher than in November 2019, the last holiday before the pandemic took hold.

With the pandemic came insanely irresponsible government spending, which accelerated under Biden even as Covid waned.

If we work hard to make it happen, socialists will be dislodged from power as in Argentina. Then prices will stabilize, and we will have even more to be thankful for.

Performances showcased in the parade will include music from two Broadway musicals, & Juliet and Shucked, both of which feature transgender and non-binary performers in major roles.

…declined eligibility for the Tony Awards, saying traditional acting categories need to be reconsidered to become more “inclusive” of gender non-conforming actors.

Also,

Alex Newell, a biological male who also identifies as non-binary, won a Tony Award this year for his starring performance in Shucked, playing the female role of Lulu.

This presents a progression toward shoving depravity in the public’s face ever more aggressively:

In 2021, transgender pop star Kim Petras performed during the parade, becoming the first transgender celebrity to perform during this once family-friendly holiday tradition.

Under liberal domination, nothing stays family-friendly for long. Have a look at Sullivan and Newell and ask yourself if you would let either of these guys near your kids.

The annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade has started the holiday season since 1924, pulling in more than 50 million television viewers as 3.5 million people line the 2.5-mile parade route through New York City.

Yet another American tradition is desecrated by leftist social engineers, subordinated to their sick agenda, and transformed into a means of sticking it to normal people.

Among the many things we have to be thankful for this Thanksgiving are the pilgrims who made the holiday possible by serving as the foundation stone for American civilization. In particular, we can thank them for rejecting socialism.

In the beginning, the pilgrims shared their economic output equally, without property rights. This unsurprisingly resulted in a shortage of food.

After the meager Thanksgiving harvest, the second season of collective farming and distribution proved equally disappointing. Gov. [William] Bradford had seen enough, recording that the system “was found to breed much confusion and discontent and retard much employment that would have been to their benefit and comfort.”

So before the 1623 season, he scrapped socialist farming and replaced it with private ownership of land for each of the families. As a result of becoming responsible for their own welfare and gaining freedom to choose what to grow for consumption or trade, the Pilgrims’ productivity surged.

The rest is history.

So solid was America’s respect for property rights that 500 years later, termites of the type comprising the Democratic Party have still not been able to eat it away completely. Consequently, even if turkey is far more expensive than before Biden’s handlers took power, at least most of us still have access to turkey.

That’s why the Biden Regime has been cracking down on them, as have authorities in places where Democrats have achieved single-party rule such as San Francisco and Berkeley. The objective, as with automobiles, is to incrementally make gas stoves unobtainable by hyperregulating those who provide them and driving up the price. Yet it appears that Kamala “Heartbeat Away” Harris might not regard the menace posed by gas stoves with appropriate gravity:

Consider Disney, the whole purpose of which is to provide entertainment for kids. Employees at the Epcot theme park will promote it by wearing pronoun pins:

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has featured Kim Petras, a role model presented to youth by liberal cultural engineers. His focus on promoting degeneracy is not subtle:

Petras, the transgender German pop star, said he wants his gay fans to engage in sex during performances of his current concert tour, where children as young as eight are allowed to attend.

In a recent conversation published in Interview magazine, Kim Petras — who is a man but identifies as a woman — acknowledges that lewd and pornographic acts are taking place in full view.

“There’s definitely gay sex happening, which is lit,” Petras said. “In the crowd, and that’s the goal.”

Petras is going on a tour through the USA and Europe:

“And if you look at the show, it’s kind of inspired by Dante’s Inferno and the different levels of hell,” the singer said.

The innermost level of hell, deserving of Satan’s worst torments, is the destination of a society that tolerates companies like Disney and entertainers like Petras.

He was a patriot who played the drums during the Revolutionary War, according to a muster roll. Afterwards he moved from Virginia to Georgia, where he owned a farm and at least six slaves.

The shame:

Angela Davis gets no credit for her illustrious ancestors. By the same token, the rest of us who have ancestors who owned slaves inherit no blame — especially considering that everyone on earth is almost certainly the descendant of both slaves and slaveowners.

However, the nutty professor would not agree. She has screeched that white Americans should be forced to pay slavery reparations.
