A Beautiful Sight

Who would have thought Rahm Emanuel’s autograph would be such a pleasant sight to behold:

Earlier this month, the city of Chicago wrote a check for $399,950 to the Second Amendment Foundation, a gun rights group located in Bellevue, Wash. The check was a reimbursement for legal fees the foundation incurred in the McDonald v. Chicago case, which resulted in the United States Supreme Court overturning the city’s ban on handguns.

Too bad the $400 grand doesn’t come out of the hide of Chicago bureaucrats, rather than taxpayers. But then, people who elect left-wing goons have to be willing to pay the price.

On tips from AC and Bob Roberts.

I was wondering if someone could help me with this, seriously, because I’m still ignorant on some matters. So how can this get overturned by the supreme court regarding chicago, but still be in effect in New York City?
That a serious and non rhetorical question.
    Much thanks

NYC still needs to be hit with a lawsuit.

The Second Amendment foundation needs our help.

The people that elect the schmucks that cause them to have to pay such bills need to be smacked repeatedly with a clue-by-four until they stop it.

Even in solid coinage this amount won’t be a cog in the Chicago Machine.

I read this a few years ago. Call it Chicago Politics 101.

What a frickin’ tangled evil web.

  7. SNuss says:

That isn’t such a big check. Daley was fined $30,000, plus another $1 million to be paid by Chicago taxpayers, for the illegal closing of Meigs Field.

    It’s the “Chicago Way”.

  8. Bob Roberts says:

    AC deserves full credit.

The moonbats in CA routinely have to issue IOUs instead of real checks because of their out of control spending.

I thought maybe, seeing as it’s good enough for the state, that I’d start paying my CA State taxes and other things to the CA governments (state, county, city) with IOUs, but my attorney suggests it might not go over so well.

  10. LOL, I’ll keep my guns, you can keep the change! 🙂
