American Psychological Association Denounces Masculinity

In the olden days, the American Psychological Association existed to promote psychological health. But as Robert Conquest observed, any organization not explicitly right-wing sooner or later becomes left-wing. The APA became woke. Now it opposes psychological health, in favor of disease, degeneracy, and abnormality — that is, in favor of moonbattery — having recently…

… released guidelines concerning men and boys, saying that so-called “traditional masculinity” not only is “harmful” but also could lead to homophobia and sexual harassment.

Homophobia refers to the failure to embrace demasculinization and sexual perversion. This is the equivalent of a doctor saying exercise is harmful because it wards off disease.

The concept of sexual harassment has expanded to include most any active interest by men in the opposite sex.

“The main thrust of the subsequent research is that traditional masculinity – marked by stoicism, competitiveness, dominance and aggression – is, on the whole, harmful,” reads the news release by the famed association.

The APA thereby promotes whininess, weakness, submissiveness, and all around loserism.

The APA denounces what it calls “masculine ideology,” which it defines as

“a particular constellation of standards that have held sway over large segments of the population, including: anti-femininity, achievement, eschewal of the appearance of weakness, and adventure, risk, and violence.”

To build liberal utopia, we instead need effeminate men, lack of achievement, shameless indulgence in weakness, and cowardice.

Progressive social engineers will be delighted that the guidelines include a word salad of their favorite terms: patriarchy, privilege, sexism, et cetera.

Many people seem to embark on a career in psychology in secret hopes of curing their own psychological defects. At the APA, they end by glorifying defects and trying to cure health.

On a tip from 1-Bodhisattva.
