Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin Call Off Their Divorce

Love won’t keep them together, but criminality might:

Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin and her jailed sext-a-holic hubby Anthony Weiner have ended their pending divorce case.

Identical statements from their lawyers Wednesday cited the scandal-plagued couple’s desire to protect their 6-year-old son by settling outside court…

If Huma wanted to protect their son, she would keep him far away from Weiner. The poor kid appeared as a toddler in one of the lewd selfies the former Democrat congresscritter likes to sext to young ladies.

The more likely reason for calling off the divorce:

[Michael] Stutman, a prominent Manhattan divorce lawyer who’s not involved in the case, speculated that Weiner and Abedin might want to stay married to invoke spousal immunity.

Abedin was involved in Hillary’s almost certainly criminal mishandling of classified information, some of which turned up on Weiner’s laptop.

New York law states that a husband or wife can’t be “required to disclose a confidential communication made by one or the other during the marriage.”

Not long ago, Weiner was going to be the next Mayor of New York. His blushing (for good reason) bride was about to become sidekick to President Hillary. Those bullets have been dodged.

But at least they still have each other.

On a tip from Byron.

Does anyone know how Hum A. Weiner’s earning a living now that her, uh, “boss” hillary is out of a job?

  2. Mr. Freemarket says:

I can understand Weiner’s situation…he has to compete for his wife’s affection. What Huma sees in Weiner is a mystery…outside of acting as her beard.

  3. Mr. Freemarket says:

Not to worry. Bill and Hillary still have to administer the relief funds for Haiti. So they are not exactly broke. And Hillary still needs companionship.

CROOKED HILLARY LOSES: Huma proves that once you go WEINER, you can’t go back !!!!

  6. Alisa says:

At least $3.1 million of the Haiti funds went to Crooked Chelsea for her wedding. Whatever was left over probably went into her bank account.

Leaked Podesta emails confirm @ChelseaClinton diverted over $3.1 million of #HaitianRelief funds via #ClintonFoundation to pay for her extravagant 2010 wedding. Was this money ever returned to Haiti? And if not, then why? #ClintonCorruption @USEmbassyHaiti

  7. Mr. Freemarket says:

We cannot expect the Haitians to be able to handle large quantities of money. Fortunately we have Bill and Hillary to manage all those funds for them.

  8. Mr. Freemarket says:

Does she receive extra pay for hazardous duty? She certainly should!

  9. seaoh says:

TWO WORDS SPOUSIAL PRIVALAGE as long as they are married they cant be compelled to testify against each other.

  10. The Uhlan says:

because this would be a federal criminal prosecution, the spousal privilege is federal law.

  11. Frank says:

Not unless you consider an occasional “tongue lashing” from Mad Cow Clinton hazardous duty pay.

Bill and Hillary are still married.. and there is no love lost there..

  13. Frank says:

    How romantic!

  14. The Uhlan says:

and it’s why I’ve stayed married all these long, long, endlessly long years.

  15. Pork_Soda says:

well at least they have each other….

  16. Billy TwoKnives says:

    Some mutual CYA?

  17. StaunchConservative says:

The feds don’t need any corroboration. They have the pics of him along with the 14 year old’s testimony and they have the emails that Humma sent Carlos Danger on the laptop.

  18. The Uhlan says:

I’m making a point about the privilege. the article mentioned a state privilege, but since this is a federal prosecution for a federal law violation, the privilege is under federal not state law.

  19. Talcum X says:

I don’t think New York law will save them from treason.
