Black Lives Don’t Always Matter Most at GoFundMe

When leftists signal their virtue by donating money to the rioters, it may be because of Black Lives Matter, but it isn’t because black lives matter. Sometimes the life of a white mostly peaceful protester matters more, as when Blake David Hampe apparently had bail money provided through GoFundMe after stabbing conservative black journalist Andrew Duncomb:

Hampe was charged with felony assault and booked on a $250,000 bond. …

Andy Ngo believes Hampe may have been bailed out by the PDX Protest Bail Fund, a crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe.

Launched amid the Portland riots, the campaign uses collected money to bail out rioters, looters and other criminals. As of Friday, the fund had collected over $1.3 million.

The donors do this to prove what good people they are. But not all good deeds are deemed permissible at GoFundMe:

It’s not clear why GoFundMe allows the fund to continue given its treatment of Dawit Kelete, the yet-unconvicted black man who accidentally rammed his vehicle into rioters who’d been standing in the middle of a Seattle highway in early June.

Following the incident, Kelete started a GoFundMe to raise money for his legal expenses, yet the site promptly deleted the campaign.

Despite the hateful rhetoric spewed by maniacs like John Thompson, the Black Lives Matter insurgency is not about race. The issue is never the issue; the issue is always the revolution.

On a tip from Lyle.
