Brenton Tarrant Terror Spree Provokes Intended Reaction

Brenton Tarrant set back his own cause by making it easy for the liberal establishment to demonize opponents of Islamization. Even so, his terror spree in Christchurch may have the effect he intended.

Tarrant probably wanted to accelerate inevitable violent upheaval in the belief that if we have it out soon, we will win — but the frog in the pot approach pursued for now by Islamic colonists will succeed if given time, because eventually they will have demographics on their side. If this was his motive, Islam’s liberal allies have played into his hands by overreacting dramatically, thereby escalating tensions.

First, they cracked down on the right of law-abiding citizens to defend themselves. Then, they humiliated New Zealanders on behalf of Islam by rubbing this in their face:

New Zealand broadcast the Islamic call to prayer nationwide Friday to honor the Muslim community in the wake of the Christchurch mosque attacks.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, adorned in a hijab, attended an Islamic service in Hagley Park near the Al Noor mosque, in which thousands of mourners observed the Islamic call to prayer, or adhan, live at 1:30 p.m. local time. The ceremony was one of several conducted throughout New Zealand…

Ardern recited a passage from the Koran just before the recitation of the call to prayer, first in Arabic and then in English.

Even Vidkun Quisling must be puking in his grave. Appropriately expressing condolences is one thing; obsequious displays of dhimmitude are something else.

When it comes to the 1,400-year-long fight to the death between Islam and the West, no one in New Zealand need wonder which side their government is on.

While liberal women smugly congratulate themselves on their political correctness for wearing hijabs in solidarity with Islam, it will occur to only a few of them to wonder how many Brenton Tarrants they are creating among those who don’t want New Zealand gradually transformed into Syria or Somalia.

The duty on the right is to direct this anger away from terrorism toward more constructive approaches while we still have the free speech to do it.
