Bukchang: What Progressives Are Progressing Toward

With every passing day, the ratchet moves another notch to the left. Government gets bigger; our freedom gets smaller. This path can only take us to one place: total government. North Korea is already there. Here’s what it looks like:

That’s what we’re trading our freedom for, every time we let progressive statists (“liberals” as they now call themselves) take another inch.

    When she “testified” before Congress, was it Nancy Pelosi and company to get ideas on what to do with the rest of us? Surely it wasn’t to interfere with the Obama’s favorite “philosopher” Chairman Mao’s latest incarnation.

    After having personally attended a Foreign Services Committee hearing on Afghanistan during the summer of 1996 and listening to impassioned pleas from old men telling the committee how the Taliban were killing their children, I can tell you that this woman’s testimony fell upon deaf ears. With the exception of some members of Congress who see North Korean as a Utopic Vision. Here in NY, John Liu the City Comptroller had a pal on his staff who openly extolled North Korea as being “at the front line of the liberation struggles against imperialism.”

    I hope someone has the “football” and is ready to use it before we all go into the terrible dark night.

    The left is reshaping the law and thus the country to choke out family values oriented conservatism. They have no moral standard so they can lie all they want to achieve their goals.

    Yet, we instead go to Libya to help radical Islamists take control of the government because the evil dictator wasn’t hostile enough to Israel. Lisa Ling’s sister spent some time in one of these camps. Yet there are people who say this can never happen in the U.S. We are headed there and only the completely ignorant will be surprised. Like those in the OWS protests—while they stand in the streets complaining that the U.S. is evil because they won’t give them more free stuff, they have NO idea this is going on, nor would they even know N.Ko exists.

    PROGRESSIVE: Promoting or favoring progress toward better conditions or new policies, ideas, or methods.

    The left is doing nothing of the sort. They favor failed ideas that have been tried numerous times, without success, which consistently led to failure and worse conditions for those subjected to them. The last few years under Obama and the Democrats is a prime example as America has weakened considerably and the world is moving closer to global war, likely nuclear, initiated by North Korea and/or Iran and possibly others.

    Among the other ideas “progressives” have supported over the years was a gem known as “eugenics” – with famous progressives publicly calling for efforts to “chlorinate” the gene pool by, you guessed it, reducing or eliminating reproduction among certain racial and ethnic groups.

    Prohibition also came about due to the progressive “temperance” movement.

    LIBERALISM: the belief in the importance of liberty and equal rights.

    So how is it that someone who believes in equality can demand that one group pay more taxes than another?

    So how is it that one who calls themselves a liberal can support calls for socialism, which is diametrically opposed to personal freedom and liberty?

    You know why. The Hitler Channel et. al. almost never shows the horrors of Soviet Gulag system, the Khmer Rouge in Laos and Cambodia, Mao’s China. For two reasons. One, nowhere near the documentation as had the Third Reich especially film archives, and two, the statists will not allow their brand to be tarnished with the facts of history.

    The sure as heck don’t want you to see the atavistic reality of the Perfection of Socialism in 2011. Not going to happen. Not while they have yet another generation of sheople to sell.

    I hear ya, I hear ya. I guess I was just thinking out loud again. I mean, just think of what would happen if more people knew the truth about it all. Modern day concentration/prison camps right on the border of a free and prosperous nation, and no one talks about it?! How about a “Korean Spring” where an entire nation could be set free? Sigh.

    Cannibalism is well-documented in the North. The entire North is run like a concentration camp; the subject of the video was in a concentration camp within a concentration camp. Everywhere you’ve been in Asia has food.
