Celebrate Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day

The War on Chick-fil-A is only a front in the greater war by the Left against everything that is good and decent. Fight back today by celebrating Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day. Your duty consists of eating a tasty chicken sandwich and waffle fries. Star Parker explains why it’s important:

The vile attacks on the firm and its owners, the Cathy family, should make clear, finally, that the “gay rights” movement is not about refining and advancing American freedom, but about rewriting American values and advancing, not freedom, but the homosexual political agenda. …

Can it really be that in America today a businessman can be labeled a bigot, boycotted and cut off by suppliers because of the crime of being a Christian?

When Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy made his now famous incendiary admission that “we are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit,” he was not pontificating. He was responding to a question in an interview done in a paper I expect is not read by many homosexuals — the Baptist Press.

This innocuous and highly conventional opinion has been punished with a jihad against Chick-fil-A, even in the absence of any credible evidence of “discrimination” against privileged perverts. Lib bureaurats in Chicago, Boston, and San Francisco have even attempted to prevent the company from expanding in the seeping pustules of moonbattery they rule, First Amendment liberties be damned.

This appalling phenomenon demonstrates that progressives will not stop pushing the front lines in the culture war until we stop them, despite the horrific damage they have already inflicted.

One court decision after another over the last 50 years has, step by step, purged any hint of religion and traditional values from our schools and public spaces.

Has it made this a fairer, better, freer nation? If you think breakdown of family, 40 percent out-of-wedlock births, a million abortions a year, $16 trillion in national debt, and government dependence is better and freer, yes.

The current cultural and moral devastation and the economic ruin that has inevitably followed are only the beginning if we don’t rally and start turning them back.

Make your way to Chick-fil-A today. Maybe you’ll see Star Parker there.

On tips from Incitatus and Kate.

I just tried to go to my local Chic-Fil-A. The drive-thru line was wrapped all the way around the building and for blocks down the main thoroughfares leading into the restaurant. People were parking blocks away and walking to the restaurant. Unfortunately, I had to go back to work and couldn’t wait to get lunch, but it did my heart good to see that many people standing up for their values! We are tired of being pushed around by special interest groups and we are NOT going to take it anymore! I’ll try again for dinner.

  2. Geddyn says:

I’d be more apt to support them if their food wasn’t overpriced, disgusting junk.

Not that it matters, anyway, since there are none even remotely close to where I live in California.

  3. Louie says:

My nearest Chick-fil-A (about nine miles for me, each way), in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, was absolutely packed, inside and out, as of about 11:00AM. I couldn’t wait, but will try again later. . . .

  4. Tchhht!!! says:

I would go if there was one in the Seattle area.

  5. metalgarth says:

I can’t go today but I will make an effort to go there soon

  6. A10A says:

Huckabee’s plan is a resounding success. The turn lane to get in to my local Chick-Fil-A is 400m long and it is entirely filled with cars. The normally empty parking lot at the far end of Petsmart is filled with people parked for Chick-Fil-A. It looks like Black Friday out there.

I’d love to see the sales numbers for today. Moonbats would choke on them.

  7. StanInTexas says:

This is no different than the Kirk Cameron NON-controversy. If anyone offers an opinion about their beliefs, expect the Left to demonize you for daring to differ from them.

Homosexuals can continue to fight for whatever rights they want to, but they can no longer claim to fight for tolerance. That LIE is obvious to everyone!

  8. rockman says:

I had two of their tasty sandwiches for lunch. The place was packed; no parking places were available and the drive through line was looooonnnnnggg. I’m sure Dan Cathy feels properly chastised for being such a meany.

  9. Louie says:

Someone please provide the biblical reference in which the man does the right thing by God, and is rewarded with so much bounty that his storehouse can’t handle it all.

Is not Chick-fil-A perhaps the modern day example of this?

  10. Kevin P. says:

A friend posted some pics on FB about the two Chick Fil A’s in Amarillo, Texas. Both covered up inside and out! Wish I was in Amarillo today…

Thanks for a great blog also. I enjoy it very much! :o)

  11. Noelegy says:

I posted about the Chick-Fil-A boycott on Facebook, and I said that while I personally hold a gay-friendly attitude, I don’t see the tolerance in trying to shut down those who don’t believe what you think they should believe. I further said that I felt that Dan Cathy had as much right to free speech as any American, and that people were free to eat there, or not eat there, as their consciences dictated, but that I thought it was ridiculous that mayors were now sayingt that CFA wasn’t welcome in their cities. A gay friend of mine asked me if I’d still feel this way if Dan Cathy had issued a statement about mixed-race marriages. I thought about it and replied that yes, I would, because provided the restaurant does not engage in any discriminatory hiring or selling practices (which CFA does not), the owners STILL have freedom of speech.

I’m getting really tired of my leftist friends’ trendy little “I’d like my chicken without extra HATE on the side” statements. I really don’t see where Cathy said anything that could be construed as hate. Of course, I guess if you don’t state that you are 100% in favor of gay rights and gay marriage, why then, you must be a stinking, hate-filled homophobe, and a plague upon your house.

The biggest scoundrel on the planet is a person who used their religion to justify their hatred and mistreatment of others.

  13. Noelegy says:

P.S. I had lunch at my local CFA on Monday, and it was blindingly obvious that the boycott is NOT hurting them any.

  14. Nangleator says:

So why would Cathy find one part of the Bible sacred, yet ignore and violate many other parts of the Bible? Your support of him can’t possibly be on religious grounds. He’s a terrible Christian.

  15. IslandLifer says:

Uncle Pinko this thread us about chik-fil-a not Islam. Wrong place again you minuscule walnut brained child

  16. IslandLifer says:

Dangle he doesn’t support your jockstrap and that of your gay lovers sitting in the same pile of laundry. Good enough for me. Fag off now

  17. Uncle Pinko says:

Island Lifer, my comment refers to ALL religions.

  18. Mikhail Evansky says:

    # Nangleator:

    Genesis 19

Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom —both young and old—surrounded the house. 5 They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him 7 and said, “No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing.
24 Then the Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah —from the Lord out of the heavens.

The Word of God is plain and simple in regards to sodomites and sexual perverts.

Uncle Pinko says: The biggest scoundrel on the planet is a person who used their religion to justify their hatred and mistreatment of others.

Exactly HOW does a man stating his beliefs constitute “hatred” and “mistreatment” of others?

So why would Cathy find one part of the Bible sacred, yet ignore and violate many other parts of the Bible? Your support of him can’t possibly be on religious grounds. He’s a terrible Christian.

EXACTLY what biblical “violations” has he committed?

  23. Nangleator says:

Mikhail Evansky, Leviticus 11:7-8 “And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you. Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.”

You might also note that Chick-fil-a doesn’t remember the Sabbath, or keep it holy. (That’s in the top ten, if you recall.)

  24. Geeknerd says:

You’re thinking of the “name it and claim it” crowd. “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal” Matthew 6:19-20

  25. Nangleator says:

Kanaka Girl: “Exactly HOW does a man stating his beliefs constitute “hatred” and “mistreatment” of others?”

Exactly how does publicly refusing to patronize a firm constitute “vile attacks”?

  26. Geeknerd says:

Eat at In-N-Out Burger! They have Bible passages on their cups and burger wrappers. However, cheeseburgers are treif; meat and dairy in the same dish.

  27. Doug says:

Exactly how does publicly refusing to patronize a firm constitute “vile attacks”?

By the MAYOR and ALDERMAN of a major city THREATENING to put them out of business….that’s how MORON.

  28. Geeknerd says:

Boycotting a business is not a vile attack. Standing outside a place blowing whistles, beating drums, and shouting through a bullhorn insults and verbale attacks at patrons of the business is a vile attack. Also, refusing to let a business open because of the beliefs of its owners is a vile attack.

“If you don’t like abortion, don’t have one.
“If you don’t like guns, ban guns for everyone else.
“If you don’t like gay marriage, YOU MUST BE PUNISHED!”

Island Lifer, my comment refers to ALL religions.

EXCEPT for communism, socialism, liberalism, unionism, hedonism, nihilism, Islam….whooops!

  30. Nangleator says:

Yeah, Geeknerd. I guess the Bible is like a menu. Just pick what you want and leave the rest… then pretend you’re holy and just because of it.

  31. metalgarth says:

Read the book of Acts; Christians aren’t held to dietary restrictions. Old Testament law was fulfilled by Christ. Looks like you are the one “picking what you want from the Bible and leaving the rest”

  32. Joe says:

Exactly how does publicly refusing to patronize a firm constitute “vile attacks”?

Because it’s being done by leftist liberal democrat commies.

    leftist = vile
    liberal = vile
    democrat = vile
    commies = really vile

    Any questions?

  33. IslandLifer says:

Metalgarth, that’s WAYYYYY over Dangles head. If you start talking about Jesus fulfilling the law of Moses you’re going to make his head spin and then I’m going to have to call it Tangles.

  34. Chad White says:

You can thank the tribe for this idiocy. They have convinced every group that they are victimized by whites and should hate whites, when in fact we are all victimized by the tribe, especially whites.

You mean what you Libtards do with Marx and his cronies?

  37. Jay B. says:

Taking my family there tonight. My wife chides me for eating fast food but this is for a good cause… and their chicken sandwiches are really good, anyway.

  38. Jay B. says:

Also, after reading this whole thread…

One of the trolls read his talking points and stopped thinking after getting up in the morning. The owner never said anything bad about gays, he said he supported the traditionnal family. Leave it to the rabid animals to extrapolate.

Second, this is clear proof that no matter how loud the left and the gay agenda are… they are still a huge minority. All they do is bawl and scream but they represent such a small sliver of population that if the media wasn’t carrying water for them constantly, they’d fade to obscurity within a month.

PS, don’t miss CFA’s homemade lemonade!

  39. Henry says:

Running some errands today; while CFA is not close to where I am going, but even further away from my home, I will be heading there for a little lunch. Report later today…

  40. Geeknerd says:

Also remember that the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.

Let us pray for Nangleator that the Holy Spirit will change his heart.

  41. StanInTexas says:

Interesting (but not surprising) how the moronic Liberals are crawling out from under their rocks to criticize Chick-Fli-A for a controversy started by the Liberals.

Want to boycott the company for the religious beliefs of the owner? Fine and dandy. Eat KFC or graze for all we care. But when you LIE (Dan Cathy’s statements were not hate and there is NO discrimination), physically harass, or use the law to stop Chick-Fil-A from conducting business; then you have crossed the line and will be treated accordingly.

  42. Doug says:

Just one question for both of you Uncle Commie and NumbNutsGleator, what exactly do you have against Star Parker?

    Are you RACIST?

What’s your home address? We’re going to organize a FREEDOM picket, freedom from your HATRED and RACISM!

  43. IslandLifer says:

That’s right!! Tangle and Punko are racists!! What did Star ever do to deserve this kind of treatment you racist bigots! Why do you commies on the left hate black Americans so much?!! Just because she eats chicken? That’s sooooo racist!!!!!

It must be awful to live with the illness of the left.

  44. Jimbo says:

    The troll is a fool.

  45. MicahStone says:

I had to drive nearly 40 miles (one way) to the nearest Chick-fil-A. There was a long line for food, but it moved quickly. I enjoyed my lunch there not just because of the good food, but also because it clearly pi$$ed off every lunatic-leftist in the area. In many cars driving by the restaurant, the occupants either gave the finger (d-cRAT socialists) or honked and waved their support (normal people who respect the 1st Amendment). The latter far out-numbered the former. It was an interesting experience.

  46. St. Gilbert says:

Comparing mixed race marriage with same-sex “marriage” is nonsensical. The difference is not one of degree, but of kind. To condemn mixed marriage would indeed be bigoted and possibly racist, because mixed marriage does nothing to violate natural law nor does it alter the real definition of marriage. It would also be immoral. To disapprove of ssm is not bigoted or immoral, if done on the foundation of sound first principles. If your gay friend does not understand those simple facts, please do your best to inform him/her about the basics of natural law and about the real definition of marriage. That your gay friend seems not to understand either of those things, reveals the shallow level of thinking that pervades the Leftist mind.

  47. wingmann says:

I went by three CFA’S today in Houston…ALL were so packed and the drive-thrus were wrapping around each one.
I witnessed Hope for free America!

  48. Simply LOVE the place, been eating there for years

Hard to beat it for the money, and well run too

  49. Stephan the Original says:

Apparently, Mangleator cannot get his head around the concept of the Old and the New Testament, and that there is continuity with laws pertaining to morals (ie. homosexuality, bestiality, incest, lying, murder, etc.) and the End when Jesus died on the cross to the ceremonial and civil parts of the law – like dealing with pigs.

But explaining a simple concept like that to moonbats is impossible.

  50. Henry says:

Just got home. No CFA for lunch… BECAUSE THE PLACE WAS PACKED!!! I asked the people just outside the front door how long they had been waiting – 30 minutes! And they said the line was shorter when they arrived. I just couldn’t wait that long. The Wife felt bad for me, so she said she would console me with a CFA dinner on her way home from work! Yay!

F-U PROGS!! Do you get it now? AMERICA IS SICK OF YOUR CRAP!

  51. Judge Smales says:

Liberals. People whose minds are so open, their brains have fallen out.

  52. Henry says:

Liberalism: Ideas so good, you have to be forced to accept them.
