Charged With Hate Crime for Covering Black Lives Matter Eyesore

In a land run by moonbats, no good deed goes unpunished. But if you desecrate and destroy the statues of great men like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Christopher Columbus, the chances of legal repercussions are remote, because liberal local authorities will hold off the police and even cheer you on. In Martinez, California, this cheering took the form of authorities allowing the now menacing words “BLACK LIVES MATTER” to be painted across a road to make explicit that the streets belong to rioters and vandals. When a pair of patriots stepped forward to clean up this disgraceful disfigurement of the northern California town, they received punishment that is rarely forthcoming for anti-American BLM/Antifa goons.

From the San Franfreakshow Comical, via MSN:

The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s office on Tuesday filed misdemeanor charges against Nicole Anderson, 42, and David Nelson, 53, both of Martinez. Each faces charges of violating another person’s civil rights, vandalism, and posession [sic] of tools to commit vandalism. If convicted, each could face up to a year in county jail.

Lest anyone miss that the ultra-left has been politicizing law enforcement (thus the current War on Police), the DA spouted the corrosive propaganda of Black Lives Matter as she made the announcement.

“We must address the root and byproduct of systemic racism in our country,” Contra Costa County District Attorney Diana Becton said. “The Black Lives Matter movement is an important civil rights cause that deserves all of our attention. The mural completed last weekend was a peaceful and powerful way to communicate the importance of Black lives in Contra Costa County and the country.”

The pair were captured on a now-viral video where the woman, later identified as Anderson, dumped a bucket of black paint and began to roll over freshly-painted yellow block letters spelling out Black Lives Matter in front of the Wakefield Taylor Courthouse on July 4. A man, identified as Nelson, said on camera that racism is “a lie” and that “all lives matter.” Both people appear to be white.

You can see why authorities feel the need to throw the book at them.

Looks like thoughtcrime is rife in Martinez:

On Tuesday, Martinez police were searching for a person who illegally painted “White Lives Matter” in white letters just a couple miles away from the downtown “Black Lives Matter” mural.

Needless to say, authorities will never approve a “mural” stating that white lives matter. Yet we are preposterously asked to believe that systemic racism works in favor of whites rather than against them.

Calling the good deed a “hate crime” allows for harsher punishment.
