Chuck Woolery Cuts $1.2 Trillion From the Budget

The absurd “super committee” tasked with pretending to trim a few pennies from the bloated federal budget that literally threatens to destroy our economy would be less of a farce if one of the pinkos on it (e.g., Patty Murray, John Hanoi Kerry) were replaced with Chuck Woolery:

If we were serious about preventing economic collapse, we wouldn’t be asking what to cut from the federal budget, but rather what not to cut. Beyond its extremely limited constitutional functions, every penny the government spends makes America weaker and less free. The budget could be cut by 90% with no ill effects that wouldn’t be more than compensated for by the massive boost it would give the economy.

On a tip from Shawn.

THen there’s the fact that a “cut”, as far as Congress is concerned, is merely a reduction in the amount of increase that otherwise was going to take place.

Which is why I say THROW THEM ALL OUT! All except those who really, truly mean to CUT spending and hold the line on taxes.

  5. IslandLifer says:

Throw them out, no more spending, immediate dissolving of useless departments, and the only bills allowed for introduction would be ones to undo the clusterf#cks they’ve created. That’s for an appetizer.

Oh, actually, I did know. I guess you could say I’m “being dramatic”.

What the American people refuse to understand, or accept, is the fact that our system of govt. doesn’t work. It’s a failed system being held together by the corruption and lies of the elected crooks, and our money. It’s a 50 story tower built on a swamp. And guess who will sink with that tower?

Chuck is the man. He lives about five miles from here and when I worked at Home Depot he used to go in there all the time. Very nice guy, and VERY conservative.

  11. Jodie says:

I sometimes hear these beautiful things coming from conservatives like Chuck Woolery. Shortly after that, the person is usually stifled by the main stream media and the left wing public and then I don’t hear much more of this kind of talk. Sigh…

  12. Mike M says:

Don’t fool yourselves. Nothing is going to get cut.

Too many pigs at the trough. Too many people addicted to federal handouts and subsidies.

We can’t even go back to pre-Obama spending levels. Somehow we were able to fight two wars and not leave grandma out in the street without her medicare. Yet, Obama comes in, essentially doubles the federal budget and now we can’t figure out what to cut?

Here’s the easy solution (that no one will do). Just cut all post-2008 crap Obama put in place. Freeze non-defense spending at that level, make the Bush tax-cuts permanent, roll back all new regulations put in place by this administration, repeal Obamacare, and then let the economy grow us out of debt.

  13. Alan says:

As I posted here before, balancing the budget is quite easy. All the government has to do is get rid of YOUR Social Security (or your parents’), YOUR Medicare, YOUR military benefits, YOUR school loans, YOUR FHA mortgage, YOUR mortgage interest deduction, YOUR making work pay tax credit, and the government grant/contract YOUR company received.

Yes, Jodie and Mike, the system is flawed. America is not a Democracy, it’s a Republic, and after a while elections become popularity contests where politicians essentually pay people to vote for them.

The solution? Term limits, and a constitutional amendment that Congress forfeits its salary in any year a deficit is run, no exceptions. “National emergency?” Wherever you are, if you’re thinking about payday, you’re not in an emergency.
