Correct Spelling is Oppression for Generation Snowflake

Moonbattery has rendered Generation Snowflake so soft and infantile that even correcting a millennial’s misspelling can result in theatrical tears and a speakerphone call with Mommy:

Carol Blymire — a “communications and public policy executive, branding consultant, professor, writer” — took to Twitter on Friday to tell the story she overheard of a young writer, probably “in her late 20s,” going over edits with her boss.

The conversation became easier to overhear as it became more heated. At issue was the correct spelling of the word “hamster.” This is perfect when you consider how much young liberals resemble the soft and useless rodents.

Squealed the young writer,

“I learned to spell it with a P in it so that’s how I spell it.”

She has the power to proclaim herself a man and make everyone call her “him.” Who is to tell her that she must spell “hamster” the same way as the dictionary?

Her boss was calm and nurturing, telling the young snowflake,

“I know edits can be difficult to go over sometimes, especially when you’re working on new kinds of things as you grow in your career, but it’s a necessary process and makes us all better at what we do.”

Implying that she could be any better was too much. The enraged snowflake texted her mother, who promptly telephoned. The snowflake put her on speakerphone — and then:

Coddling, participation trophies, and telling everyone they are special have done no favors for anyone — except of course Democrats. Try to imagine this young woman voting Republican.

On a tip from Mickey M.
