Dem Rep. Jan Schakowsky: 20,000 Keystone Jobs Obama Killed “Not That Many”

There is good news regarding the Keystone XL pipeline that would mean Canadian oil continuing to come to us instead of communist China. No, Comrade Obama is not going to let the pipeline be built. But it’s not a big deal, because his apparatchik Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) informs us that the 20,000 direct jobs that would be created “are really not that many”:

She could have a point. Under Obama, real unemployment is well over 20%. What’s 20,000 jobs? It’s not as if even the hundreds of thousands of secondary jobs Keystone would create could reverse the damage Hopey Change is inflicting on the economy.

Those jobs may not be a big deal to an elitist like her but to a pipefitter like me they’re a very big deal.

If 20,000 REAL PEOPLE are “not that many”, then one lousy communist congress “person” is equivalent to less than nothing. There is nothing more worthless than nothing – except ‘her’. And why does it look like a transvestite?

Jobs are only important when it comes to their jobs.

Despicable. It proves (and this will be demonstrated time and again during the general election campaign) they don’t care about jobs.

I’ve been banging this since his election: BO’s citizenship has not been properly vetted and this will have huge implications for future presidential elections.

Not a popular subject for Moonbattery..above it all, perhaps, …but it now looks very likely that Georgia Judge Malihi could rule that BO is ineligible to hold the office of the presidency. This comes after BO ignored a subpoena to appear and present evidence for qualification to appear on the GA 2012 ballot, and since allowing testimony and evidence against BO’s American citizenship.

“In Georgia, state law gives the Georgia Secretary of State the right to question or challenge any candidate’s qualifications for holding public office or appearing on state ballots. The same law also says that any “elector who is eligible to vote for a candidate” has the authority to question or challenge the qualifications of any candidate.

A small group of Georgia voters have taken advantage of that law to question Barack Hussein Obama’s qualifications for holding the office of President of the United States and whether or not he is qualified to appear on the 2012 ballot for the entire state of Georgia.”

The evidence presented clearly demonstrated that BO’s father was not a U.S. citizen. Judge Malihi may rule therefore that BO is ineligible under the Constitution to serve as President, or much less, to be allowed on the GA 2012 ballot.

    Duckwalk back to Kenya.

But public sector workers paying an additional 3% toward their health-care is a travesty?

You know, there are a lot less than 20,000 Congress-critters, if most lost their jobs I think we could consider it ‘not that many’.

  11. RICH says:

Wow. 20,000 jobs are not that many when you compare them to the 47,081,806 collecting food stamps, you dumb broad. Which raises another issue…

  12. Bob Roberts says:

And while we’re on the topic of jobs, Porkulus was a major factor in claims Obama and Democrats in Congress “saved or created” a bunch of imaginary jobs.

Well once again his practice of picking winners from among his political supporters is causing jobs to be lost, not saved or created. Third time this week, in fact:

I agree that the quesiton of Obama’s citizenship validity should have been thorougly explored and settled before he was allowed to even run, not to even get to getting elected and taking office.

But it’s a little late to worry about that with regards to his first term (but not his second, I’ll grant).

HOwever, you made a statement that suggested that just because his father was a foreigner that automatically makes him ineligible and I don’t believe, under current interpretation and application of the law, that is so.

And if that is the sole fact some judge tries to use to rule against Obama, the attempt will eventually fail.

It is unfortunate but true that all you have to do to be automatically awarded citizenship here is be lucky enough to be born here – which most reasonable people admit is ridiculous.

Apparently despite some real curious circumstances surrounding the documents released, most people have given up on the citizenship issue. There apparently is enough reasonable evidence Obama was born in Hawaii verus not enough reasonable evidence he was born in Kenya such that those who keep pushing this line of inquiry are seen, by most, as wasting their time and effort.

I do believe that a much better way to ensure we rid this country of Obama would be to work to defeat him & Congressional democrats at the polls. Then of course there’s always criminal charges, as he has certainly violated enough laws and the Constitution – though that’s a dangerous road to start down because, once you do, you know the moonbats will always try to go there as well over every little nonsense thing they can think of.

  14. Sam Adams says:

Previous legal decisions have found that a natural born citizen, as dictated by the constitution, requires that both parents be US citizens.

Personally I wouldn’t cede any avenue to get rid of this Marxist, including denying him a place on the 2012 ballot.

Right you are; they wish to create a new underclass. People who vote for them, don’t speak English so they don’t understand when they are being lied to. Plus somebody has to replace the blacks as they are aborted into extinction.

The Democrats continue to be the party of the slave-owners.

  21. ant says:

Tao and Sam Adams, it makes it convenient, as well, that those third-worlders the left wants to import as a majority are used to power-hungry petty tyrants and taking orders from the ‘State’ in the countries they come from. I think the left is hoping for an easy transition.

You ever hear the saying Tao?, “Taxes are the fine you pay for thriving too fast”. They don’t want American productivity, as Obama said, it heralds in ‘a painful era of self-reliance’.

  22. ant says:

Sorry Toa, got your letters re-arranged.

  23. Marmo says:

Lose 20,000 jobs here, lose 20,000 jobs there, and pretty soon you’re talking about a lot of jobs!

A job means a family that can take care of itself. A family that can take care of itself buys goods and services from local and national businesses. That stimulates those businesses so they can grow and hire more people.

But with Obama, he claims that unmeployment checks and food stamps are some of the best ways to stimulate the economy. I’m still trying to wrap my head around that.

  24. Even though she is a “Obamatown” liberal. It still amazes me how these morons get elected. Politics aside, this woman has the intelligence of a door knob.

  25. Fiberal says:

Even though it was argued as a guideline for eligibility, it is almost impossible that Malihi will make a ruling based on the Natural Born Citizen clause of the Constitution.

What Malihi is likely to rule on, is the weight of the evidence of forgery, fraud (BO’s stolen SS#) or inadequate documentation with regard to BO’s claim of citizenship. That is also what Arpaio is looking at.

Any ruling by Malihi applies only to GA.

It is unclear (to me) how BO’s disregard of the court’s subpoena will play in Malihi’s ruling.

The state of HI cannot be compelled by the GA court to produce the original BC, nor will HI voluntarily submit it into evidence by subpoena, so there will probably not be a definitive ruling by Malihi on the long form forgery. This (jurisdiction issue) could also provide grounds for dismissal.

The larger issue centers around the standard of evidence for citizenship, which may go beyond the state of GA. Either BO meets it or he does not. If Malihi ignores the testimonies regarding the forged long-form BC (which I think BTW he will) then he may rule that the sequestered BC under the authority of HI reaches the right level of evidence for eligibility in GA. The relevancy of the stolen SS# and sealed medical records, etc. probably will not be considered to be material to the issue of ballot eligibility.

However, if Malihi does consider these pieces, then the criteria for eligibility is open.

This all presumes that Malihi makes a ruling and does not simply dismiss.

The case is worth watching bc it could set a criteria for eligibility that would apply to future presidential elections and the vetting of candidates. That may apply in 2012, not just in GA but in other states that allow similar hearings.

You and Sam Adams bring out what are probably the main factors in “Liberals” being more than glad to have Latin American underclassers flood into the U.S.. My great-grandfather travelled extensively through Mexico in the first years of the 20th century, and he marvelled at the Leftist Mexican media and rulers’ efficiency in conditioning the people to “know their place” and to blame the “evil Yanqui” for all ills. “Bolshevistas” (Commies) like Villa and Zapata and other strongmen were held up as vanguards of “social justice” who must be followed without question, thus playing upon the ancient pagan tendency among the Indians to revere “Big Brother” leader figures whom they see as their only benefactors.
As Selwyn Duke calls them, “imported ready-made socialists”.
