Democrat Debt Demagoguery

God help this country if more than a few clueless idiots are buying the debt disinformation projectile vomited by Democrat demagogues like Tom Harkin and Charles “Chuck You” Schumer:

Note how they try to trick us into assuming that not giving them carte blanche to spend our money up to infinity is the same thing as advocating default on the debt they’ve run up. It is the opposite. If no one stops Obama et al, they will keep spending and monetizing until our money is worthless, at which point default will go without saying.

Obama’s insane spending spree may already have exceeded the country’s crippled economic capabilities. If he were yanked from office tomorrow — and run out of Washington on a rail, covered in the tar and feathers he so richly deserves — your grandchildren might not live long enough to pay the debts he’s accumulated with wasteful spending in only two and half years. The only way we can possibly pay our debts is if we stop spending more than we have. Even Tom Harkin is intelligent enough to understand this.

If Michele Bachmann wouldn’t raise the debt limit no matter what, this is the equivalent of a bartender saying he wouldn’t give a customer another double martini no matter what, as the customer lies comatose on the floor, nearly dead of alcohol poisoning.

On a tip from Shawn.

I’ve said before that we may get to the point when all we have to pay off our foreign creditors is with our natural resources. We well know the hap-hazard way the red Chinese treat their enviorment, they will have even LESS concern for ours if they get control of our mineral wealth.

Is there any tree-hugging, leftist who wants that to happen? It may if you keep opposing a responsable budget.

  2. TeaPartyTim says:

Well, Obama’s people have a lot of experience taking other people’s stuff to the pawn shop.

Instead he’ll be hocking our children’s inheritance to the Godless Chinese.

  3. Fiberal says:

How long do we have to listen to these liberal liars standing there spewing their propaganda directly into the craniums of their uninformed, unintelligent, useful idiots?

Excise the vote from the country’s non-taxpayers and you pull the toilet handle on these guys.

  4. TeaPartyTim says:

Exactly. The dilution of the vote has been a disaster. Voting rights should be limited to married adults who own their home and aren’t on welfare – the sort of stable nuclear family which is the foundation of our society.

When deadbeats go to the polls we can’t expect anything other than a deadbeat president.

It sounds like the young mother and her child are very fortunate. Its one thing to be prepared to protect your life (and your child’s) against attacking criminals, but its quite another for a pregnant women to chase after someone who snatches her purse. I’m glad things turned out the way they did.

As for the big-time federal criminals, its going to take a lot more than pregnant kickboxers I’m afraid.

  6. NeeNee says:

Tom Harkin has represented my state of Iowa since 1985 and will be 72 this year. How the heck do we get rid of him? He makes sure to spread the wealth in absolutely every one of Iowa’s 99 counties. GOP can’t seem to find anyone mighty enough to defeat him. Personally, I think it’s going to take the country going down in flames; assuming we will still have elections, the great unwashed will turn to an independent (or Tea Party candidate) with common sense & the Founding Fathers’ knowledge and courage.

TeaPartyTim, you’re so right. With basically 50% of US citizens not paying any taxes, they will continue to vote for anyone who keeps their status quo!

  8. TeaPartyTim says:

Nick this debate isn’t about Republican against Democrat.

It’s we the people versus big bloated government.

It’s heartland families and American values against snake-tongued East coast liberal academics and their atheist moonbat followers.

God bless America and partisans like you go away.

  11. TeaPartyTim says:

I’ll pray for you, Nick. God willing, maybe one day you will understand. It’s we the people of this country against what socialist Democrats and commie community organizers have perverted it. You’ve been ramming a freight train full of debt, faggotry, drugs, promiscuity, welfare, atheism, multiculturalism, and moral relativism down the throats of middle America and we’re sick and tired of it. Your San Francisco values are not welcome in most of this country.

  16. Booger says:

Nick, you are a dumbass. CONGRESS controls the spending, not the Prez. When PUBs handed over the keys and DEMs took over Congress in 2007, the deficit was $161 Billion at fiscal year end, and total Debt was $8.6 trillion. So this Sen. Harkin POS is either blatantly lying, or clueless or both. DEMS proceded to merrily quintuple the deficit in less than 4 years and now our Debt is over $14 trillion. THAT is unprecedented!

And by the way, the tax revenue to the government spiked UP after the so-called “Bush tax cuts” of 2003, and we had the bigest 4 year INCREASE in tax revenue in United States history.

The adults have to step up now and take away the DEMs’ credit card. Their unsustainable profligate spending is just about to destroy the country, while they stand clueless and blather with NO PLAN and NO BUDGET in 2 1/2 years. Adding MORE debt is the dumbest F’ing thing we could do. There is ZERO chance of default anytime soon. We have PLENTY of cash flow to pay the interest. REPEAT, there is ZERO CHANCE of default. ZERO. Any politician who tells you different is lying to you.

And here is a little secret for the idiot math-challenged DEM political hacks: we are going to get a downgrade no matter what because of DEM spending, so lets have that happen withOUT another $2-$3 trillion added in your debt from raising the ceiling.

NO COMPROMISE WITH MARXISTS. Absurd to say the way to avoid a downgrade is to BORROW MORE. LOL. In what alternative universe does that even make sense. Slash the government spending which is crowding out private enterprise, and NO NEW taxes. THAT is the ONLY WAY we get growth and revenue and get out of trouble.

  17. Festivus says:

Nick, you might try and find the truth for yourself rather than rely on a liberal source for your information (Kos, HuffPo, Media Matters, et. al.).

The gross public debt did increase 3 times in actual dollars during Reagan’s 8 years. As a percentage of GDP, however, it increased 50%. So, your source that you are copying and pasting from is distorting the facts.

Under Reagan’s 8 years, GDP was nearly doubled. Tax revenue also nearly doubled.

The difference was the spending. You lefties don’t seem to get that. Reagan beefed up the military spending during his tenure. That is a fact.

On the other hand, Democrats were mostly in charge of both houses of Congress during those 8 years and they pushed for social services spending. Reagan had to oblige to get what he wanted.

That was a bipartisan compromise approach.

Contrast that with the Obama tenure (2 full years – 2009 through 2010). GDP has increased a meager 4.1% and the debt as a percentage of GDP has increased 28%. That’s just two years and all the projections tell us it will be much much greater than that.

Put your grown-up pants on and quit relying on others for your information. The great thing about the internet is that much of this information is readily available for anyone to research for themselves.

“Exactly. The dilution of the vote has been a disaster. Voting rights should be limited to married adults who own their home and aren’t on welfare – the sort of stable nuclear family which is the foundation of our society.”

So single college students, young professionals, or service members fighting overseas should not be able to vote? You are absurd. Instituting a rudimentary IQ test as a barrier makes more sense that what you just suggested.

Media Matters or some other leftwing site must be instructing you to spew ridiculous shit as you cannot possibly be real. Your screen name combined with your past extreme statements on religion and race in previous threads obviously show what a troll you are.

    @ Nick

No other president has increased the size of government and abused fiscal policy in the history of the USA than Barack Hussein Obama. Our total national debt is $9.7 trillion. The US GDP is $14.8 trillion. When Obama came into office, the national debt was $6.3 trillion. The policies pursued by the Obama administration have clearly exacerbated the fiscal situation and Bush can no longer be blamed from now on. The future does not look bright if the current policies hold.

Reagan and Bush may have increased the US public debt while in office, but the national debt-GDP never reached as high during their administrations. Now our national debt-GDP ratio is near 70%. Our economy will enter a Japanese-style lost decade if measures to curb public spending are not taken. The Neo-Keynesians and social engineers serving in government are the ones to blame.

Adulthood begins from adolescence upon marriage. God ordained it that way and it has been the bedrock of civilization for thousands of years.

Marriage is the foundation of our society.

If people want to be full members of society then they need to seek heterosexual marriage. If they do not, then they are not complete.

The two exceptions I would make are for widows and servicemen.

In principle those who have not taken on the adult responsibility of marriage should not be exercising leadership and input at the ballot box.

Single college students and young professionals are still emotionally immature if they have not taken the first step towards a wholesome family life. I don’t want people without an adult family perspective making decisions of such importance. Those who have a successful marriage and wonderful family understand what college hipsters and yuppie brats do not.

“Marriage is the foundation of our society.”

No, the US Constitution is the foundation of our society. Though as a liberal plant posing as a Tea Party member, I’m not surprised that slipped your mind. If marriage was the foundation of our society, we would be in hell of a lot of trouble due to the high divorce rate and multiple single-parent households. Our republic is based upon Constitutional principles, not marriage.

I find it rich that some one as emotionally immature such as yourself can make value judgments on who is emotionally immature. They are single people that are far more emotionally immature than some married people. There are yuppie brats that make more money and contribute more to society than a leftwing internet troll such as yourself.

How do you girls f this ‘vote’ thing up so bad?

As I said above: “Excise the vote from the country’s non-taxpayers and you pull the toilet handle on these guys.”

Taxes. Repeat after me: “Taxes –Only those who pay taxes vote.”

Its plain and simple. If you allow someone to vote that does not pay taxes you introduce a huge conflict of interest into the economic and political system. You don’t want people driving without a driver’s license; why allow someone with no investment in the country to decide who will run the country?

Non-taxpaying voters is exactly why we have arrogant scum like Harkin and Schumer giving our last few remaining tax dollars to their favorite unions.

Right now, about 43% of Americans don’t pay federal income taxes. What happens when that number goes to 51%?

What happens? End of the two party system. No debt ceiling and no restraint on spending. And no restraint on taxing anyone or anything whatsoever.

And what’s to prevent that from happening? Nothing.

It’s certainly not going to be little girls pulling each other’s hair over religion.

This is Ayn Rand pure and simple.

    So keep it up guys.

Unlike liberals who walk in lockstep and think exactly alike, take any 2 conservatives and they will argue with each other until they go home crying.

In the meantime diarrhetic liberals continue to excrete guys like Chuck U Schumer and Harkin into the political pool.

But hey, at least you girls got to tell each other off, right?

  29. SNuss says:

This should clarify who spent the most:

According to the White House’s Office of Management and Budget, during his eight fiscal years, Bush ran up a total of $3.283 trillion in deficit spending (p. 22). In his first two fiscal years, Obama will run up a total of $2.826 trillion in deficit spending ($1.294 trillion in 2010, an estimated $1.267 trillion in 2011 (p. 23), and the $265 billion in “stimulus” money that was spent in 2009). Thus, Bush ran up an average of $410 billion in deficit spending per year, while Obama is running up an average of $1.413 trillion in deficit spending per year — or $1.003 trillion a year more than Bush.
