Democrat Event Features Homage to Cop-Killer Assata Shakur

Just how radical — i.e., just how sociopathic and malevolent — has the Democrat Party become? You can get an idea by considering that at a conference featuring eight POTUS hopefuls, the crowd chanted in unison the rhetoric of cold-blooded communist cop-killer Assata Shakur:

Jamal Watkins, the Vice President of Civic Engagement at the NAACP, began by telling the audience at the We the People conference that he would invoke the words of Assata Shakur, also known as Joanne Chesimard.

The black supremacist Joanne Chesimard/Assata Shakur was convicted of the first-degree murder of New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster. She reminded us why we need the death penalty by escaping to Cuba, which harbors her for ideological reasons and to poke a finger in America’s eye. She remains on the FBI most wanted list as a fugitive terrorist.

Radical leftists revere her as a role model, especially in academia. Temple University’s Marc Lamont Hill, familiar from many cable news appearances, sings her praises. Black Lives Matter hooligans have been seen wearing “ASSATA TAUGHT ME” on their shirts as they riot. The UC Berkeley Black Student Union demanded that a building be named after her. City College of New York named a community center after her. The Colin Kaepernick Foundation donates money to Assata’s Daughters, an outfit that promotes “direct action” — which presumably would entail murdering police officers.

Watkins then quoted Shakur, pausing to let attendees repeat after him: “It is our duty to fight for our freedom. It is our duty to win. We must love each other and support each other. We have nothing to lose but our chains.”

In contrast, regular Americans have everything to lose, starting with our country if these maniacs are able to seize more power.

If the quote does not sound alarming, remember that leftists speak in cloyingly fake euphemisms that are often Orwellian. By freedom, they mean the slavery of collectivist totalitarianism. To “win” is to destroy American society. To “support each other” is to impose communism.

Having nothing to lose but their chains was lifted from the Communist Manifesto, which could virtually serve as the Democrat Party platform now — provided you throw in a few pages about killing babies, suppressing economic output in the name of the weather, punishing white people, and promoting sexual perversion.

Participants at the conference included Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke, Cory Booker, Julián Castro, Amy Klobuchar, Jay Inslee, and Kirsten Gillibrand.

At least Joe Biden wasn’t there — but probably only because he is laying low in the futile hope that the #MeToo onslaught blows over.
