Dems Block Efforts to Prevent EBT Cash From Going to Vice

If Democrats are to spend the USA into total economic collapse before the public wakes up to what they doing, they are going to have to hurry. That’s why they are making sure that EBT cards continue to be used to make cash withdrawals of other people’s money at casinos, bars, porn shops, and strip clubs, even as the nation staggers toward bankruptcy.

Democratic [New York] state lawmakers, led by Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, have blocked welfare-reform legislation that would end “sinful spending” by preventing people receiving government benefits from withdrawing taxpayer-funded cash at jiggle and gin joints, The Post has learned.

To justify the unjustifiable, Dems fall back on their old friend moral equivalence. We are told there is no difference between drawing a paycheck from Big Government, and feeding off it as a parasite.

One reform opponent, Assemblyman Richard Gottfried (D- Manhattan), compared welfare recipients to municipal employees and said the government shouldn’t dictate how the taxpayer-funded checks are spent.

“Last I checked, this is America, and if somebody wants to propose that policemen, firefighters, sanitation workers, state legislators and other people paid with government funds be restricted as to what they use their money for, let them propose it,” Gottfried said.

Last time I checked, this is America in name only, because commies like Gottfried are running it.

Gottfried: flushing your money down porn shops.

“Assemblyman Richard Gottfried (D- Manhattan), compared welfare recipients to municipal employees”

It’s hard not to agree with that.

  2. Joe says:

So what he’s saying is that the typical government employee sits around on his fat ass all day with his thumbs up his butt too, just like the other parasites. OK, got it.

When is it time to sue these assholes for posing as public servants?

  3. Sam Adams says:

Wonder if Gottfried cares if our new municipal workers start spending their EBT cash at gun stores?

BTW, are these EBT recipients similar to municipal workers?

    Both work long hours.

Both work hard to make sure the tax payers money is not wasted.

Both plan on retiring on the largess of the taxpayers.

Both vote for the same political party.

    From the story
The state Senate passed the reform measure last year — and if the Assembly doesn’t act by 2014, New York could lose $120 million in federal funding because of new regulations, officials warned.

So it’s not about the money, it’s about the perversion.

This is reason #23,987,214 why I loath liberal progressive communist scum.

Every last one of the bastards can fry.

Nothing that an executive order from the onederchild can’t fix..

Also: When I give a handout to a panhandler, it’s never cash – but I’m usually happy to get them McDonald’s or a 7-11 burrito. Will these progressive liberal communist bastards like ‘GotFried’ deem it “hateful” of me to give the homeless bums food rather than cash?

Maybe I won’t give them anything, then. Screw progressives – they screw up EVERYTHING and they are proud of it.

When welfare recipients start using their EBT cards at gun shops – then we might see some call for restrictions!

“but I’m usually happy to get them McDonald’s or a 7-11 burrito”

I used to do that too, only I’ve had homeless people turn their nose up and want cash only. I’ve had 1 homeless guy remove all but the meat from a couple of tacos I bought him and he threw his veggies all over the sidewalk. Another took the plastic container from a sandwich I bought him and dumped that on the sidewalk as well, 10 feet from a garbage can. Never mind how aggressive panhandlers are here in San Francisco….

  11. Nathaniel M says:

Hey EBT for strip clubs in NY??? No problem!

    It’s free, swipe yo’ EBT!!!

  12. Jimbo says:

@ Nathaniel M – I feel your pain – I spent 18 years stepping over turds deposited on SF sidewalks by the bums. At least the multitude of Hawaii bums don’t crap on the sidewalks.

  13. Uselogic says:

Maybe I’ll pay someone with an EBT to make a donation to a conservative cause. That’ll get some Dem support for oversight real quick.

  14. Alxandro says:

Here’s a thought. What happens if they take away their EBT cards and our guns at the same time?

  15. Buffalobob says:

I always smile when the suckers of the public teat refer to themselves as public servants.

  16. Clingtomyguns says:

This insipid little weasel leaves a slug’s trail of slime behind him. Rest assured he get’s kickbacks from people who want to keep that EBT cash flowing into their shady businesses.

“For shamelessness, it sure is hard to beat Assemblyman Richard Gottfried (D-Man.), who moved this week to — get this! — help Medicaid fraudsters evade detection.

As The Post reported Wednesday, Gottfried introduced a bill that would, in effect, “kneecap” the state’s Office of the Medicaid Inspector General, as one Medicaid investigator puts it.

So why is Gottfried so concerned about protecting potential targets of Medicaid-fraud probes?

Maybe it’s the fact that he raked in nearly $50,000 in political contributions last year — about 79 percent of which came from insurance, pharmaceutical, medical, dental and related industries, including $5,000 from the health-care-workers union.”

Another reason to boycott these cities. Cut off as much money as possible, until the learn personal responsibility.
