Dems Boo Putting God, Jerusalem Back in Platform

After Democrats deleted God and Jerusalem from their platform, confirming their intention to turn their back on both, they unleashed such a firestorm of bad PR they were forced to shoehorn them back in. The reaction from the rank and file was disturbingly revealing:

The embarrassing reversal was compounded by chaos and uncertainty on the convention floor. Three times Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the convention chairman, called for a voice vote on the changes and each time the yes and no votes seemed to balance each other out. On the third attempt, Villaraigosa ruled the amendments were approved — triggering boos from many in the audience. …

“There was no discussion. We didn’t even see it coming. We were blindsided by it,” said Noor Ul-Hasan, a Muslim delegate from Salt Lake City, who questioned whether the convention had enough of a quorum to even amend the platform.

“The majority spoke last night,” said Angela Urrea, a delegate from Roy, Utah. “We shouldn’t be declaring Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.”

Muslims, Islamophiles, and other enemies of Western Civilization prefer to think of it as Al Quds, rather than the Israeli capital. In contrast, Romney wants to move the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Prominent Jewish Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) claims not to know Obama’s stand on Jerusalem. If he had seen 2016, which explains Obama’s pernicious antineocolonial ideology and general hatred of Western Civilization, Schumer could easily guess.

As for God: What use could a party that prominently features a slut demanding that Catholics be forced to pay for her birth control have for God? The DNC has even banned local churches from distributing gift baskets for ideological reasons.

Why would the party that is home to the overwhelming majority of atheists want to mention God? Only after being outted did they make a “quick” change. Did that quick about-face hide what the majority of hard-core Demoncrats truly believe? Perhaps, but only for those who have lost their ability to think for themselves.

As the Marxist in the Oval Office has proven time and time again, God has no place in “his” America. In “his” America, God is replaced by the State.

  2. Sam Adams says:

Actually, many people may have objected to the word “God” because they have a different name for him. Just saying….

  3. Sam Adams says:

Is it true that 98% of all Muslims vote democrat?

  4. StanInTexas says:

It is clear from the video that the MAJORITY of Democrat convention delegates did NOT want God and Jerusalem to be a part of the platform. The Platform Committee clearly did the job they were told to do by taking the references out, then had to put them back in when Obama’s duplicity was exposed.

Ladies and Gentlemen, what you have seen here is EXACTLY how Obama tried to rule in his first term and it will be the way he DOES rule if he gets a second term.

  5. Jim says:

Of course. Don’t you know God is standing in the way of their ultimate goal? And that’s marginalizing the Constitution the same way as the Ten Commandments to get rid of it.

  6. Laurie says:

What’s even funnier was the entire process for adding God back into the platform. Voting by the delegates was totally ignored by Antonio Villa-Reconquista and was instead rammed through. The boos weren’t just for the word “God”. They were boos from the losers who were p!ssed that their vote was overruled by some politician who wanted it his way.

In other words, the process wasn’t “fair”. It was very “Democrat” (not “democratic”), but it wasn’t “fair”.

You’d think they’d figure out that that’s what happens everytime a Democrat is involved. Oh wait…they don’t care when the railroading happens in their favor.

  7. RKae says:

Here’s hoping that God boos them right back!

…And may all the angels in Heaven give them “down twinkles!”

wondering how many Palestine phone banks for Obama just closed down?

  9. QuietMan says:

I’m starting to warm to Romney. Unfortunately, our local congressman prevents me from voting straight Republican so I’ll be chad checking this year….

  10. Wilberforce says:

Like Savage said last night, it was done to bring back Jewish Dems who were ticked at the original language of the platform. Why they still vote for National Socialists is a different mystery…

Another shining example of democRat voter fraud!

  12. MicahStone says:

As dingbat pelosi would say: “The convention had to approve the platform so we could then find out what’s in it.”

“Democrats Change Platform to Add God, Jerusalem”…and you know this bunch of heathen, islamofascist-worshiping, devil-worshiping, alinskyite anti-Semites is really, really sincere and really, really mean it! 😉

I agree with STAN and LAURIE 100%; “hishonor” all but said “Look fools, I’m giving you aNOTHER chance; TAKE THE HINT!”.

Behold the neo-communist party: “It matters not how YOU vote, they will do what THE PARTY decides is best for their cause.

That was THE real shinning Occam’s razor moment. He f’n steamrolled the vote and it was plain to all to see! PASS THE FREAKING POPCORN PUHLEEZ!!

    Que Flounder!

  15. Clingtomyguns says:

The Democraps can’t get their lies straight about whose idea it was to leave God and Jerusalem out of the official party platform. One thing is for sure, they would have had no trouble with the decision to remove God and Jerusalem if they weren’t called on it:

Immediately after the vote late Wednesday afternoon, platform committee head and former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland told Fox News the move was merely a “clarification” and not an “error.”

But President Obama’s deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter contradicted that in an interview Thursday morning with Fox News, as she explained how Obama personally intervened to restore those references.

“They were a mistake and he said we’ve got to fix it,” she said. “President Obama didn’t agree with the platform. He sought to change it.”

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, said Thursday that any voice vote among 6,000 delegates was bound to have some dissent.

But she, like Booker, could not provide a firm explanation of how language referring to Jerusalem as the capital of Israel was left out of the Democratic platform in the first place.

‘It was a technical omission, and nothing more than that.” Wasserman Schultz said, utilizing a term she also used Wednesday night in explaining the platform discrepancies. “There was not any — through the drafting process and the platform committee process, there was never any discussion or debate or commentary over adding or subtracting it.”

However, on September 3, the PRNewswire-USNewswire/ reported this which states “SOURCE [is the] Democratic National Committee”:

    — “Today the Democratic National Committee announced that it has posted online the 2012 Democratic Party Platform, which will be officially adopted by the Delegates to the Convention tomorrow, Tuesday, September 4. The Party Platform articulates clearly President Obama’s vision for moving our country forward by restoring economic security and building an economy that is built to last.

The Democratic Party Platform reflects President Obama’s vision for the future.”

So three days ago the Party Platform “articulates clearly President Obama’s vision,” and “vision for the future,” but after Ryan and Romney notice that Obama’s vision removed God and Jerusalem, Obama promptly waffles and changes his clear vision in favor of political expediency.

It wasn’t as if this document wasn’t thoroughly scrubbed and vetted:

“In July, the Platform Drafting Committee, chaired by former Governor Ted Strickland, met in Minneapolis to receive input from the public and to write the first draft of the Platform. Then on August 11, members of the Platform Committee, chaired by Mayor Cory Booker and retired Lt. Gen. Claudia Kennedy, met in Detroit. At the Platform Committee Meeting in Detroit, committee members submitted amendments to the draft Platform before unanimously approving the draft and sending it to Charlotte for the vote by delegates tomorrow.”

One of the libtard law professors, Tobias Wolff, who was on the committee stated:

“There is not a word in the Democratic Party platform that I’m aware of that isn’t fully embraced by the president, his campaign, and by the party itself. Of course, there is disagreement within the party on some issues, but there is a unity of sentiment between the language of the platform adopted by the party and the president’s campaign.”

Proof that the Democratic Party doesn’t care what the people want, even their own.
