Disarming Populace Gets Underway in South Africa

Julius Malema of the Economic Freedom Fighters party is not in charge in South Africa, but he is driving the agenda, as the ruling African National Congress knows it must keep pace with his radicalism or risk losing power. That may be why South Africa is moving forward with the confiscation of property from whites without compensation.

Malema says he is not calling for the massacre of all whites yet. “Yet” is a weighty word, especially when you consider that a South African court has now ruled that 300,000 people must turn in their guns, rendering themselves defenseless.

The ruling dictates that those who failed to renew a gun license 90 days before it expired must surrender the firearm to the nearest police station to be destroyed.

Many naïve political observers will paint this event as a casual gun control scheme, but any astute student of politics will recognize that the floodgates are now open for further encroachments…

Confiscating farms that have been in the family for centuries and that are a family’s only means of livelihood, without compensation on the basis of race, goes a lot smoother when only the government has guns. So does the straightforward state-executed genocide that is clearly visible on South Africa’s horizon.

[F]armers and their workers are already suffering ongoing attacks against their property. One could only imagine what it would be like for these persecuted farmers once they are stripped of their right to self-defense.

The best time to resist was when the treasonous government yielded to pressure from sanctimonious fools and abandoned Apartheid in the absence of a sane alternative. When the post-Apartheid government inevitably comes for white-owned guns will be the last chance for any resistance at all. After that will follow Rwanda-style piles of corpses.

South Africa should serve as a fair warning to Americans of the dangerous consequences gun control poses.

If we didn’t learn anything from the Nazis, maybe we will learn from the ANC. Or maybe we will just look the other way.

On a tip from R F.
