Diseased Vermin Run Wild at Los Angeles City Hall

Previously we learned that the typhus epidemic in Los Angeles had sickened at least one bureaucrat, Deputy City Attorney Liz Greenwood. Looks like she won’t be the last:

On Thursday, Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez provided to KTLA video showing rats running through City Hall offices. Spooked staffers could be heard shrieking in the background.

With typhus, as with plague, rats spread the fleas that spread the disease.

Council President Herb Wesson has filed a motion:

Wesson’s motion asks for a report on the scope of vermin and pest control issues at City Hall, and instructs city staff to report back with a cost estimate for removing all carpets in the building…

Speaking of vermin and pests, the scope of the moonbat issue at City Hall is vast, or Los Angeles would not be suffering from terrible diseases from out of the history books. Sanctuary city and homelessness-promoting policies are likely to blame, in addition to the incompetence regarding trash disposal that can be expected when a city focuses on providing a welfare safety net hammock rather than appropriate services.
