End-Stage Hoplophobia: Autistic 12-Year-Old Hauled Off in Handcuffs Over Imaginary Gun

An aggressive campaign is underway in public schools to impart liberal hoplophobia, so that kids will grow up with such a dread of firearms that they will never dream of using them to defend themselves against criminals or tyrants. An incident in Conroe, Texas demonstrates how far educators are willing to take this:

It happened Monday to a 5th grade autistic student at Conroe Independent School District’s Bozman Intermediate school.

The offense alleged against 12-year-old David Sims is brandishing an “imaginary” rifle at his art teacher, an educator who apparently felt threatened.

It doesn’t take much to make a moonbat feel threatened or offended. That’s what gives them license to abuse whatever power they might have.

Authorities actually dragged the little kid with autism out of the school in handcuffs.

Here’s the good news:

Montgomery County Attorney J.D. Lambright says given his age and disability it’s likely criminal charges can be avoided.

“We want to get them turned around and on the right path,” said Lambright.

Maybe scaring the hell out of him over nothing will help young David Sims avoid a life of crime. More likely, it will worsen his autism.

David must attend an alternative disciplinary school for the remainder of the Spring semester.

Being thrown in with the worst of the bad behavior cases isn’t likely to help his autism either.

But the fiasco did help the leftists who run schools to further establish the link between guns and draconian punishment inflicted by irrational authorities.

On the positive side, experiences like this may help kids understand why the Founding Fathers regarded the right to bear arms as so crucial.

On a tip from Lyle.
