Fast & Furious Overseen by Anti-Gun Zealot Dennis Burke

What could be more treasonous than getting a Border Patrol agent killed by providing weapons to the vicious Mexican drug cartels that make a mockery of our semidefended border? One thing comes to mind: federal bureaurats committing this crime with the explicit intention of undermining the very Constitution they are sworn to uphold. Even as the Obama Regime resorts to executive privilege to hide behind its wall of “transparency,” the pieces are falling together fast and furious:

Dennis K. Burke, who as a lawyer for the Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee in the 1990s was a key player behind the enactment of the 1994 assault-weapons ban, and who then went on to become Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano’s chief of staff, and a contributor to Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential primary campaign, and then a member of Obama’s transition team focusing on border-enforcement issues, ended up in the Obama administration as the U.S. attorney in Arizona responsible for overseeing Operation Fast and Furious.

The connection between the Fast & Furious operation and imposing restrictions on firearm sales has already been established in emails made public.

Eight days before Obama’s inauguration, on Jan. 12, 2009 — while Burke was working on the transition team — Obama met with Mexican President Felipe Calderon at the Mexican Cultural Institute in Washington, D.C. At that meeting, Obama “pledged” to take action to stop the flow of guns from the United States to Mexico.

This isn’t the only time Obama teamed up with Calderon against the USA. Mexico joined the Obama Injustice Department’s lawsuit against Arizona to prevent the enforcement of immigration law and to facilitate the displacement of Arizona’s population by Mexicans.

Eric Holder was of course on the same page as Burke, Obama, and the rest:

“Well, as President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons,” Holder said. “I think that will have a positive impact in Mexico, at a minimum.”

The talking point was spelled out clearly for repetition by the “mainstream” media: We have to ban guns in the USA because if we don’t there will be more bloodshed in Mexico. Never mind that our government was deliberately facilitating that bloodshed.

The explicit strategy behind Fast & Furious was not to track the guns, but to wait until they were used to murder people in Mexico, then trace them back to US gun stores. Obviously this would create excellent press for people devoted to undermining our Second Amendment liberties. But despite the Obama Regime’s total disregard for lives lost in Mexico (and there have been hundreds), problems developed when arms it supplied to Mexican criminals were used to kill Brian Terry.

No wonder Obama was willing to effectively confess his involvement by claiming executive privilege to suppress F&F documents subpoenaed by Congress. He is in full-fledged panic mode, now that the wheels are coming off the Hopey Changey crazy train. If Watergate was enough to drive a president out of office, this time we are in firing squad territory.

Burke: a pasty bureaucrat with blood on his hands.

Mr. Burke, and other collaborators, are dangerous. I don’t know what makes a man like Mr. Burke become what he is. He should be a patriotic American who supports gun owners’ rights and, as US Attorney, helps Arizona protect itself from the invasion of illegals. What is it that rots the minds of people like Mr. Burke, or Chris Matthews, or Bill Maher or Michael Moore, etc?

That rot is the disease liberalism.

  3. Barb says:

Don’t forget all the PHONEY Reports on how many guns were going to Mexico from the US leading up to the March 2009 very public announcement of Obama’s NEW Program to “stop” gun smuggling. Looks like Hillary was named in those reports. Here is link to announcement of Program:
Now, you can say that was a “different” program but it was NOT! This program was the FLAG SHIP of Fast and Furious and there were other projects in states like FL and TX just like it!

  5. Dr. 9 says:

That is correct Barb. The original reports from this Marxist administration created the false impression that every gun used in a crime in Mexico came from the US, giving Obummer the opportunity to call for dramitic gun regulations. It was his way of over-riding the 2nd Amendment SCOTUS decision.

All that’s left now is to see if the usually gutless Republicans can muster the balls to take Holder, at least Holder, down.

  6. Jan Penner says:

The GOP needs to stay on this and keep pushing. It could be enough not only to take down Holder, but the Magic Negro as well.

  7. Ghost of FA Hayek says:

If Republicans loose the balls to take this to the ending rest assured, we WILL start seeing body counts in Mexico, with blame being passed to all who carry.
Remember, the only thing shorter than the Soros leash on Democrats, or Democrats leash on black Americans is the memory of voters.

No doubt, Vic; the savage leftists are a clear and present danger to American morality, liberty, and prosperity.

Burke looks a lot like “Son of Sam”. Curiously, the are also responsible for the deaths of innocent people. The main difference being that Burke is responsible for a lot more deaths.

That is exactly right. There is no way that these idiots could trace all these guns other than by identifying them for the Mexican government during a murder investigation.

This in part, is why they let such a large number of guns “walk” across the border.

In other words, F&F was a strategy of premeditated murder, put into place for what was probably an attempt to alter the U.S. Constitution.

This plan could only have been imagined and carried out by organized criminals, now indistinguishable from the highest level of government.

Burke has become what he is because he is a hermaphrodite.

Here is another pic of Burke:

Notice that he is not wearing a wedding ring.

To quote Bill Murray: “This man has no dick.”

  13. TeaPartyNation says:

For the Clueless that get their “news” (i.e. leftist propaganda) from the socialist media and therefore know NOTHING about Fast & Furious:

Summary of Fast & Furious (F&F): a program of the OBOZO regime that was designed to manipulate public opinion so they could destroy the Second Amendment freedoms of Americans to own guns. A key element of this despicable plan was to allow mexican drug cartels to gain free access to purchase guns and rifles in the US (principally, Arizona) and then, after the guns had been used in horrific crimes by the cartels, to sway US public opinion (with help from the d-cRAT stooges and puppets in the socialist media) against such “easy” access to guns by federal legislation (or more OBOZO dictatorial decrees) to severely limit ALL gun sales – OR WORSE – to American citizens. The F&F operation was totally and completed botched by the ATF/DOJ when they lost track of the thousands of weapons they let the cartel buy. Nonetheless, the weapons were used in thousands of murders, including the murders of US Border Patrol agents Brian Terry and Jaime Zapata.

Why the “Executive Privilege” cover-up: Documents showing the direct involvement in this plan by Valerie Jarrett, Rahm Emanuel, Eric Holder, numerous other high WH officials and OBOZO, himself, would destroy this rogue, anti-Constitutional, anti-democracy regime if the public saw them. Hence, OBOZO will do whatever it takes to keep them hidden.

Why hold Holder in Contempt: He has stonewalled legitimate Congressional requests for F&F documents for well over a year, and he blatantly LIED to Congress in his 04 Feb 2011 letter stating no knowledge of or involvement in F&F.

  15. Katya Kakhov says:

Good synopsis TPN but it was a bit remiss in not mentioning the spike in foreign military sales to Mexico , rising from 3 to 4 to 58 million dollars by 2010 . That was almost 70,000 rifles , more than half of which disappeared before they ever hit a Mexican armory . We saw these guns daily as they were an intricate part of the “guns fuel violence ” meme as presented by the MSM in their capacity as propaganda arm of the state . Neatly laid out , row after row of M16’s , 40mm grenades , squad atomatic weapons , etc etc . All obtained “at your local gun show and unscrupulous FFL” .

The widely publicized arrests and full court press trials of a few sacrificial”criminal” FFLs (that didnt last long) would have been the first shot in the coming battle for the second . And they would have got away with it too , if it hadnt been for those meddling bloggers .

    But riddle me this .

Why do all the talking heads ,including Issa , keep referring to “A dead border patrol agent ” in the singular ?

How , in a place where they kill around three dozen people a day , did the number of Mexican dead go from 300-200 and then stop ?

How many were killed with 40,000 rifles stolen from the direct sales (FMS)?

Why doesn’t Mitt Uns cleave Obama shoulder to breastbone with this thing ?

  16. Mike_W says:

    Bloody treason.
Everyone involved in Fast and Furious should be tried and executed.

  17. SNuss says:

Since we have an extradition treaty with Mexico, why not encourage THEM to have Holder, and any accomplices in F&F, arrested and taken to Mexico and tried for the murders of those Mexican citizens?

Press conference from March, 2009 where Robert Gibbs, former White House press secretary, Janet Napolitano, head of DHS, David Ogden Deputy Attorney General, and Jim Steinberg, Deputy secretary of state roll out a new initiative that the “President has directed” which included “fortifying Project Gun Runner”, and “working with the Mexicans to facilitate Gun Tracing which targets illegal weapons and their sources…”

when he says taxes go down, he means they go up
when he says change, he means status quo
when hs says you wont pay medical, you will pay medical

perfectly honest if you know how to listen and convert hegelian english to regular english

Why don’t we hear about the beanbag rounds as defense against AK47’s as part of the rules of engagement for the border agents, or, the plans that involved money laundering for the cartels? There is more to this story besides Fast@Furious.
