Fired for Wishing Colleague a “Peaceful Christmas”

Obviously the government cannot provide better healthcare than the private sector. But socialized medicine does allow bureaucrats to purge a large part of society of thought criminals. From Britain:

A Christian doctor went to an employment tribunal [Tuesday] claiming he was sacked because he emailed a prayer to his colleagues.

David Drew, 64, qualified 40 years ago and rose to become clinical director at the hospital where he worked.

But he said he was dismissed after failing to accept an order to ‘refrain from using religious references in his professional communications, verbal or written’.

Dr Drew accepts that he emailed a prayer by St Ignatius Loyola, the 16th century founder of the Jesuits, to colleagues at Walsall Manor Hospital three years ago to try to motivate the department.

He said he prefaced it with the words: ‘I find this a personal inspiration in my frail imperfect efforts to serve my patients, their families and our department.’

He said the email was welcomed by his colleagues. But he was later accused of sending an ‘unwelcome’ text message to a colleague on Christmas Day wishing him a ‘peaceful Christmas’.

The colleague, Rob Hodgkiss, replied with the word ‘likewise’, but a report by the hospital said: ‘While DD (David Drew) may regard such messages as benign, RH (Rob Hodgkiss) perceived them as aggressive and unwelcome intrusions into his private time.’

In the terminal stages of moonbattery, this constitutes a firing offense.

Drew got the boot three days before Christmas. That will teach him.

Stories like this will be hitting closer to home if the ObamaCare power grab succeeds.

This stuff can get you in big trouble in Britain.

On a tip from Agnostic Conservative.

Actually in the terminal stages of moonbattery, Drew would be facing a show trial and execution following his denunciation by Tovarisch Hodgkiss.

Any religion competing with the God-state has to be extirpated.

Similar moonbattery based on a personal Facebook entry:

“Smith was a housing manager at Trafford Housing Trust (THT) when, on Feb. 13, 2011, he posted a link on his personal Facebook page to a BBC news story entitled “Gay church marriages get go ahead” and added his own comment: ‘an equality too far.’

The comment was made on his personal Facebook page, in his own personal time, and was only visible to his Facebook friends and their friends.

Two colleagues read his Facebook comment. One of them posted a response asking Smith: ‘Does this mean you don’t approve?’

On the evening of Feb. 14, Smith posted: ‘I don’t understand why people who have no faith and don’t believe in Christ would want to get hitched in church. The Bible is quite specific that marriage is for men and women. If the state wants to offer civil marriage to the same sex then that is up to the state; but the state shouldn’t impose its rules on places of faith and conscience’.

The comments were brought to the attention of Smith’s employer, and he was disciplined. He was demoted from his position as housing manager and his salary was reduced by 40 percent. He unsuccessfully appealed against the decision.”

Aside from allowing itself to become an outpost for tens-of-thousands of radical Muslim extremists, Britain has also become totally addicted to extreme forms of political correctness to the point where their govt. and the Church of England now (officially) recognize Sharia Law! Obviously, they’ve gone way beyond any sense of logical or rational thought. Yes, even worse that we are.

You atheists who attack the Judeo-Christian faiths are going to get yours one day. Such petty garbage like this which cost a decent man his job is evil. Puts you on the level of that thing called mooslim.

Effective about ten years ago: the only religious references allowed anywhere in the 21st century will be to Islam and Ramadan. Everything else will get you fired, fined, disciplined or ostracized. Got it?

It is time for change. Ballots or bullets, it will happen.

I wonder if the day will ever come when the American people realize their system of govt. doesn’t work. Not just this govt, but the entire system which is all based on lies and corruption, and relies on the complete control, manipulation, and domination of the people.

Nah, i don’t think so either.
