Former CEO of NPR Talks Sense on Gun Control

Ken Stern, former member of the Inner Party, opened his mind and let in the light:

The former CEO of National Public Radio came back from a reporting trip on conservative America having changed his mind about the efficacy of gun control measures, he said on Tuesday.

Ken Stern appeared on “Morning Joe” to discuss his new book, Republican Like Me: How I Left the Liberal Bubble and Learned to Love the Right. Stern, a Democrat, wrote he realized he was cordoned off in a liberal bubble and set off into conservative enclaves of America to expose himself to new ideas.

There is a lesson here for moonbat true believers: never step out of the bubble! No wonder leftist mobs won’t let conservatives speak on college campuses.

Watch as Stern talks common sense on gun control:

On tips from Troy H and Torcer.

Five years after the Newtown massacre, stunning warning signs revealed in FBI report
It’s been nearly five years since the horrific Sandy Hook Elementary massacre, and new documents released by the FBI show that there were stunning warning signs about the shooter, Adam Lanza.
    What were the warning signs?

A resident told police that Lanza had threatened to kill his mother and students before he went on his killing spree. She said that she overheard the 20-year-old say that he “planned to kill his mother and children at Sandy Hook in Newtown, Connecticut.”

She said that he “had an assault weapon and that she was scared of him.”

According to the report, she called the Newtown police, but they told her that since Lanza’s mother owned the guns legally, there was nothing they could do and that she should try contacting the state police.

Another source said that Lanza’s mother was concerned about him being a “shut in” who had not left his room in three months.

    Where is this information from?
The FBI released 1,500 pages from the investigation Tuesday into the shooting that stunned the nation. Some of the information was heavily redacted, according to CBS News. Lanza killed 20 students and six adults in the Sandy Hook Elementary School attack on Dec. 14, 2012. The shooting spree ended when he shot himself.

Um, if Lanza’s mother legally owned the guns, why didn’t she lock them up and/or otherwise keep her son from getting at them?

  5. Jack Bauer says:

Heh….I guess I can understand why he’s the “former” CEO of the pompous, pretentious, and unlistenable NPR.

  6. Mr. Freemarket says:

I doubt he will be invited back anytime soon.

  9. Occam's Stubble says:

Would it have mattered? She was the first one he killed.

  10. Anonymous says:

    True… and she was stupid.

  11. Occam's Stubble says:

The real stupidity was the Newtown cops who didn’t even send a cop by the house to check up on him and/or his mother.

  12. Eddie_Valiant says:

I know this is not a well received opinion, but it was Lanza’s mother who should bear the responsibility for all those deaths.

She knew her son was a basket case and should have kept the weapons locked and out of his reach. She didn’t do that and paid the price. So did the 20 kids and 6 adults.
