Head of San Francisco School Board Wants to Purge School Names of Villains Like George Washington

To inflict utopia, you first have to unmoor us from the past. Under the first modern totalitarian regime, the French even threw out the calendar and imposed a new one with 1792 as Year I. A similar mentality is on display as progressives attempt to cut us off from the history that defines us by demonizing the heroes of the past and replacing them with new heroes — like disrespectful NFL benchwarmer Colin Kaepernick.

Board of Education President Matt Haney wants to purge schools in the San Francisco Unified School District of “the names of men with questionable human rights legacies” — i.e., anyone who lived too long ago to comply in all respects with up to the minute standards of leftist political orthodoxy.

Haney is hoping the school district can have more schools named after people of color, women and LGBT figures, he said.

In utopia, you don’t get a school named after you for founding the country. But you might for indulging in abnormal sex acts — or for refusing to behave respectfully when the national anthem is played.

The idea came to him after listening to a sermon Sunday at Third Baptist Church, a black church in the Western Addition, about 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick protesting the national anthem in recent weeks. The song’s slave-owning author, Francis Scott Key, has a school named after him in the Outer Sunset.

Haney stirred up a conversation Sunday when he posted on Facebook that Washington High should drop the first president’s name and instead be called Maya Angelou High School after the famed author and poet who attended school there.

“We tearing them all down,” wrote in a Facebook comment in response to a suggestion that the school named after Key be renamed after Kaepernick. “No schools named after people who bought and owned human beings and committed genocide.”

By now you might be picturing Matt Haney as looking something like this:

Actually, this is Matt Haney:

Having been a slave owner centuries ago when it was common practice is not the only crime that will result in a trip down the Memory Hole. The James Lick Middle School may get renamed because:

The latter is named after one of the wealthiest men in California in the late 1800s, yet in the 2015 school year, 81 percent of students there were socio-economically disadvantaged.

Unless they are leftist politicians like Shrillary or Bernie Sanders, wealthy people are politically incorrect. Down the Memory Hole!

San Francisco already has a K-5 public school, the Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy, that is named after a degenerate who sexually preyed on troubled underage boys.

If a giant meteor scores a direct hit on San Francisco, we will know why it was sent.

On a tip from Steve A.

That fruit looks like he could fit the school up his ass.

Hmm. Woodrow Wilson re-segregated the military, and had ties to the KKK. FDR was a racist who refused to meet with black Olympic athletes and put American citizens of Japanese ancestry in concentration camps, just because of their race. LBJ was a bigot too, though doesn’t have as well-documented atrocities to pin on him. Apart from the Great Society programs, which ruined inner cities; doesn’t that fact that these programs resulted in increased poverty rates, especially for black people, qualify as discrimination under the doctrine of “disparate impact?” So, we will be seeing pushes to rename schools that bear the name of these shameful racists.

We all know California is no longer part of the US.

  4. MAS says:

There are still refugees here…most are not along the coast or in major cities though.

  5. MAS says:

Goes to show you that the face of raging agenda driven lunacy can often look quite reasonable. I give you Ted Bundy…this guy reminds of something. Oh yeah, decades ago in the receiving jail we could normally pick out the child molesters by appearance (body language mostly) and demeanor. Mr Haney would be a pick.

  6. TrojanMan says:

I was once a refugee from Illinois. I was able to escape and ran like hell for Texas. Many a Californians are coming to Texas. I hope they are checking their progressive tendencies at the door. I do not want to move again to escape regressive policies.

  7. MAS says:

You have you home grown moon bats…Austin springs to mind. In the LEO community we call those that move away from their ghettos for a better life “the devil seed” because they often bring it with them. My son moved there (oilfield engineer, what else?) and is loving it…reminds him of home without the moon bat policies imposed by outsiders.

  8. Occam's Stubble says:

I’m sure they’ll name at least one school after that paragon of human rights activists Che Guevara.

  9. TrojanMan says:

Correct there are pockets of regressives in Texas. In Illinois there is only one pocket of nasty. It unfortunately dominates the other 103 counties. If Illinois could kick out Crook County (Chitcago) it would probably be the reddest state in the union. They did manage to elect a republican governor after i left but that state is still toast.

  10. JeffersonSpinningInGrave says:

Refugee from California, here (not to Texas, at least not yet). Few of my old friends growing up are still in CA. Most have fled to freer states.

  11. Spiny Norman says:

The latter is named after one of the wealthiest men in California in the late 1800s…

Well, in that case, Stanford University will have to change its name post haste.

  12. Spiny Norman says:

Did they leave their “progressive tendencies at the door”, or are they spreading them like an infectious disease???

  13. MAS says:

We remain to care for what remains of family but when mom (the last one) goes so do we. Central valley is quite conservative but the enemy is through the gates…

  14. Spiny Norman says:

    Central valley is quite conservative

Go much more than 30 miles inland from the coast, and the state itself is quite conservative, for that matter.

but the enemy is through the gates…

Yeah, 6+ million illegal aliens might have an effect, I’d wager.

  15. JeffersonSpinningInGrave says:

No proggie tendencies in the group, at least not that I’ve ever been able to discern 🙂

  16. Stosh says:

If they only counted the votes of those that were alive, Illinois would be a red state.

  17. Vic Kelley says:

Matt Haney said “we tearing them all down.” He said that? Did he use a negro dialect. I’d really like to meet Matt Haney’s wife she is not doing her wifely duties. You can tell he ain’t getting any.

Seriously, maya angelou high school can fo guck itself.

  18. grayjohn says:

We need another McCarthy to deal with these communist, progressive, traitorous, anti American rat bastards. Un-American activities fo’ sho’!

  19. 762x51 says:

Just look at the size of that forehead. I knew these vermin would make excellent targets. Civil War II, getting closer every day.

  20. TrojanMan says:

“socio-economically disadvantaged.” i.e. non-whites that have been given millions, billions, nay TRILLIONS of dollars of others peoples money to sit around and do jack squat.

  21. KHarn says:

    “…just because of their race.”
And because their countrymen were AT WAR WITH US. Same for GERMANS and ITALIANS in America.
I know how easy it is to forget little, insignificant details like that.

  22. KHarn says:

I wish Dixie wasn’t. 150 years of yankee domination is punishment enough for any crime we may have committed.

  23. TrojanMan says:

“And because their countrymen” Well actually many were US citizens.

“Sixty-two percent of the internees were United States citizens”.

  24. 762x51 says:

Just a way for you to “gut” check out where you are vs. where you should be.

  25. TrojanMan says:

The next round of secession will be for the right reasons.

  26. KHarn says:

I’ll shed a tear AFTER apologies are issued to the GERMANS and ITALIANS who were interned and NOT MENTIONED by historians.
No, instead I’ll shed a tear for them after someone apologizes for fucking over the SOUTH.

  27. KHarn says:

Oh yeah? Why didn’t the Yankees outlaw slavery in THE UNION when they had the chance? It’s because they were fighting for the DONINATION OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT over the states and for the economic protection of New England.
Start by reading that JOKE called “The Emancipation Proclamation.”

  28. 762x51 says:

That is what we call a target rich environment. In the group I fight with, this is our mindset.

Here’s a suggestion for the “official Portrait”

  30. Grumpy Cat says:

Oh he has, probably several times.

  31. TrojanMan says:

I understand what you are saying, i was just making a clarification that many were citizens. The ones that were not i have no issue with them being interred. The ones that were citizens should have not been interred unless evidence was produced to support their loyalties lay elsewhere. I also agree that you never hear about German or Italian people being interred.

  32. Grumpy Cat says:

Whenever I see the face of that gap-toothed Useful Idiot, I think of this quote from his hero Che:

“The black is indolent and a dreamer; spending his meager wage on
frivolity or drink; the European has a tradition of work and saving,
which has pursued him as far as this corner of America and drives him to
advance himself, even independently of his own individual aspirations.”

    How absolutely….colonialist of him.

  33. JeffersonSpinningInGrave says:

I have never heard of German and Italian concentration camps. Those weren’t close to Manzanar, were they?

  34. TrojanMan says:

Relax… i am agreeing with you that the south had every right to secede.

  35. Jack says:

Matt looks like a homosexual Democrat . He is just one good beat down by the people of color he that admires to realize utopia doesn’t exist.

  36. marcus tullius cicero says:

…Butt, we will always have the Barack Hussein Obama Elementary School in Chitcago!

  37. magic1114 says:

Before Trump builds the wall on the border I think he could use a little practice. Something like putting a fence around the state of Commiefornia. A name change wouldn’t hurt it either… Something like “Commiefornia Total State Hospital”.

  38. JeffersonSpinningInGrave says:

First I’ve heard of the Germans and Italians, though I have heard they were treated with suspicion. I would appreciate a source, but if so let’s add that to the list of crimes we can pin on FDR.

  39. Jack says:

    Stop, you’re upsetting the Canadians.

  40. KHarn says:

I have heard of one for Italians in Texas and my father told me about a German internment camp here in the Tampa bay area.

  41. Ol' Uncle Lar says:

I would imagine the live ones might have objected to being “interred” as opposed to interned.

  42. TrojanMan says:

    My apologizes grammar Nazi lol

A retired partner moved to Alaska and built his home. Before installing the power pole near it he went to the building inspectors to find out how to do so legally. They showed him a pic of one and said “Kinda like this”. When he asked for more info and if there would be an inspection they told him no, that they figured he wouldn’t burn down his own home. If only…
