How You Can Do Something About NFL’s Anti-Americanism

In case refusing to watch NFL games does not feel like a sufficient response to the insulting gestures the league continues to vomit upon America, Budweiser has provided an opportunity to do something less passive:

Anheuser-Busch, one of the NFL’s biggest sponsors, is weighing feedback from its customers on its sponsorship of the NFL.

The NFL player protests of the National Anthem have backfired in a major way on the league. It has seen sponsors pull out, ratings decline and teams play in front of practically empty stadiums.

But a sponsor like Budweiser ending its support of the league would be a devastating blow.

Here’s how you can make an impact:

When customers call the number, 1-800-342-5283, they are greeted by a recording which gives, as its first option, a chance for anyone for or against the player protests to voice their opinions.

“If you are calling with questions or comments about Anheuser-Busch’s sponsorship of the NFL, press one,” the recorded voice says.

“At Anheuser-Busch we have a long heritage of supporting the nation’s armed forces, veterans and military dependents,” the voice says. “The National Anthem is a point of pride for our company and for the 1,100 veterans that we employ. Please feel free to share your feedback after the tone.”

That’s where you let the knee-taking players, Commissioner Roger Goodell, and owners like Jerry Jones have it. Politely, of course. A simple “I will not buy any Anheuser-Busch product until you stop advertising during NFL games” will get the point across.

Anheuser-Busch ran an ad perceived as anti-American during the Superbowl last year. The blowback must have hit hard, because ever since they have been bending over backward to appear patriotic, even renaming Budweiser “America” for the summer. Push them on this and they are ready to move.

be quick – they don’t give you much time after ‘the tone’ to respond.

  2. Mack says:

Why would an American drink that Belgian beer anyway? Or watch the tax-dodging NFL?

  3. Occam's Stubble says:

I tried it the other day but was not given the choice to give feedback.

  4. Molon labe says:

I just got through calling and saying my piece, loudly! I think they heard me!

  5. Chantal says:

Everyone keep sharing the Budweiser number . I found several people that were happy to call .

I already sent them a nastygram. As a lifelong costomer of 44 years, I
let them know that I would switch brands if they did not take a clear
and unambigious stand on this issue. They earlier punted the ball
by blaming this on the NFL. I have been drinking classic Budweiser
    (3) 24 ounce cans a day for several decades.

When he says “uneducated,” he means people who do not get all their news from msNBC.

I forgot where I heard the argument first, but I agree that the leftists can’t really lose here. They have turned an American institution. If the NFL thrives and helps them spread their propaganda, good by them. If the NFL dies and they have killed another American institution, good by them. Either way they are an inch closer to their ultimate goal. It sucks.

So did I, for my husband and I was “sweet as pie” with my feedback. Sometimes you catch a lot more flies with honey as that old saying goes!

  11. ManlyMan says:

    Done

  12. Molon labe says:

That may be true about flies—but the NFL aren’t flies and I think they tend to ignore the honey.

  13. Frank says:

Excellent! They deserve name changes. How about changing Washington Redskins to Washington Pink Bottoms?

  14. TED says:

THEIR tastes obviously DOES NOT lean towards the HONEY end of the spectrum, I’d say more fecalish with the anti-American’s they tend to hire!!!

  15. TED says:

It’s how they got those jobs in the first place…

  16. chatecovfefe says:

I wasn’t talking to the NFL. It was the Anheiser-Busch comment line. The NFL is as disgusting as flies and they won’t be ignoring that honey when it dries up.

  17. […] It looked like foreign-owned Anheuser-Busch might be willing to mend its moonbat ways following last year’s anti-American Super Bowl commercial. It appeared to ask the public for feedback on its willingness to advertise with the NFL, where the players are encouraged to make theatrical displays of their hatred of America while the national anthem is performed. But no: […]
