Irish President Spits Venom at Tea Party

Europe is truly doomed. This unhinged commie demagogue is President of Ireland:

The above clip of Michael Higgins is two years old, but just recently has gone viral.

Marxists like Higgins and Spain’s Juan Manuel Sanchez Gordillo will soon be subsisting on American aid (as foretold in Atlas Shrugged), after their socialist policies inevitably result in Europe’s economic collapse. But that won’t stop them from denouncing the shrinking remnants of economic freedom that keep them alive.

On a tip from Antara.

  1. Jester says:

Wow. WTF gives him the right to criticize ANYTHING American?

Absolutely nothing. Which is why the majority isn’t listening.

  2. Stephan the Original says:

Jester, anybody can criticise anything, just get your facts straight, which this joker obviously does not. The irony that he is whipping up fear about the Tea Party is not lost on me. And his idiotic theme that Obamacare will now take care of 47 million Americans is demonstrably wrong.

What a hysterical and uniformed rant.

  3. Path says:

Obviously during his stay in our great Country he learned nothing about being an American. Yes, Stephan, a hysterical and very uniformed rant.

  10. TrickleUpPolitics says:

Who the hell was he talking to? He sure was angry and he made sure the other person couldn’t get a word in edgewise while he ranted on. He lived in America in the ’60’s and now he’s qualified to judge the Tea Party? Who is he kidding?

  11. TrickleUpPolitics says:

At least the Tea Party isn’t planting bombs in shopping malls like……..some Irish parties have been known to do.

  15. bob says:

At the least he’s passionate about his viewpoints…. I’d like to see someone on the right “go off” like that now and then. Christie has the potential I think.

I don’t think anyone on the right or the left disagrees in some sort of “social floor” below which people wouldn’t fall. I think the disagreement is in the process of doing it and the bureaucracy that comes with it.

  16. Northwesterner says:

Gotta love how this guy fights like a girl, with verbal barbs and self-righteous indignation.

He openly lies and gets facts blatantly wrong:
Medal of Honor =/= Presidential Medal of Freedom
Millions without health “care” (care =/= insurance)

How does one respond to this type of person? He really believes that he is right, that history is on his side, and that his side controls the paradigm. Can you even argue with him? I sometimes think only mockery will work in response to these people.

I just do not want anything to do with them.

  17. Henry says:

Holy crap! What a hysterical, shrieking prog. When he got to the part about whipping people up into a frenzy of fear, the first thing that popped into my mind was the master of frenzied fear – Rev. Sharpton.

Do us all a favor, Mr Higgins… die soon.

Who cares what that leprechaun has to say about America. In the famous words of Seal Team 6 “Wolves don’t care what sheep think”

  30. Louie says:

In my experience, this guy’s rant defines the stereotype of the typical Liberal.

  31. AvatarOfThey says:

Are you going to actually address what he has to say in the video, or are you just going to resort to name-calling? Higgins is NOT a Marxist. The way you can tell is the fact that he’s President of a country that has a higher ranking of economic freedom than you United States, according to the (staunchy conservative and pro-Reagan) Heritage Foundation and their Index of Economic Freedom (google it). In fact, not only is Ireland freer than the US, but so is Canada, Australia, Switzerland and New Zealand – all countries that have universal healthcare.

I don’t know what you meant by “economic freedom”, anyway. Freedom as opposed to what, universal healthcare? The “freedom” to die of a curable illness while I’m working three jobs isn’t a freedom I’m particularly interested in.

was that the Spanish Politician that was seen looting supermarkets recently in Spain? because people were starving and deserved to eat ?

  34. Winston Smith says:

Someone should cr4ate an army of cloned mutant Leprechauns with sharp teeth and claws that rip open Irishmens stomachs looking for “Me Gold” while drinking their whiskey saturated blood as sustainance. Use DNA of Warwick Davis as the base DNA then hit it with radiation and a little gene splicing to get the desired creature.

  35. Aridog says:

AvatarOfThey … do you seriously consider the National Health Care systems of the countries you cite favorably as comparable to the monstrous bureaucratic cluster bundle of our US “Affordable Care Act?”

Okay, I’ll bite….give me 10 pertinent similarities demonstrating commonality and we will discuss it. Okay?

I’ll begin with a hint for you: Did all those wonderful countries also need 2700 pages of law, plus 10’s of thousands of regulatory interpretation, to enact their systems?

The term “Universal Health Care” is easy to toss off the lips, eh …however, the “Affordable Care Act” is anything but “Universal Care” with all of its exceptions, exclusions, taxes, carve outs, and means test stipulations.

Also, tell me, do the health care systems of those illustrious bastions of economic freedom, dynamic productive powerhouses that they are, etc. etc. … also provide for private health care facilities for those who can afford them?

What John Kerry proposed weakly and meekly in 2004 was far closer to a “Universal” health care system. Do you even know what that proposal was? What was the health care proposal by Congressman John Dingell, as defined in legislation he sponsored in Congress every year for over 50 years?

If you seek to lecture us, then do so…tell us what you know and make the points you claim we are missing.

Or toddle off. Up to you.

  36. TrickleUpPolitics says:

AvatarofThey, whatever that means, too clever by half:

As for index of freedom, as soon as we get rid of our Marxist in Chief watch how we zoom back to freedom. And, if Ireland insists on electing dim bulbs like that guy, they’ll be going farther into the crapper. I mean, how are the Irish banks and housing market going there? How is the outflow of young people?

  37. whotothewhat says:

These Marxist scum are becoming totally unhinged. They see the commie brass ring before them, they are as close as they have ever had to realizing their goal of total Marxism world wide. After decades of planning at universities and working in low rung Government positions they are now in charge and they want to complete their life’s work of total control with themselves the elite and us as the slave class. This will get much more evident as the collapse gets closer.

  38. oldguy says:

The collapse of Europe will bring many American opportunities for business, just like the end of WW2. we should prepare ourselves to capitalise on their stupidity.

  39. Louie says:

    AvatarOfThey, August 24, 2012, 3:16 am

Generally, conservatives believe that healthcare reform was/is certainly needed. We just know that Obamacare, as written and implemented, is a clusterfuck of a miserable failure.

  40. Elizabeth says:

This drivel coming from an Irish communist doesn’t surprise me. Remember, Europe is full of 1) The people who were too stupid to leave when their country was in famine and in massive decline and 2) Too chickenshit to leave because at least their lord or king gave them a moldy potato every now and then.

They are the ones left behind. It makes sense that their descendants are socialist losers who cling to the gov’t teat.

  41. AvatarOfThey says:

Oh, trust me, I’m perfectly aware ObamaCare is nothing like universal healthcare. In fact, correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe that kind of system was originally suggested by a Conservative think tank as an alternative to universal care, yes? Confusing the two was, in my opinion, the only mistake Higgins made – or at least, that’s what it looked like when he was talking about a “social floor”. I was just making the point that government involvement in healthcare does not necessarily lead to “shrinking economy freedom”, as Blount phrased it, and it is certainly isn’t causing any problems in Europe as he stated. Ireland is doing better than America, so I would appreciate it if Blount would get off their high-horse and

  42. AvatarOfThey says:

stop whining on about Europe and how it’s “socialist”.

  43. chuck in st paul says:

Another loud mouthed liberal steam rollering the other guy with a load of bombastic bull $hit.

Ireland was a beacon of capitalism and low taxes a bit more than a decade ago. Now look at them – a Euroweenie economic disaster. NHS is a death trap with over 130,000 people a year killed off literally plus God only knows how many ‘accidentally’. We’ve got loads of Canadians bussing down here to the lower 48 to get healthcare access they can’t get at home in any sort of timely manner. Obamacare, as stated above, it NOT universal healthcare. It’s more of a universal clusterf*ck, helping no one but the bureaucracy, while driving up the cost of the care and the insurance.

AvatarOfFey you need to do some much better research before spouting off around here. Thanks for playing. Better luck next time.

  44. Doug says:

YOWZER!! Avatard! that’s some stinging rebuttal you have there.

How about “stop whining about how the Soviet Union was communist.” That’s another good one.

  45. Doug says:

Just stopped by for a chat with the autorantic virtual moonbat and asked her this: “Does America deserve universal healthcare?” Her response was this:

On the topic of “HEALTHCARE”: I hate you!!!!

  49. 762x51 says:

This douchebag thinks that living here in the ’60s and ’70s compares to today? Surprised he could get all of that out as Ireland circles the bowl. Ireland needs to wipe before it flushes.

Nothing but a dick with ears, admittedly a short dick, but a dick none the less.

  50. anothercommie says:

As a German who has had his fair share relationships with people from other countries, I want to say something, hoping that this might actually go get through to at least some of you: This is not a crazy person. What is saying isn’t just the majority opinion in Ireland, or Europe, or all the oh-so-evil socialists states you are all so afraid about, it’s the majority opinion all over the world. From Rio to Tokio and from Sidney to Dublin people are laughing at you and believe that the only difference between you people and the taliban is a boom.

You are 20% of one country, you are soon to be history. And you will looked upon as just another belch in the history of a great country.

    An actual socialist.
