It’s Free, Swipe Your EBT

Now for an R-rated public service announcement on how to flourish under Obamunism, at least until our socialist rulers run out of other people’s money:

EBT = Electronic Benefits Transfer = free money from the nearly bankrupt federal government. The cards are more convenient than food stamps, and available in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands, Guam, and of course Puerto Rico.

Fundamental truth- you can take lowlife out of the third world.. but you can’t take the third world out of the lowlife.

This kind of thing makes me ill! My husband works up to 70 hours a week and spends up to a month at a time away from me and our two kids working to keep us afloat. As a truck driver he is at the mercy of the economy and fuel prices and a couple of years ago loads not very plentiful and we had to really economize. Unfortunately that meant making about 40 dollars a week stretch for groceries as well as very expensive baby formula (my daughter was an infant). This often meant buying formula first and getting ramen noodles and other cheap and crummy food for myself. It was disgusting to see obvious illegals and people with designer bags and clothes, cell phones and hands full of gold jewelry with one and sometimes two huge carts full of food that I could only dream about. After one such frustrating shopping trip I drove home in tears. I finally got disgusted and applied for WIC so that my formula would at least be covered. It was humiliating and embarassing to have to present the vouchers and the looks I sometimes got from other shoppers often made me look aside in shame. After looking at the qualifications for EBT and other benefits I do not see how someone who was not on the verge of homelessness could possibly qualify- let alone people I see with late model cars and other amenities.

I enjoy paying a few hundred per week at daycare while most of the moms cruise out on Fridays without stopping at the window. There’s never a line to pay.

Imagine for a moment that your husband was instead your boyfriend and he wasn’t listed anywhere on the paperwork (as would be the case for the typical welfare queen) – then the numbers would all work out.

Your family was penalized for marriage. The Federal welfare plantation prefers its occupants be married to the monthly check.

Perhaps the solution is — instead of this perplexed indignation you feel as a working taxpayer — to simply get on the dole ourselves. This ship-of-state *is* going to hit the iceberg, there’s no longer any doubt of that whatsoever, so let’s help kill the Leviathan by joining the looters and bleeding it dry. The time for principled, quixotic fighting is over. Hasten the beast’s death.

Also imagine for yourself if assets such as your car and home were exempted when qualifying ?
No matter what their value is.

@Forest- That is why I don’t work. It would actually cost me more to get a job outside the home than it would for me to stay home with my kids. For an infant day care is roughly 500-600 a month and for preschoolers it is still 250-300 a month and we don’t qualify for assistance. I honestly don’t know how anyone who was not working in some sort of professional capacity could afford to keep their kids in daycare without assistance.

I have less of a problem with WIC since they have a higher income qualification and do not penalize for things like home ownership, marriage or vehicle value. As far as chucking everything and getting on benefits yourself forget it. I hate to say this but if you are White and try to do it by the book you will either not qualify or you will be scrutinized to the point where you will not find it worth it. Most of the people working at welfare offices will also be minorities and they often have a vested interest in keeping Whites from receiving any government help. Benefits are reparations that keep the receipients almost as much enslaved as they were on the old plantations. It is time to either severely restrict or get rid of these benefits all together. I worked at a grocery store and it was limited in what you could purchase with food stamps. You could only imagine the screetching and screaming when an item was denied! Now restaurants take these cards?!

  16. MissAnthropy says:

You’re not going to get rid of these benefits. Mathematical reality will be the only thing that can do that. In the meantime, the parasite class — which is now at political parity with the producer class — will prevent any attempt to take their freebies.

Anyone who gets up and goes to work every day in this country is a sucker. The current arrangement does nothing more than to make cuckolds out of anyone who works and is a net contributor to the treasury. The only way out of it is to stop enabling it and become a burden on it yourself.
