Jimmy Kimmel Versus Our Constitutional Rights

There may be no more menacing threat to liberty than shallow fools like Jimmy Kimmel, who relies on cheap emotional tactics to sell authoritarianism to glassy-eyed nitwits. Characteristically, he leapt at the chance to exploit the Las Vegas Massacre to advance his agenda, shamelessly blaming the bloodshed on Republicans:

“They should be praying for God to forgive them for letting the gun lobby run this country because it’s so crazy,” the emotional Kimmel exclaimed to his audience.

Kimmel asserted that we could prevent evil people from doing evil things with guns, but we choose not to.

Kimmel claimed that the U.S. freaks out when “someone with a beard attacks us,” but doesn’t want to deal with mass shooting. “And Second Amendment, I guess our forefathers wanted us to have AK-47s is the argument I assume,” he joked. But what went over the funny man’s head, was the historical fact that our forefathers wanted us to be well armed to protect ourselves from a totalitarian government.

One of his first lies was that semi-automatic rifles were “not weapons you use for self-defense.” He was either being disingenuous or don’t know what he’s talking about, because many owners of such rifles use them for home defense, along with sporting activities.

For example, AR-15s are ideal home defense weapons for women, having little recoil and holding enough rounds that those who don’t spend much time at the range can afford to miss a few times.

Kimmel went on to recite various lies that have been debunked and demanded restrictions on our constitutional rights that would have done nothing to prevent the massacre.

Like much of his audience, Kimmel might be enough of a dope to believe that Stephen Paddock would have been significantly inhibited by nuisance laws that serve only to harass law-abiding gun owners. Smug idiots honestly believe they are on the side of the angels.

But the people driving the agenda could not be that stupid. Paddock almost certainly broke gun laws as it is. More restrictive laws would no more have stopped him than they stopped the Islamic terrorists who used illegal guns to shoot up the Bataclan in Paris, where the fundamental right to bear arms is ignored.

This is not about preventing mass shootings. It is about exploiting mass shootings to push us toward a position where the government does the mass shooting because the citizenry is completely at its mercy.

Where useful idiots help guide the herd.

I agree with this but will add a caveat. A round fired from an AR-15 *CAN* have the kinetic energy to go through multiple walls. A better semi automatic option may be a “Pistol Caliber Carbine” which is built on an AR-15 frame but uses 9mm or 45 caliber rounds. An attacker with a PCC pointed at him (her) isn’t going to know what caliber the round is on sight, and if one was using hollow point ammunition, they’ll be just as dead.

Joking aside, lets deal with his idiocy.

Kimmel claimed that the U.S. freaks out when “someone with a beard attacks us,” but doesn’t want to deal with mass shooting.

ahem…Jimmah… Stephen had a beard… Omar the Orlando Jihadi, on the other hand, did not. You seem to be exactly wrong.

And Second Amendment, I guess our forefathers wanted us to have AK-47s is the argument I assume

Well I guess then our forefathers didn’t want us to have some know-nothing moron blubbering on TV. There was no TV back then. So no 1st Amendment for you by your own “logic”.

The FBI had apparently 23 chances to look at the shooter and decide if he should be able to buy a gun or not.

Was the FBI simply too busy looking at Trump’s connections with Russia?

Or maybe they were busy reading Hillary’s deleted emails.

  4. MAS says:

For useful idiots like Kimmel it’s a pie in the sky carrot on a stick, “If only guns didn’t exist blablabla”. For their puppet masters it’s a means to a bloody end for those who don’t fall in line.

  5. MAS says:

For home defense she shotgun is the safest choice when considering over penetration. Depending on the shot and load of course, #7 shot is nasty in home defense distances and looses velocity quickly in drywall.

Kimmel’s just another libtard puppet spouting what he’s being paid to spout. The best way to handle him and other “comedians” like Samantha Bee, Jon Stewart, Steven Colbert, et al is ignore them. No Jimmy, we’re not allowed to “freak out” when “someone with a beard attacks us” because you liberals circle the wagons around the bearded ones and remind us over and over not to demonize a whole group of people because of one “lone wolf.”

  28. Torcer says:

Remember these numbers: 120 Million Gun Owners and 600 Million guns.
    120 Million Gun Owners
A recent poll by Wall Street Journal has only confirmed what we’ve known all along, that gun ownership is expanding at an incredible rate. While the folks who avail themselves armed protection have tried to disdain this for the ‘commoners’, the people have instead stocked up on firearms, ammunition and other supplies. Anyone who has compared the crowds at gun shows at present with only a few months ago can attest to this phenomena.

QF10 Do you, or does anyone in your household, own a gun of any kind?
    9/17 6/16+ 10/15 2/13
    Yes, gun in household 48 45 41 42
    No, no gun in household 50 50 54 54

The question was one of the last in the survey and asked ‘for statistical purposes only’, but it puts the lie to the gun grabber narrative of declining gun ownership. This falsehood made no sense given recent events and trends. People generally want to be able to protect themselves from Islamic Terrorism, and don’t trust the gun grabbers with their next incremental abrogation of everyone’s common sense civil rights. The people know that as is typical of the national Socialist Left, they are never honest about their true intentions and their ultimate goals. The gun grabbers will never openly admit that the obvious end game to their incessant attacks against the people’s common sense civil rights is to extinguish them in their entirety. Thus more and more people are following the advice of ‘getting your guns while you still can’. As well as having a few ‘extra’ for emergencies.
Keep in mind that many people won’t actually divulge their gun ownership to some random person chatting them up on the phone, so it’s most likely that that number is a bit low.

The Washington Free Beacon ran the numbers from the United States Census Bureau and determined that there are (at least) 120 Million Gun Owners:

The United States Census Bureau estimates there are 249,454,440 adults currently living in America. If the Wall Street Journal/NBC News survey is accurate, that equates to 119,738,131 Americans with a gun in their home.

The odds are that those numbers are a bit low given the reticence of people to divulge this information, but it’s a good starting point.
    600 Million guns
The gun grabbers also like to play the game of disinformation with regard to the number of firearms in circulation. The number commonly bandied about is 300 Million or expressed in terms of one gun for every man, woman and child in the nation or some variation thereof. The problem is that this factoid has remained unchanged through many years of tribulation. Recently the weaponsman took a hard look at the issue and ran the numbers:

We believe that the correct number is much higher — somewhere between 412 and 660 million. You may wonder how we came to that number, so buckle up (and cringe, if you’re a math-phobe, although it never gets too theoretical): unlike most of the academics and reporters we linked above, we’re going to use publicly available data, and show our work.

What if we told you that one ATF computer system logged, by serial number, 252,000,000 unique firearms, and represented only those firearms manufactured, imported or sold by a relatively small number of the nation’s tens of thousands of Federal Firearms Licensees?

One other way of looking at this would be to compare this to the recent polling data. If 48% or 120 Million people now have a gun in the house, how can it be that the 300 Million factoid remains the same?

As in every other endeavour, the national Socialist Left has to lie about their agenda and intentions. Their attempts at reaching their ultimate goal of confiscation are not different. They want people to believe that people are agreeing with them on the issue of ‘gun safety’. That one’s best means of protection is one not having a means of protection. That the buying back of something they never owned is somehow decreasing the number of guns and gun owners.

These are clearly lies of the part of the national Socialist Left, but that has never stopped them before.

So whenever the subject guns crops up, keep these facts in mind.
