LAPD Does Its Part to Save the Planet

From the perspective of liberalism, global warming is much more of a threat to public safety than undocumented wealth redistributors. With the help of taxpayers, the Los Angeles Police Department has stepped up to face that threat by purchasing a fleet of 100 electric BMWs. An investigative team followed the cars to see how they are employed:

One BMW went straight to a Yoshinoya drive-thru and returned to a police station, CBS reported. Another headed for Loyola Marymount University and picked up someone for a lunch date, and a third deployed to a nail salon for an hour-long manicure.

At least they are getting some use out of the pricey moonbatmobiles — although not very much:

Mileage logs obtained by CBS News revealed that many of the cars were underused, posting only a few thousand miles in a fourteen-month period. One of the cars had only 400 miles in that approximate timeframe, according to CBS.

The eco-toys aren’t much use for policing, because they can’t go very far on a charge. But they make clear the city’s righteous commitment to moonbattery.

As for how much this farcical gesture cost taxpayers:

The total cost of the three-year lease for the vehicles: approximately $1.4 million, plus another $1.5 million for the infrastructure to support the department’s growing stable of electric vehicles, according to the Los Angeles Times.

That’s a drop in the bucket. Los Angeles is about $20 billion in debt.

Somebody (a politician’s brother-in-law, perhaps) sold LA a bill of goods. Electric plug in vehicles aren’t ecologically pure. They need to get electricity from dirty, environment destroying generating stations. Fortunately, there’s here’s still hope for LA to save the planet!

Just like every other Dem run – um, you know – like the word DJT used.

These people would literally give away your country to foreigners so that they can retain power, condemning your descendants to lives of being third-rate people in what was once their own country.
They should be fearful of hanging from lamp-posts.
