Lawfare Attack on American System
If this stands, America is over:
Judge Arthur Engoron fined former Donald Trump and the Trump Organization on Friday in civil a fraud case for more than $350 million and barred him from serving as an officer or director of any New York corporation for three years.
New York Attorney General Letitia James sought to essentially bankrupt Trump by calling for a $370 million fine and a lifetime of from the real estate industry in New York State. James claimed Trump committed financial fraud.
The accusation is without merit, as most everyone is aware. Even moonbats know that Trump’s persecution by leftist apparatchiks like Letitia James and the visibly liberal Engoron is 100% political.
Under the tyranny that is unfolding, any conspicuous challenger to the liberal establishment will be crushed by absurd lawsuits staged in leftist cesspools like New York and the District of Corruption, thereby imposing single party rule.
Constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley called the ruling “confiscatory, extreme, and abusive.”
The judgment is the second this year in which Trump was found guilty and required to millions. In writer E. Jean Carroll’s defamation case against him, the judge orderedTrump to pay $83.3 million.
You don’t have to be the leader of the opposition party and favored to win the next presidential election to get kneecapped through lawfare. Mark Steyn was recently ordered by a DC jury to pay $1 million for agreeing that climate swindler Michael Mann is a fraud.
Props to Donald Trump for his squeaky clean record. You would think someone who made $millions in NYC real estate would have some shady dealings somewhere in his past. But the entire liberal establishment has been able to find nothing, so partisan piranhas are reduced to persecuting him over absurdities.
It is not enough for this nakedly tyrannical ruling to be overturned. Engoron must be disbarred and James removed from office for flagrant abuse of power. Otherwise, Democrats will continue to push this envelope. It’s not as if shame or decency will stop them.
