Lesson Not Learned From Diversity Bridge

Remember Diversity Bridge, which collapsed at Florida International University in March 2018, killing six people? No doubt there are women including Women of Color who could build a bridge that doesn’t collapse, but as noted at Taki’s Magazine at the time,

[T]hese days we live in a world in which “diversity” is the goal, rather than competence.

Irrational priorities are bound to have consequences.

As also noted at Taki’s Magazine,

[I]n the months prior to the bridge collapse, FIU was awarded millions of federal dollars to “diversify” its STEM classes.

Have we learned anything from the lethal collapse of Diversity Bridge? Not at the University of Technology Sydney:

A culture that rejects merit in favor of political correctness can expect to fail in every possible way.
