Liberal Incivility Update

Liberal incivility is spiraling out of control.

They say great minds think alike. Third-rate minds also think alike. For example, Trevor Noah “jokes” that restaurant workers ought to ejaculate onto Republicans’ food. Has-been actor Ron Perlman thinks along similar lines:

Note the double virtue signaling. Not only is Ron Perlman a good person because he wants people to urinate on the President’s food, he also hates Harvey Weinstein. Hollyweird kowtowed to Weinstein until recently, but now that he is down, it is safe to demonstrate your bravery by kicking him.

Like Weinstein and many others in Tinseltown, Ron Perlman is a conspicuously disgusting human being, but his tweet is almost civil by recent standards of liberal behavior.

In the absence of decency, laying siege to the homes of high-profile Republicans is becoming common. After DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, in front of whose home progressives shrieked, “No justice, no sleep,” comes advisor Stephen Miller:

A group of chanting protesters gathered outside White House adviser Stephen Miller’s Washington D.C. apartment on Monday.

But before the chanting really picked up, the crowd circulated “Wanted” flyers expressing the contention that Miller is guilty of “crimes against humanity,” among other things.

Behold the current level of political discourse:

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his wife, Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao, are among those who have been targeted for the physical intimidation tactics encouraged by congresscritter Maxine Waters. They were harassed by ProPublica moonbats as they left dinner at Georgetown University. Kudos to Elaine Chao for confronting the thugs:

Liberals have exploited the tired “think of the children” tactic with their contrived outrage over kids being separated from foreigners who violate the law by sneaking into our country. This story from Florida demonstrates the level of sincerity of their concern for children:

A Stuart man is behind bars, accused of threatening to kill U.S. Rep. Brian Mast’s children in response to current immigration policies.

Laurence Wayne Key is facing federal charges under the offense of “communication of a threat to kidnap or injure a person.”

A criminal complaint shows Key is accused of calling Mast’s Washington, D.C. office Monday, and telling an intern who answered the phone, “I’m going to find the Congressman’s kids and kill them. If you’re going to separate kids at the border, I’m going to kill his kids. Don’t try to find me because you won’t.’

The Attorney General can’t even visit Los Angeles without liberals virtually rioting:

L.A. visit by U.S. Atty. Gen. Jeff Sessions sparks downtown protest, arrests

Atty. Gen. Jeff Sessions on Tuesday dismissed critics of the Trump administration’s immigration policies as open-borders advocates during a speech in downtown Los Angeles that drew hundreds of protesters.

“The rhetoric we hear from the other side on the issue, as on many others, has become radicalized,” Sessions said during a speech to a criminal justice organization. “We hear views on television today that are on the lunatic fringe, frankly.”

Frankly, we are well past the fringe. We are dealing with lunatics, period. They would use force to take control of the asylum.

Progressives openly gloat that violence is the next step:

A writer for the popular progressive news website Splinter is warning supporters of President Trump that if they have a problem with the heckling of administration officials in public places, they haven’t seen anything yet.

“Do you think that being asked to leave a restaurant, or having your meal interrupted, or being called by the public is bad? My fascism-enabling friends, this is only the beginning,” writes Splinter senior writer Hamilton Nolan.

Pointing to history, he writes that the U.S. “had thousands of domestic bombings per year in the early 1970s.”

“This is what happens when citizens decide en masse that their political system is corrupt, racist, and unresponsive,” says Nolan.

If liberal incivility continues to escalate, regular Americans will start pushing back. Rep. Steve King (R-IA) sees civil war looming:

King isn’t the only one worried that liberal radicalism will tear the country apart. According to a recent Rasmussen poll, 31% of likely U.S. voters considerate it likely that there will be a civil war within the next 5 years. Only 29% say it is not at all likely. Fifty-nine percent “are concerned that those opposed to President Trump’s policies will resort to violence.”

Inconsolable that Hillary Clinton lost the election, the liberal media has stacked the tinder high. All it will take now is a match.
