Liberals Object to Pushback Against Iran

Liberals have been clutching their pearls in alarm over the Trump Administration retaliating for the Iranian-orchestrated attack on the American embassy in Baghdad that started New Year’s Eve. AP practically shivers in terror:

The targeted killing of Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s elite Quds Force, could draw forceful Iranian retaliation against American interests in the region and spiral into a far larger conflict between the U.S. and Iran, endangering U.S. troops in Iraq, Syria and beyond.

No one was more of a danger to US troops than Soleimani, an architect of the IED campaign against them in Iraq who continues to orchestrate Iran’s terror war against the USA.

Also, an adviser to Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani warned President Donald Trump of retaliation from Tehran. “Trump through his gamble has dragged the U.S. into the most dangerous situation in the region,” Hessameddin Ashena wrote on the social media app Telegram. “Whoever put his foot beyond the red line should be ready to face its consequences.”

Cowardice and submission also have consequences, as we learned when Iranian terrorists attacked the US embassy in Tehran without consequence, holding Americans hostage for 444 days as the useless Jimmy Carter dithered, until the blessed day Ronald Reagan took office, January 20, 1981. The catastrophic lack of a decisive response set in motion a revival of Islamic aggression that included September 11, as well as the recent embassy attack in Baghdad.

Treason has consequences too. As Daniel Greenfield notes, the proxy war Iran is waging against the USA in Iraq is largely funded by money handed over to the regime by Barack Obama.

Lest anyone forget, Barack Obama bypassed Congress to hand the terrorists running Iran $1.7 billion, entirely in cash, using non-US currency so as to bypass sanctions. The payment was of questionable legality.

It is possible that Obama gave them much more, in addition to allowing their proxy Hezbollah to raise funds by smuggling illegal drugs into the USA. That is why we have impeachment; it is not so that Democrats can exploit it as an election tactic, but so that a rogue president who sides with our worst enemy against us could be removed from office and tried for treason.

Iran has been America’s most aggressive enemy ever since the 1979 embassy attack. Yet Obama is not its only ally in the USA, even if they are only allies of convenience.

At MSNBC, the witless Joy Reid tried to spin the Baghdad embassy attack as “Trump’s Benghazi.” It is the opposite of Benghazi, having evoked a prompt and decisive response. In stark contrast, Obama jetted off to Las Vegas for a fundraiser rather than lift a finger to protect American lives, then sent out flunkies like Susan Rice to tell absurd and shameful lies afterward, blaming an American-made anti-Islam video for the attack.

Hollyweird has also weighted in. #MeToo maven Rose McGowan apologized to our terrorist enemies for the pushback:

If there were justice, Rose would promptly be made a resident of Iran via airdrop.

Alternatively, Ms McGowan could serve as National Security Advisor in a Joe Biden administration:

Biden said Thursday night that the Trump administration’s airstrike against one of Iran’s top military lieutenants was a rash action that could potentially backfire on the U.S.

President Donald Trump “just tossed a stick of dynamite into a tinderbox,” Biden said in a statement after reports confirmed a U.S. drone strike killed Gen. Qasem Soleimani.

Elizabeth Warren unsurprisingly agrees that putting an end to Soleimani’s terrorist activities was a “reckless move.”

We tried letting Iran bully us, most shamefully under Carter and Obama. It didn’t work. But if Democrats gave up on approaches that don’t work, they would stop trying to incrementally impose socialism.

Unlike American liberals, Iraqis have been celebrating Soleimani’s death, as it is a setback for Iranian domination of the region:
