Majority of Americans Feel Alienated by What Is Presented to Them as Their Country

Looks like diversity is working:

According to the Reuters survey, 58 percent Americans say they “don’t identify with what America has become.” While Republicans and Independents are the most likely to agree with this statement, even 45 percent of Democrats share this feeling.

More than half of Americans, 53 percent, say they “feel like a stranger” in their own country. A minority of Americans feel “comfortable as myself” in the country.

This is not a bug or even a feature of the politically correct ideology of our ruling class; it is the purpose. To establish the degree of tyranny required to achieve utopia, any meaningful notion of community must be destroyed. The exceptions are outlier communities (blacks, homosexuals, Muslims, etc.) that can be deployed against the core population according to cultural Marxist strategy. Regular Americans must become atomized so that each of us feels alone in being horrified and disgusted at what liberals are turning our country into; otherwise, people would never go along with what they see when they turn on their television sets.

Some of these people live in areas that have had one group for better than a century.

Just because some guy who’s a little different moves in down the block doesn’t mean it’s all gone.

(I grew up in an Irish-Sicilian neighborhood with a few Scots burrs and French accents tossed in; and, yeah, there were black people 2 blocks over)

I doubt that. I suppose I can only speak with authority for myself and those close to me, but this has absolutely nothing to do with the color of the skin of the people around us, or if they speak with accents. I grew up with a very diverse set of people, but they all held American values.

This has to do with the horror and disbelief of hearing fundamentally American values (e.g., freedom of speech, freedom of religion, right to bear arms, right to due process) under such constant and vehement attack, not only by fringe radicals (there have always been those), but by the media, academia, and our own government. This, and government assuming more and more power specifically forbidden them according to US law. And, instead of stopping them, the courts have been some of the worst offenders.

I’m starting to loose count of the unconstitutional, frankly authoritarian government actions that, 15 years ago, I would swear could never happen here.

I’m starting to loose count of the unconstitutional, frankly authoritarian government actions that, 15 years ago, I would swear could never happen here. Part of that was that I was more naive back then. Overreach is nothing new, of course. But I am firmly convinced it has greatly accelerated over the last 10 years or so.

  11. The media promoted this image as well and this perception of America being financially broke, overbearing to the world, and uncaring to the minorities. They relentlessly hammered this false message into the minds of many until it was accepted as the truth and opened the door for their idea of change.

They should just make the Obaman People’s Republic the new official name of the country because the USA died when The Genius Leader Of All Mankind first sat his bony ass on the throne. He has truly created a nation for HIS people- all those once known as freaks, weirdos, criminals, traitors, terrorists, racists, race baiters, heterophobes, professional whiners and moochers but are now classified as great people in the name of diversity. It’s been a complete embarrassment to be a “citizen” of this alien land knowing what it once was-I feel like a stranger in a very strange land to the point of thinking of going into exile sometime in the future.

We’re talking the demographic that can trash a AK without even trying, or make it jam almost every time they use it. Now try them on a more complicated, higher maintenance, and more ammo-sensitive weapon, and watch the friendly-fire and self-inflicted casualties go through the roof.

And remember, the Homeland Security .40 subguns will be built by the crony-selected low bidder!

Yeah, my .308 carbine has a performance envelope of a little over 600m. I can place consistent center mass hits on human targets at that range. At 500m, it will shoot through a cinder block wall and kill the man standing behind it. I’m afraid it’s going to be a long walk from 600m to the maximum effective range of a .40 S&W SMG. God help them if I have the sniper rifle on me. I could have changed the outcome of the Alamo with that thing.

I’m convinced, in a couple of parallel universes, Davey Crockett did exactly that!

Was drooling over another military caliber, .45-70, in Wal-Mart today. There were 1,000 yard verified kills from the last of the Indian fighting days with that big, slow slug, but that was with the slide-type rear sights. I seem to remember even longer shots with the .50-70 Sharps–probably with those rear-mounted small-aperture peep sights you see on so many old rifles. How much of that was luck under still wind conditions and how much was good eyes, I can’t say.

My issue is cost; I’ve had trouble getting a sight picture with AR-platform sights, plus the decent ones cost about ten Franklins. I’m not sure I trust the plastic receivers, either. But I know that old Custer cartridge in a modern lever gun will knock a bull elk arse over teakettle. I imagine it would open a Homeland Security goon’s mind, helmet or none.

With you 100%. The Mexicans with whom I went to school and knew growing up were legal immigrants (or, rather, children of legal immigrants). They were here for a reason and happy to be here. They would never object to people flying the American flag. Never cheer for a Mexican sports team against an American one. They identified with Mexican culture and heritage, but they weren’t out preaching that the southwest properly belongs to Mexico like La Raza. They wouldn’t be celebrating terrorist attacks on the US like some Muslims in New Jersey. When it can down to it, they would gather to defend the USA, just like anyone else, because they WERE Americans just like everyone else.

But now, so many immigrants are not coming here to be American, and the schools don’t try to teach them what it means. Of course, the schools are also teaching the people born here to be anti-American, so no surprise there.

Check SSK Industries. They make a .45-70 single shot pistol. Mine is about 30 years old and is based on the TC Contender though today they make them with the stronger TC Encore frames. You can also get them in Sharps calibers up to .50-90 the last time I checked but you’re gonna want to wear your big boys when you plan to shoot that caliber. I’m not suggesting you can get 1,000yds out of a 14″ barrel pistol, but they will kill any game animal on this continent and are a kick in the ass to shoot. Plus I would not want to take a hit on my plates from that thing.

For all the hype about “assault weapons” in the Moron Stinking Media, I can take a 100 year old cartridge designed for a single shot carbine and, using special bullets make it defeat any body armor made from a pistol or lever gun.

That new version of the Marlin 1895 looks sweet. I had one years ago, loved that gun, great saddle gun for black bear or brush buster for hogs. If you really want to see a sick rig though check the .45-70 Whisper here: http://sskindustries.com/45-70-whisper-2/

A suppressed .45-70 Marlin 1895 firing a 465gr controlled fracturing brass slug. I guarantee you that cost will be an issue with that rig.

Also, those old mixed communities occurred in a natural way. Immigrants looking for refuge and opportunity made their way to different communities. Then followed the struggle as the community and they made their impressions back and forth. Thus, out of that emerged a naturally mixed community.

Heck, when I first left my hometown, I was so surprised that my first new location was not heavily Armenian and Italian. I thought that was the makeup of the land because that was the town I grew up in.

The difference now is first of all, the government is placing theses people, rather than the people following opportunity. Heck, I read that it is in collaboration with the UN that the admin chooses the little communities to swamp with refugees.

And the second difference, this has been mentioned by others in these comments, the refugees values and desire to become American just not the right fit to contribute to the health of American communities.

Thanks to Barry Soetoro and his administration freakshow including the upper eschelon at the Pentagon that has lost it’s back bone.

Yes, with a bore diameter over .50 it is Class III. They also make a wildcat round and rifle called the Anzio 20/50. It is a 20mm Vulcan canon round necked down to .50 so it is not an NFA weapon. Below is the round between a .50BMG and the standard 20mm Vulcan. It launches a 750gr projectile at 3600fps delivering 21,579 foot pounds of energy to the target. Combined with the brass controlled fracturing bullet pictured, it will penetrate most barriers and then deliver almost all of that energy to the “wet” target.

By the way, here is a video of those controlled fracturing bullets from a .45-70 at 2,000fps. That is the round that started this conversation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=HR7nTS6NMCI

Impressive! And did you say these brass monsters are available in .40 as well?

Sorry for the delayed reply. I don’t know if you will see this or not but, yes, they area available in.40. Made of copper though as using a brass slug in a handgun is illegal under ATF regulations.

Thanks! I’m also looking at a hollow pointing tool to convert my .40 FMJs into JHPs. I wonder if ATF knows that beryllium copper is pretty tough stuff, and might make a good slug? How about bronze?
