Maldives Gives Lie to Global Warming Hoax

It would be easier to believe climate alarmists if their predictions ever came true, or if people would stop investing large amounts of money in a way that demonstrates these predictions are not worth taking seriously. An example is the Maldives, a country that is supposed to be underwater by now due to the sea rising because of global warming.

From Daily Caller last year:

In September 1988, the Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported a “gradual rise in average sea level is threatening to completely cover this Indian Ocean nation of 1196 small islands within the next 30 years,” based on predictions made by government officials. …

The Maldives are among the island nations often held up by United Nations officials as being on the “front-lines” of man-made global warming. The island nation was among the first to apply for Green Climate Fund aid…

Have the seas started rising yet? No, and people with a stake in the matter do not expect them to. From the Maldives Insider, earlier this year:

Five new airports will come into operation by the end of the year, Maldives government announced…

One is an international airport in Maafaru, funded by the United Arab Emirates.

The international airport is part of a joint Maldives-UAE project to develop Noonu atoll as an ultra-luxury tourism zone.

Why are people investing fortunes in tourist facilities that according to liberal dogma will soon be underwater? Because they are so sure that this dogma is humbug that they are willing to put money on it.

The same is true of Barack Obama, who recently dropped a fortune on a seaside mansion in Martha’s Vineyard — although in his case it could be because he believes he slowed the rising of the oceans, per his campaign promise.
