MSNBC’s Katy Tur: Why Honor Constitution Now That We Are More Progressive?

Should America remain a constitutional republic, or should we disable the Constitution by pretending it says whatever the party in charge wants it to say at any given time? MSNBC’s Katy Tur (former companion of Keith Olbermann) gives us her answer:

“Based on where Americans stand on the issues, and Americans have really moved in a much more progressive direction over the years, do you think it’s appropriate to continue to take such a strict, originalist view of the Constitution, given it’s 2018 and not 1776?” Tur asked Republican guest and Hillbilly Elegy author J.D. Vance.

She works for NBC News. You can’t expect her to be well informed enough to know about the amendment process.

If Katy Tur et al. get their way, we will get so many tyrannical Roe v. Wade and Obergefell v. Hodges type decisions that have nothing to do with the Constitution and everything to do with imposing a leftist social agenda by legislating from the bench that eventually the charade of pretending to have a Constitution and an elected legislature will be dispensed with.

On a tip from TCS III.
