New York Times Admits to Outrageous Lie After Scalise Shooting

Even by New York Times standards, this lie is outrageous:

The piece was in response to the shootings in Alexandria that were clearly motivated by the political views of James Hodgkinson, an avid Bernie Sanders supporter. The attack took place amid a cacophony of liberal voices explicitly (e.g., here, here, here) and slightly less explicitly (e.g., here, here) calling for violence against Republicans.

In stark contrast, Jared Loughner had no discernable motive in the Gabby Giffords attack. Loughner suffers from severe schizophrenia; there is no coherence to his reasoning, and no reason to blame Republicans for his behavior.

Go back to the NY Times piece now and you will find that the egregious excerpt above has disappeared down the Memory Hole. At least the Slimes came close to acknowledging that it willfully and maliciously lied, down at the very bottom:

An earlier version of this editorial incorrectly stated that a link existed between political incitement and the 2011 shooting of Representative Gabby Giffords. In fact, no such link was established.

Believed me, they looked. There was no link whatsoever.

Nice of them to more or less fess up (after outrage ensued), but the damage is done. Not many people are going to go back and read yesterday’s editorial.

On tips from Torcer, The LIEberal Media, and Stormfax.

Today The Nation’s Socialist Left Should Be Asking Themselves: “Are we the baddies?”
We begin with a humorous video from Mitchell and Webb:

Perhaps our Comrades on the Left should take this as a humorous inspiration in their self examination and perhaps they should be asking this question of themselves. Consider how they’ve conducted themselves over the past few months. They and their base ideology have been losing for years now and yet they still think of themselves as being on the ‘right side of history’.

Their mindset of having a birthright to power is palpable at times in their words, deeds and actions.

They truly think that their way is ‘progress’ and anything short of that is a travesty of justice (Socialist and otherwise). History is not allowed to reject the siren song of the left and it’s collective ideology. It’s only when the nation moves toward the Socialist left that all is well and good in the universe, anything else is ‘reactionary’ and verboten.
They cheer on the use of violence against their political opponents, and fail to see the irony in truly acting like the Fascist-left of the past while maintaining the self description of being “Antifa”.
To them, the ends justifies the means and if those involve weaponry, their only complaint is whether or not the shooter’s aim was true.

  4. […] noted previously, even the execrable New York Times admitted that they lied when they attempted to link Republicans […]

Love the irony of that sign being held by the little fascists who believe that labeling themselves as anti-fascists will mask their true nature. Considering that, I find the content of their sign exemplifies their self-deluded ignorance.

Splendid! You may now commit suicide by the individual means of your choice.
