NY Times Admits to Changing Sexual Assault Story at Request of Biden Campaign

The New York Times, flagship publication of the establishment media, is a propaganda tool of the Democrat Party. It barely pretends to be anything more. A top editor has admitted that a belated report on an alleged sexual assault by Joe Biden was changed at the request of the Biden campaign.

Via the Blaze:

Executive editor Dean Baquet made the admission in an interview with Ben Smith, also of the New York Times.

“I want to ask about some edits that were made after publication, the deletion of the second half of the sentence: ‘The Times found no pattern of sexual misconduct by Mr. Biden, beyond the hugs, kisses and touching that women previously said made them uncomfortable.’ Why did you do that?” Smith asked.

“Even though a lot of us, including me, had looked at it before the story went into the paper, I think that the campaign thought that the phrasing was awkward and made it look like there were other instances in which he had been accused of sexual misconduct,” said Baquet.

There are other instances in which Biden has been accused of sexual misconduct.

At least, after sitting on them for weeks, the NY Times finally got around to acknowledging Tara Reade’s credible allegations.

Try to imagine the NY Times sticking part of a story down the memory hole on a request from the Trump campaign.

Baquet explains why his paper was more eager to report the outlandish allegations of the far from credible Christine Blasey Ford:

“Kavanaugh was already in a public forum in a large way. Kavanaugh’s status as a Supreme Court justice was in question because of a very serious allegation. And when I say in a public way, I don’t mean in the public way of Tara Reade’s. If you ask the average person in America, they didn’t know about the Tara Reade case,” said Baquet.

That’s because liberal media gatekeepers have suppressed the story. Logicians couldn’t find a better example of circular logic. We spiked the story because no one knows about Tara Reade because we spiked the story.

Even Tinseltown bubblehead Alyssa Milano did a less laughable job of explaining away the Biden vs Kavanaugh Believe All Women hypocrisy.

Krystal Ball has a history of moonbattery. But she is appalled at what now passes for journalism at the NY Times:
