Obama: Freeing Top Terrorists for Deserter Was a Unanimous Decision of My Personal Government

Just how arrogant is the lightweight anti-American leftist whom the liberal ruling class made President on an Affirmative Action basis? The last sentence of this clip makes it clear:

In case you couldn’t believe your ears, here in plain text is what Obama has to say about unilaterally and illegally turning lose five Taliban commanders so that they can continue their terror war against America — a war that has included providing a base from which al Qaeda launched the attacks of 9/11:

“I make no apologies for it. It was a unanimous decision among my principals in my government.”

His government.

Incidentally, Bowe Bergdahl did not wear an American uniform in any meaningful sense. He deserted, with the probable intention of joining the enemy, with whom he actively collaborated. It is still not known how many American soldiers are dead because of his actions.

Freeing five top terrorist commanders for a worthless rat who won’t even face justice was not just a very bad deal: it was treason.

We do not have the luxury of waiting 2 years to get Obama out of there. Impeachment proceedings must get underway before he can cause further major damage.

Translation: “In MY government, I have decided that anti-American deserters are priority number one if they are Moslem. They give me a big boost with my actual constituents, peace be upon them.”

(If Sgt. Tahmooressi ever wants to come home, he better start praying to Mecca five times a day. Might want to denounce America for good measure.)

…and I agree 100% with Dave: we have got to get this traitor out of office BUT QUICK. It’ll be a near impossible task, esp. since even Fox News and pseudo-conservatives like Hugh Hewitt are saying “Well, we CAN’T start impeachment proceedings. Look how awful it was with Clinton. Can you IMAGINE what they (progressives) will do to us over impeaching the first black President? No, we need to get a bi-partisan committee together and…”

Yeah. A committee. A study. A report. Take more time. Reach across the aisle. Make nice. Bi-partisan. McCain. Romney. Jebbie-boy.

    It’s up to us now.

Just piss on everybody and piss in their faces too. A direct spurt, right in the mouth, then either deny that you’re doing it or admit that you’re doing it. Either way, who cares?

Obama is a traitor that needs to be removed. He is clearly becoming so dangerous that he doesn’t care any more. Nobody is stopping him, so why should he care at all?
    GET HIM OUT, FAST!!!!!!

I repeat what I said before he is doing all of this in a very calculated way. 0 is following Hitler’s playbook. He is making the Congress and the Judiciary irrelevant and they are complicit since they have not taken serious immediate action to stop him. They are frittering at it, but not action to squash his past or future actions. They should consider carefully what Hitler did after he gained power. How long will it be before Congress and the Judiciary are dismissed by 0. How long will some members of Congress and the Judiciary live following dismissal. Not long if 0 continues following the playbook.
    Wake up time.
He has made the Congress and the Judiciary irrelevant.
He makes his own laws by EO and changes laws by EO.
He has assumed dictatorial powers and we are still debating if he can be impeached or when he should be impeached.
There has already been a coup.
Too late to talk of impeachment.
    DICTATORS ARE NOT IMPEACHED.
Who knows if he will leave office after the election at the end of his term as president.
Perhaps like Gaius Julius Caesar, he will declare himself Dictator for Life. Perhaps like Caesar he will want the public to recognize him as a (demi) god.

There is a bill in the senate to CHANGE the FIRST AMENDMENT. They say it is just to curtail political donations but the way it is worded it could and will stop all free speech with regards to any political issues.

But of course if we have a dictator what difference does the Constitution make. Not a rhetorical question just a statement.

  23. 308WIN says:

The truth of the matter is yes we can get impeachment proceedings against the big O if the House of Representatives would start the impeachment process. However, the fly in the ointment comes when the Senate tries him. It takes a 2/3 majority in the Senate to find him guilty of the charges brought against him by the House to remove him from office. Currently the Dems control the Senate. Even if the Repubs can win all the senate seats up for grabs in November they would only have 62 seats. That would mean at least 5 Dems would have to roll over on Obama to remove him from office.
Does anyone here actually believe we could get enough Dems to roll over on their Demagogue AKA Liar in Chief?

With Obama, it is the old, “bad news good news ” scenario.

Obama is unimpeachable. With both the Dems and GoP members in both houses of congress owing their allegiance to him, knowing they will lose power if ever they go against him (and possibly their lives), there’s no way of ever getting a 2/3 majority in both houses against the traitor.

There’s still time maybe to prevent them from granting the guy an unlimited 3rd term (say, “to finish the job”, or after creating some national emergency that gives Obama an excuse to void the constitution).

Yep. All this “impeachment” talk is fine, but it won’t ever go anywhere. He has the press 100 percent behind him, and he has sycophants that get so loud and threatening, everyone backs down. “Oh, they called us racist! They said we’ll NEVER get votes because people won’t LIKE us! We better not. We tried it with Clinton and it didn’t work. Let’s hide.”

Makes me sick, but for every Allen West or Ted Cruz, you’ve got a hundred chicken-livered Repubs who may as well be Democrats.

You are right-We can’t give Obama another two years. He has to be impeached or resign now.Get the House procedings going now. Sure th Senate willnot go along but in the meantime Obama will be tied up and now pushing moreof his agenda.I noticed that there was impeachment talkon Titter for ONE Day and then it stopped. People want Obama gone but wont take to the streets to demonstrate. If we had demnstrations in major cities and in front of the White House It would push opur reps to take action. e the people have to do the job in the streets. The last time people demonstrated was 2010 and in shook the pols.

A reminder that impeachment is just one step in the process. The next step is removal from office and that will be the tough part. Remember that slick Willie was impeached but no one had the stones to remove him and he was a suspected serial rapist and white. The minority President might get impeached but removal from office – I wouldn’t bet the farm on it yet.

Quoted from Wikipedia, not the most reliable source but seems to match what I recall:

At the federal level, the impeachment process is a two-step procedure. The House of Representatives must first pass, by a simple majority of those present and voting, articles of impeachment, which constitute the formal allegation or allegations. Upon passage, the defendant has been “impeached”. Next, the Senate tries the accused. In the case of the impeachment of a president, the Chief Justice of the United States presides over the proceedings. For the impeachment of any other official, the Constitution is silent on who shall preside, suggesting that this role falls to the Senate’s usual presiding officer. This may include the impeachment of the vice president, although legal theories suggest that allowing a defendant to be the judge in his own case would be a blatant conflict of interest. If the Vice President did not preside over an impeachment (of anyone besides the President), the duties would fall to the President pro tempore of the Senate.

To convict the accused, a two-thirds majority of the senators present is required. Conviction removes the defendant from office. Following conviction, the Senate may vote to further punish the individual by barring him from holding future federal office, elected or appointed. Conviction by the Senate does not bar criminal prosecution. Even after an accused has left office, it is possible to disqualify the person from future office or from certain emoluments of his prior office (such as a pension). If there is no charge for which a two-thirds majority of the senators present vote “guilty”, the defendant is acquitted and no punishment is imposed.
