Obama Resorting to United Nations to Attack Gun Rights

As we relax after the failure of the gun-grabbing bill in the Senate, America’s enemies are attacking our fundamental freedom by more deviant means — with help from their fellow authoritarian socialists at the United Nations. Comrade Obama will sign the UN’s “Small Arms Treaty” early next month. Forbes has listed a few things this treaty would do to Americans:

1. Enact tougher licensing requirements, creating additional bureaucratic red tape for legal firearms ownership.

2. Confiscate and destroy all “unauthorized” civilian firearms (exempting those owned by our government of course).

3. Ban the trade, sale and private ownership of all semi-automatic weapons (any that have magazines even though they still operate in the same one trigger pull – one single “bang” manner as revolvers, a simple fact the ant-gun media never seem to grasp).

4. Create an international gun registry, clearly setting the stage for full-scale gun confiscation.

5. In short, overriding our national sovereignty, and in the process, providing license for the federal government to assert preemptive powers over state regulatory powers guaranteed by the Tenth Amendment in addition to our Second Amendment rights.

Aligning himself with a hostile power against the USA by signing this clearly unconstitutional treaty would dwarf the many other scandals for which Obama should be removed from office.

There is good news and bad news about this. First, the bad news. The Constitution is explicit about the fact that treaties are supreme – in essence, they negate everything else, so a treaty like this CAN do away with any and all rights.

But the good news is that Obama can sign any treaty he wants, but it won’t matter. The only treaties we are bound by are those that are ratified and only the U.S. Senate can ratify a treaty. Which means we need to make sure to get the D’s out!

  2. F.D.R. in Hell says:

I recommend re-reading the entire FORBES article.

Implementing this bullsh!t Treaty will not end well for America, win or lose. Trust me on this. 👿

  3. Dr. 9 says:

Good point Jeremiah, and one that most people are not aware of.

Under our law, “a ratified treaty has more force in law than a Constitutional amendment”.

  4. ThisObamaNation says:

Obama is a dictator, he cares nothing for the Constitution of the rule of law.

Truly, he will stop at nothing!

What part of the word dictator don’t you understand?

  5. Subject Bon says:

So will the UN go into the inner cities and disarm gangs? This will not end well for the UN and Obama.

  6. Laurie says:

The pussies at the UN are welcome to try to take my guns. It won’t end well for them. Their lifeless bodies will start dropping to the ground at 1,000 yards from me.

Meanwhile, here’s why we need to keep our firearms, (and why Hussein Obama is struggling so hard to take them away):

“We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you”: A crazed Muslim in Britain hacked an unarmed soldier to death with a meat cleaver.

Not in my neighborhood! With more and more crazies running around every day (especially “teens”: http://tinyurl.com/cp2pply), we need our firearms more than ever.

The United Nations totaly stinks its nothing but a bunch of tyrants and despots as well as terrorists supporting nations and they have been tresspassing on america for far too long Its time to totaly dump the Un its the trash heap bulldoze that entire UN facility to the ground and turn the area into a Bird Refuge with Goose Hunting allowed theres far too many reptiles there already

Which brings up a good question: What are we going to do about this? Hussein Obama is dead set on taking our guns, and we’re just going to sit here and complain?

We need someone (or some group) to arrange something like Occupy Wall Street. Occupy got their demands met, so how about if WE run riot through the streets burning cars, defacing buildings, breaking windows, and spraying graffiti? If we start making the Congress critters fear for their beloved voter base, they might actually take us seriously.

Regardless I and many other Americans will not surrender our firearms never, not going to do it, do not care about no stinking UN treaty even if the Senate ratifies it.

  10. Henry says:

“2. Confiscate and destroy all ‘unauthorized’ civilian firearms”

Realize that this will require door-to-door sweeps to find those “unauthorized” firearms, as by their vary nature of being “unauthorized”, they are not on any registration lists.

I see bodies laying in the streets… hopefully, wearing blue helmets.

  11. Conan says:

Here is the bottom line. Any one coming to confiscate your firearms, you shoot to kill. Period. We’ll die as well but THEY will pay as well, i.e., Warsaw Ghetto.

Solzhenitsyn: ““And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?… The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If…if…We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation…. We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

  12. Jester says:

Our Dear Leader is trying one last act of desperation to disarm us before his entire house of cards falls down. Pathetic!

  13. IslandLifer says:

The greatest coup ever is taking place right before our very eyes. I know the law of the land put forth by the founders and I don’t care how many laws these evil thugs pass to change it. What matters most to me is my birthright given to me by God. I will continue to live my life in this once free nation but the minute they try and strip me of my right to protect my life and property is their declaration of war on me. Then I switch my mode from living to survival. Anyone with self worth will do the same and my peace of mind is knowing in the end GOOD will triumph over evil.

  14. GoinSane says:

F**k the UN. Seriously – JUST F**K THE UN! And f**k Obama, too.

I wish somebody would run on exposing the UN for the terrorists and communists they are and promising to expel them all from the US, and then getting the US out of the UN.

  15. Louie says:

F**k the UN. Seriously – JUST F**K THE UN! And f**k Obama, too.

    Times infinity.

  16. Flu-Bird says:

Frankly we should tear up all those worthless UN treaties becuase in reality THEY DONT WANT PEACE they want WORLD GOVERMENT

  17. True Blue says:

    Just try it.
We will not be disarmed; we will not be silenced.
    To quote Winston Churchill;
“We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender…”
Now too bad the UK hasn’t got the guts to do something about the hordes of homicidal invaders in their country.

Overriding the Constitution via the UN and a Democratic Senate could become habit forming for a Marxist President.

  19. Son of Taz says:

I doubt this has any chance of being ratified, because if it did, there would be many vacancies in the Senate and the Demo-commies know it.

Yes, I’m referring to the A word. Most of the gun owners I’ve discussed this with will never comply with a foreign treaty that wipes out our Constitutionally protected rights. People that are proud of their law-abiding ways will turn to utter violence against those that vote to ratify such a treaty. The elected officials that vote for such a POS would be pushin’ up daisies soon after.

    _____________

I have a right to keep and bear arms. That right is an unalienable right given to me by my Creator. The government can choose to defend this right, or they can choose to attempt to infringe this right, but it is still my right, the UN Treaty be damned.

Now, if Dear Leader wishes to argue that this country is so safe than no firearms are needed by law-abiding citizens, my answer is “You first.” Pull the DHS agents away from protecting the IRS building. Disarm your secret service detail. After all, if criminals attacked them, the criminals would likely take the guns away from them and use them against the agents.

But, then again, no one doesn’t like Dear Leader. He has done so much for our country. Personally I love him. He has done so much.

    ______

In 1776, those with red jackets though they could confiscate guns. Red jackets and standing in straight lines was a poor way to conduct a war.

Blue helmets aren’t much wiser than red jackets. I wonder if DHS agents will be wearing blue helmets?

@ All 27 racist azzholes!Screw you, you hateful scumbag! I’m a disgrace for attacking a hateful scumbag like you comparing a not so great, but respectful President to the most evil hateful in ALL of existence. YOU ARE proving my point!

You may not agree with our president’s policies and you may have a First Amendment right to spew your hate-based propaganda on our public streets, but Obama is not a Hitler, and we are not a fascist dictatorship where millions of Americans have been thrown into gas chambers here, and killed, because of their ethnic identity, or their political beliefs.

I support the President because I didn’t want pro big business pro war continuation of Bush, which is what McCain and Romney offered.

Just because Hope and Change were campaign slogans doesn’t mean they were the only reason someone voted for the president, nor does it mean they are the wrong reasons to vote for a candidate.

President Obama is not an evil man, nor a Muslim, nor a Communist, nor a Marxist!

Part of their job is obtaining evidence of wrong doing before acting on something like impeachment.
So far there is no evidence.
the president has not done anything illegal. The investigation into the AP and FOX is legal. like it or not that’s the case. The IRS issue has nothing to do with the president and as hard as the republicans try they can’t pin it on him. I’m not even gonna get into the other fake scandal. no matter how you look at it there are no grounds which you can impeach him.

We heard more of the “OBAMA GUN GRAB!!!” conspiracy BS from Senate Republicans. That would be the NRA stoking up fears that their guns would be taken away by Obama ……… It’s good business for arms manufacturers and the NRA… AND OBAMA HAS TAKEN AWAY NO GUNS.

Let me guess. It’s the same people that said that he wasn’t born here and have lied about his religious beliefs.

  27. M.Wilson says:

Your utter failure to utilize the English language only serves to highlight the intellectual deficiency which is manifest throughout your crazed rant.

You of course completely ignore the hazardous implications of this “treaty”, and the fact that it would invest enormous power in the executive branch of the Federal government to infringe on the right to bear arms. Worse, it contains provisions that would further invest similar power in an unelected international body should the Federal government fail to infringe this right sufficiently for their taste.

There is not a single person in the world who can be trusted with the types of provisions contained in this treaty, yet you expect us to trust Obama with it? How about you ask the Associated Press how far he can be trusted with their phone records, or the Tea Party how far he can be trusted with their tax returns?

The fact of the matter is that the real reason the right of the people to keep and bear arms is not to be infringed, is that no one entity can be trusted to bear arms on their behalf. History shows time and again, that when the power of arms is invested solely in the central government, these arms are inevitably turned against the people they were supposedly protecting.

The most likely thing to have happen in your home if you have a fire arm there is the injury of you or one of your family members. The odds are really bad. Originally, 43 to 1 by Kellerman. So what if it is only 20 to 1. As fearful as you are, still the most likely event is you or yours getting injured. A really bad bet.
