Obama Surpasses Carter on Rising Gas Prices

In the race to achieve the status of America’s worst president, Barack Hussein Obama has left Jimmy Carter choking on his dust:

Obama has hit one more Carter benchmark – both saw gas prices double in their first term of office.

In fact, while just barely, Obama has seen an even higher gas price increase than Carter dealt with under his administration.

Under the Carter administration, gas prices increased by 103.77 percent. Gas prices since Obama took office have risen by 103.79 percent. No other presidents in recent years have struggled as much with soaring oil prices. Under the Reagan administration, gas prices actually dropped 66 percent.

The difference is that Obama has been causing gas prices to rise on purpose, as part of the insane, antihuman green ideology that animates his hard left base. This is why the Keystone XL pipeline was nixed, why drilling is not allowed off most of our coasts, why the BP spill was seized upon as a pretext to strangle the Gulf oil industry, why drilling on government-owned land is down, et cetera.

Obama still hasn’t caught up to FDR, the president who inflicted the most economic damage on the country. But considering that Roosevelt had 12 awful years to work his malice, the Manchurian Moonbat’s performance has been impressive.

On tips from J and Bob Roberts.

From one of his recent propaganda jaunts!

“In this country, we control our own destiny. We control our own resources. We control our own economy. We chart our own course. I don’t want to be subject to the whim of somebody somewhere else. And that’s why we need an all-of-the-above energy strategy. (Applause.)

So we’re going to develop every possible source of American-made energy. Oil and gas, wind power, solar power, biofuels, fuel-efficient cars and trucks that get more miles to the gallon — that’s our future. And the good news is we’re already seeing progress.”

Thanks to lack of pipelines supplying crude to American refiners and EPA reformulations – gasoline will continue to skyrocket no manner how much crude is produced – if they only let us produce our own…

    Energy: Refined out of existence

    By Gregory Meyer
As petrol prices rise and western demand shrinks, refineries are closing across the developed world

Tanking market: US petrol demand has fallen since 2007 amid improved fuel efficiency and the impact of a weaker economy.

Sunoco petrol stations are a fixture of the US eastern seaboard, their blue-and-yellow awnings touting the brand’s status as official fuel of Nascar racing. But after July, none of the petrol they sell will actually be made by Sunoco.

The 126-year-old company’s decision to quit the refining business is the latest sign of the tumult in downstream fuel markets that is accompanying a global shift in oil use. As consumption flags in developed economies and grows in emerging markets, refineries are dying from Japan to Pennsylvania, the Sunoco home state where oil wells drilled in the 1850s begat the petroleum age.

The only reason Carter was elected was because he was not Ford. The only reason Obama got elected was because of his skin color.

I think Hussein is pretty miffed that we haven’t corporately dropped to our knees and begged him to save us from “Big Oil” by now. I doubt he would even know what to do to drop gas prices, but he doesn’t give a darn anyway, as he looks forward to the day when he can control all fuel, food and housing.

We’ll see if this nation of gullible sheep remembers all this come Nov. I’m betting they don’t. I’m betting Mullah Obummer and his MSM manage to distract the sheeple, again.

America can survive Obummer, but it won’t survive the American voters.
