I have to hold my head in shame because I live in one of the most racist towns in America: Apartheid Amherst, Massachusetts. I know you think Amherst,MA with its liberal schools like UMass (marxist ecomomics dept), one of the most LGBT top friendly places to live, and our love for illegal immigrants given MA’s generous EBTs, section 8 housing, and SSI that this couldn’t be true. Amherst racist?

If you read the article the racially motivated beating mentioned was committed by several blacks highschoolers on a white kid. The article skips over that part.

Coalition sues over immigrants’ access to lawyers

They’re actually being expected to clean up after themselves, how evil!

A coalition of lawyers filed a lawsuit Friday to halt the quick deportation of Central American women and children, saying immigrants at a New Mexico detention center don’t have proper access to lawyers and are being forced to clean restrooms.

The American Civil Liberties Union and three other groups filed the lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on behalf of immigrants being held at an isolated detention center in Artesia.

The groups say U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials should be more accommodating to the volunteer lawyers who have traveled to the remote site to aid the recent surge of Central American immigrants. Instead, the groups say, officials are putting illegal barriers between detainees and their lawyers by limiting consultation time and not allowing them to talk on the phone for more than five minutes. The lawyers from around the country are forced to operate in a law library without books and aren’t given full access to their clients, the groups said.

I say put them ALL on a plane and send them south.

    Ben Hueso arrested for DUI

Democratic state Sen. Ben Hueso was arrested Friday on suspicion of drunken driving, the latest black eye for the state’s majority party and the 40-member chamber that suspended three other Democrats facing legal troubles.

Hueso, 44, of San Diego, was arrested at 2:39 a.m. and booked into Sacramento County Jail, said sheriff’s Sgt. Lisa Bowman, after the California Highway Patrol stopped him going the wrong way on a one-way street.

He was released shortly before noon after posting bail of nearly $1,500 and was expected to appear in court Tuesday.

Hueso’s July newsletter to constituents included a Highway Patrol safety tip that driving after drinking is a “critical mistake.”

A photograph posted to Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez’s Twitter account late Thursday night with the message, “Yes … Loving my Latino Caucus boys” shows Hueso and four other lawmakers, several with drinks in their hands, hamming it up inside the state Capitol.

Gonzalez’s tweet was later deleted. When asked about the photograph Friday morning, Gonzalez said, “I have nothing to say” and then dashed into an elevator.

Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg said he was dismayed by the arrest.

“It’s a lapse of personal judgment, and I’m only glad that no one was hurt,” Steinberg said.

He said it was too early to say whether Hueso would face discipline from the Senate.

“Driving under the influence is not only against the law, it puts people in serious danger, and that’s not acceptable,” Steinberg said.

California lawmakers have taken steps this year to repair their image in the wake of the legal trouble and suspension of the three Democratic senators. Sen. Rod Wright, of Inglewood, was convicted for lying about living in his district, while Sens. Ron Calderon, of Montebello, and Leland Yee, of San Francisco, are fighting unrelated federal corruption charges.

Hueso was driving a state-owned Ford Fusion when officers spotted him heading north on southbound 15th Street, California Highway Patrol Officer Julie Powell said. He made a U-turn and headed in the correct direction before officers pulled him over, Powell said.

Deja Vu all over again – illegal aliens running around with dangerous diseases

A Santa Barbara man with a contagious case of drug-resistant tuberculosis was wanted on an arrest warrant Friday so he can complete treatment, health officials said.

Agustin Zeferino, 24, discontinued treatment for the disease two weeks ago, Santa Barbara County Health Department officials said. Zeferino poses a serious health risk to anyone who comes in contact with him, the department said.

“We do everything we can to enable and give patients incentives to be compliant with receiving treatments,” said Charity Thoman, the tuberculosis controller for Santa Barbara County. “This is the most dangerous form of tuberculosis and it can be life-threatening if it goes untreated.”

Drug-resistant tuberculosis is a highly contagious and rare form of the disease that can be spread by coughing or sneezing.

It is the second time in the past month that California health officials issued a warrant for a TB patient refusing treatment, though the move is extremely rare. Eduardo Rosas Cruz, 25, was arrested last month in Fresno after refusing treatment.
