“What’s happening in the turkey sector is a mini-story of what is happening in other sectors, where the impact has been really dramatic,” Alexander said. “If you look at beef cattle, we have the smallest beef cattle herd since 1951, and prices for beef are up 17 percent this year.”

They don’t mention it, but Obama promised to ensure energy prices would skyrocket and that’s one promise he made good on. While they give other factors, they left out that increased energy prices have impacted EVERYONE adversely, except the “1%” cronies of Obama and the Democrats.

One reason I’ve switched and am calling for impeachment despite the fact that it will mean President Biden:

On front page of Guatemalan newspaper, banner headline announcing Biden is promising refugee status for any Central Americans who are under 21.

Now stay with me – this is just more proof that as his first official act as President he’s going to surely commit an impeachable offense. So we will just have to send him packing, too.

Epic fail of obamacare once again

Open enrollment on the federal HealthCare.gov site kicked off Saturday with reports that consumers and brokers had problems logging into accounts.

Just as the federal log in issues appeared resolved Saturday afternoon, issues on state-run sites cropped up.

    Washington healthcare exchange goes down.

Washington’s health care exchange shut down after the first few hours of open enrollment Saturday as state officials and software engineers tried to resolve a problem with tax credit calculations.

Predictably, the NYT is downplaying the problems.

Consumers reported long, frustrating delays in trying to buy insurance and gain access to their own accounts at HealthCare(dot)gov.

Consumers there were having a hard time logging into their accounts, retrieving old passwords and proving they were who they said they were — a process known as identity proofing, which also vexed many people last fall. Some people did complete their applications at the Manassas clinic on Saturday, but it often took them 90 minutes.

Some people were unable to finish what they started, so they left the clinic with plans to return at another time.

Counselors who sought help from the federal call center were told to call back because the website was having “technical issues.”

Kelly D. Fristoe, an insurance agent in Wichita Falls, Tex., said “There’s a major problem for people trying to re-enroll. When we try to log in to access their accounts, we get a message that says the login information is incorrect. In every re-enrollment situation today, we have had to reset the user name and password.”

And we’re still doing our best to import ebola – THANKS OBAMA, THANKS DEMOCRATS!

Rolling the dice, spinning the wheel, sooner or later it will come up snake eyes or double zero.

And Obama’s busy with his pen issuing more illegal executive orders.

President Barack Obama issued a memorandum Thursday protects federal contractors hired to address the Ebola outbreak in West Africa against lawsuits for importing Ebola into the United States.

Obama has no authority to interfere in the legal system in this way.

Plus he’s in cahoots, TRYING to import ebola – that way he can achieve his other goals, killing off a bunch of whites and significantly reducing the carbon footprint of America.

He hasn’t though this through – those most likely to die will be lower classes, the poor and lower middle class, the illegal voter aliens he’s counting on to win elections for Democrats for the next decades.

    Ferguson encounter was brief.

And radio call records suggest Wilson could have known about the robbery committed by Brown and could have had his description.

Police radio calls obtained by the St. Louis Post Dispatch show the deadly police shooting in Ferguson, Mo., occurred within a brief time span of less than 90 seconds.

The newspaper said the radio dispatch recordings it obtained under Missouri’s open records law show Wilson encountered Brown and another man at 12:02 p.m. “Put me on Canfield (Drive) with two. And send me another car,” he tells the dispatcher. Before the encounter a dispatcher had put out a call for a “stealing in progress” at the Ferguson market with descriptions of the two suspects. The paper said that the description of one of the suspects in the Ferguson market theft match Brown’s.

The paper said that based on its calculations Brown was killed less than 61 seconds after the dispatcher acknowledged Wilson’s call.

The paper also said that 84 seconds after the call there was a radio transmission that was only a burst of static and an unintelligible utterance. A dispatcher responded, “10-4” on Canfield.

At 12:07, five minutes after Wilson’s call to the dispatcher, an officer said on the radio, “Get us several more units over here. There’s gonna be a problem.” In the background during the officer’s call woman can be heard wailing.
The newspaper also said that the response to its record request included video surveillance of Wilson.

    THE RADIO CALLS:

Note the claims of Johnson and of witnesses who claim Brown had his hands up and was obeying orders do not match the forensic evidence.

At 11:47 a.m., Wilson said he would respond to a call for a 2-month-old with breathing problems. Wilson drove his police SUV from the west side of West Florissant Avenue to Glenark Drive, east of Canfield Drive and Copper Creek Court, where the fatal encounter would soon occur.

At 11:53 a.m., a dispatcher reported a “stealing in progress” at the Ferguson Market. The 911 operator was still talking to the caller in the background. In a second broadcast, 19 seconds later, the dispatcher says the suspect is a black male in a white T-shirt running toward QuikTrip, and had stolen a box of Swisher cigars.

About four minutes later, there’s more detail: the suspect is wearing a red Cardinals hat, a white T-shirt, yellow socks and khaki shorts, and is accompanied by another man.

At noon, Wilson reports that he’s back in service from the sick-baby call. He then asks the officers searching for the thieves – units 25 and 22 – if they need him. Seven seconds later, an unidentified officer broadcasts that the suspects had disappeared.

At 12:02 p.m., Wilson says, “21. Put me on Canfield with two. And send me another car.” His call triggered at least two officers to head his way, including one who said he was close to Wilson.

Sources have told the Post-Dispatch that Wilson has told authorities that before the radio call he had stopped to tell Brown and his friend, Dorian Johnson, 22, to quit walking down the middle of the street. They kept walking, and he then realized that Brown matched the description of the suspect in the stealing call.

Wilson then asked dispatch for backup and backed up his SUV next to Brown and Johnson.

Wilson said Brown attacked him, sources said, and that they struggled over the officer’s gun before Wilson was able to fire twice, hitting Brown once. Brown ran away.

Wilson has told authorities that he called, “Shots fired, send all cars,” on his radio, but during the struggle his radio had been jarred and the channel changed.

After the call, Wilson pursued Brown on foot.

According to sources, Wilson has said that Brown turned and charged, and that Wilson then fired once, paused when Brown appeared to flinch and fired again, multiple times. He said he then radioed for an ambulance.

Witnesses’ accounts vary widely. Most saw only part of the encounter. Johnson said that Wilson grabbed Brown by the throat, and, later, tried to pull him into the SUV. Johnson also said that Wilson’s fatal shot came after Brown turned around and was getting to the ground with his hands in the air.

Other witnesses have said that Brown stood still or walked, staggered, stumbled or fell toward Wilson before he was killed. Some witnesses said Brown’s hands were up; others said they were not.

Forty-one seconds after Wilson’s call, unit 25 reported that he was about to arrive at Wilson’s location, saying he was “going out on Canfield”and accompanied by the sound of his racing engine.

Forty-eight seconds later, another officer had arrived or was about to, announcing, “22’s out.”

The first tweet went out (assuming time stamps are all correct) 61 seconds after the dispatched acknowledged Wilson’s initial call on the scene.

What’s the point of a Statute of Limitations?

We saw that law casually tossed aside in what was clearly an ex-post-facto effort a while back and now the ‘victim’ in the Cosby case is calling for another ‘exception’ to the rule.

What do you think? Should there be a Statute of Limitations or should people who commit crimes have to keep looking over their shoulder forever? There’s no limit on murder – how many other crimes have no limit to when prosecution can start?

Oregon immigration vote is a warning for Obama

Oregon’s moonbat legislature passed their own amnesty bill (and I notice Obama/Holder didn’t challenge it in court like they did when Arizona passed a bill dealing with illegal immigrants) and the moonbat governor signed it.

And the people rose up and defeated it:

Opponents barely gathered enough signatures to put the repeal question on the ballot. Immigrant rights groups outspent their opponents 10-1.

Still, the measure failed in every county but the state’s most liberal one, Multnomah, home to Portland. Even there it trailed significantly behind other Democratic candidates and causes.

“It was really the epitome of a grassroots effort,” said Cynthia Kendoll, one of the activists who led the campaign against licenses. “There’s such a disconnect between what people really want and what’s happening.”

Obama made his postelection pledge on immigration despite the drubbing that Democrats took across the country. He said he had to act because Congress has deadlocked on immigration for years.

“Whenever the public gets that sort of clear-cut, black-and-white issue for tougher controls — even in Oregon, when they’re legalizing dope — they support them,” Krikorian said. “It really highlights how this issue is not a Republican-liberal issue like, say, taxes and abortion, but an up-down issue, elites versus the public.”

The first sightings of ice on Lake Superior and the Great Lakes overall usually occur during the beginning to middle of December. Lake Superior also set a record for the longest length of time that ice was observed on the lake. In 2013, ice was first observed on Nov. 25, and it did not all melt until early June 2014.
