    Certainly!
    As for the progressive left…
The value of “black lives matter” is…
Only as “good”, as long as blacks continue to know their place in the progressive lefts’, political scheme of things.
1st, as a majority group, to maintain the “substantial”, democratic voting block. And not to disseminate from that mission…
2nd, to continue to live at risk, marginalized, co dependent lives, that may get many of them killed or at best, kill others off, after fulfilling the the first priority when their “usefulness” is over…until the next election…

The racism of Progressives is on full display. Their race war is almost here, it has taken them nearly 50 years to foment it. Remember that these white, progressive, aging, hippies are the command and control for the enemy in that war. They are therefore a legitimate, high value, military target.

How easy it is to fool a liberal moonbat:

    THE TRUTH

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, due to budget cuts imposed by the State legislature, apparently did decide to halt driver’s license testing in 31 satellite offices.

ALEA says the Legislature forced its hand by passing a budget that won’t allow it to hire the personnel it needs to staff the offices.

Some of the backlash is based on how it could affect people trying to meet the requirements of the state’s photo voter ID law, which took effect last year.
Driver’s licenses are the most commonly used form of voter ID.

Liberals have jumped on this, claiming the closures were done to specifically target blacks, which is absurd and demonstrably false.

    HERE ARE THE FACTS:

Secretary of State John Merrill said free voter IDs remain available at every county courthouse and his office will send a van all over the state issuing IDs.

The satellite offices that were closed handled less than 5 percent of ALEA’s driver’s license transactions.

The satellite offices were in 30 counties (two were in Tallapoosa County).

ONLY ABOUT 1/3 OF THE OFFICES TO BE CLOSED, 11 of the closed offices, are in Alabama’s Black Belt, which are mostly poor and sparsely populated counties where some people will admittedly find it hard to travel to a more distant office to take a license test, but they can still easily get to the courthouse and get a free voter ID. So this CLEARLY was NOT intended to target blacks.

Now this could in fact be ALEA playing politics, making the budget cuts hurt so the public will respond angrily and force the legislature to restore the cut money, BUT IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SKIN COLOR, it has to do with the expense of having drivers license examiners in those remote, sparsely populated places and the politics that is routinely played when budgets are cut. The same thing happened in the city of San Diego when city officials wound up with budget shortfalls and, to punish the citizens for not allowing huge tax hikes, the city government started sharply curtailing public parks, fire departments and other things that they did to punish citizens and upset them rather than cutting the fraud and waste in city government.

Was this a bone-headed move? Probably. The article explains that there were perhaps other much better actions that could have and should have been taken.

But the claim this was done to attack blacks is DISPROVEN by the fact that only 1/3 of the closed offices were actually in the ‘black belt’ and even there people can still get FREE VOTER IDs easily.

Here is the way the liberals pitch it on RAW STORY:

    http://disinfo.com/2015/10/alabama-to-stop-issuing-drivers-licenses-in-counties-with-75-black-registered-voters/

Note that in the closing paragraphs they admit two key things:

    1) They’re lying about targeting mostly black counties – in fact the 11 figure I gave was wrong, it’s only 10:

“Take a look at the 10 Alabama counties with the highest percentage of non-white registered voters. That’s Macon, Greene, Sumter, Lowndes, Bullock, Perry, Wilcox, Dallas, Hale, and Montgomery, according to the Alabama Secretary of State’s office. Alabama, thanks to its budgetary insanity and inanity, just opted to close driver license bureaus in eight of them.”

    2) They admit they know this is political, not racist:

“But maybe it’s not racial at all, right? Maybe it’s just political.”

HOW EASY IS IT TO FOOL MOONBATS?

Examining the truth behind a claimed moonbat victory.

It sounds like a huge, flashy number: $2.6 trillion.

That’s probably why the environmental activist group 350.org used it in a headline for a press release today announcing a report on the growing movement to divest from dirty energy companies: “FOSSIL FUEL DIVESTMENT PLEDGES SURPASS $2.6 TRILLION.”

But the report itself tells a somewhat different story.

Released this morning at a New York press conference, the report tallied commitments—made by a global assortment of universities, local governments, pension funds, charitable foundations, religious institutions, and more—to sell off investments in the fossil fuel industry. The tactic has become popular with climate activists as a way to call attention to the industry’s transgressions against the climate, and maybe even to destabilize its bottom line.

On hand to trumpet the findings: Leonardo DiCaprio, along with the head of the UN climate agency (via video) and a packed room of top brass from environmental groups, clean energy companies, and major foundations. DiCaprio himself joined the list, pledging to divest his personal finances and his foundation’s holdings from fossil fuels.

Clickbait is what several commenters are calling it.

First, they use DiCaprio’s name to lure them in.

Second, they make a claim about a huge sum of money that has been ‘divested’ from fossil fuels.

But here’s what you learn when you actually go to the story:

“To date,” the report reads, “436 institutions and 2,040 individuals across 43 countries and representing $2.6 trillion in assets have committed to divest from fossil fuel companies.”

In other words the moonbats who read this will cheer that $2.6 trillion has been divested from fossil fuels.

In other words they’re giving the full total of assets held, not the much smaller total dollar amount that is invested in fossil fuels.

In other words they’re not saying a penny has actually BEEN divested, just that some have PLEDGED to divest and may, or may not, actually follow through.

That big number—$2.6 trillion—has nothing to do with the amount of money that is actually being pulled out of fossil fuel stocks. In fact, the investment consultancy behind today’s report has no idea how much money the institutions surveyed have invested in fossil fuels, and thus how much they have pledged to divest.

Instead, that number refers to the total size of all the assets held by those institutions—hence the word “representing” in the quote above from the report. And that’s a huge difference.

Here’s a perfect example: The report lists the University of California system as a prominent new entry into the divestment movement. Earlier this month, the UC’s chief investment officer announced that the system’s endowment would sell off its holdings in coal and tar sands oil. Those holdings were worth about $200 million. An undisclosed amount is still invested in oil and gas. But the report uses the full amount of the university’s total endowment: $98 billion. That’s 490 times higher than the amount of money actually being divested.

So what’s the exact portion of the $2.6 trillion that is being divested from fossil fuels? No one knows. Indeed, Dorsey couldn’t even confirm that all the institutions listed in the report necessarily had any fossil fuel holdings in their portfolios before they decided to divest. As for DiCaprio, when asked by reporters to clarify the exact amount of his personal stake in fossil fuels, he smiled and waved but kept mum.

That $2.6 trillion statistic is probably much closer to $182 billion—a pretty small piece of the roughly $6 trillion value of the global market for coal, oil, and gas. Dorsey also clarified that the promised divestments are scheduled to take place over the next five years, not overnight.

OK now read these sto stories from MIC CHECK DAILY via e-mail to me and tell me if, were George W. Bush in office right now, we wouldn’t have all liberals and their liberal media outlets SCREAMING that he face war crimes tribunals right now:

U.S. analysts reportedly knew the bombed Afghanistan site was a hospital. Associated Press learned American analysts were collecting intelligence on the Doctors Without Borders hospital decimated by a U.S. airstrike in the northern Afghan city Kunduz earlier this month because they thought it could be a Taliban hub. Because of this — and the fact that air support forces typically have maps noting structures like hospitals — Doctors Without Borders officials said the hospital was “intentionally targeted” in a “premeditated massacre.” It’s still not clear whether or not the commanders firing the gunship knew the building was a hospital.

Nearly 85% of people killed by U.S. drones in recent strikes were unintended targets. The Intercept released an in-depth report Thursday revealing the nation’s Operation Haymaker campaign (meant to target Al Qaeda and Taliban higher ups) killed more than 200 people — but only 35 were enemy targets. It’s unclear how long the mission lasted, but by the end of 2013, the number of civilian casualties by drones in Afghanistan tripled from the prior year. This raises an important question: Drone attacks, laser-guided bombs and “nonlethal weapons” were supposed to reduce civilian casualties and suffering. But are they actually making war more humane — or iskilling just becoming easier?

Democratic National Committeewoman says her party is ‘clearing a path’ for Hillary because ‘the women in charge’ want it that way – IT’S HILLARY OR NOBODY!

The Democratic National Committee is ‘clearing a path’ for Hillary Clinton to be its presidential nominee because its upper power echelons are populated with women, according to a female committee member who was in Las Vegas for Tuesday’s primary debate.

Speaking on the condition that she isn’t identified, she told Daily Mail Online that the party is in the tank for Clinton, and the women who run the organization decided it ‘early on.’

The committeewoman is supporting one of Hillary’s rivals for the Democratic nomination, and said she spoke freely because she believes the former Secretary of State is benefiting from unfair favoritism inside the party.

Clinton aims to be the first female to occupy the Oval Office, and ‘the party’s female leaders really want to make a woman the next president,’ the committeewoman said, rattling off a list of the women who she said are the ‘real power’ in the organization.

UNFORTUNATELY they are betting on the wrong horse-face:

Investigation into Hillary’s email server focuses on Espionage Act and could get her 10 years in jail as FBI agent says she could be prosecuted just for failing to tell Obama

Of course we all know the Obama department of INjustice will NEVER file against Hillary.

FBI FURY! Obama sabotaging FBI server investigation

“I don’t think it posed a national security problem,” Mr. Obama said Sunday on CBS’s “60 Minutes.” He said it was a mistake for Mrs. Clinton to use a private email account when she was secretary of state, but his conclusion was unmistakable: “This is not a situation in which America’s national security was endangered.”

Those statements angered F.B.I. agents who have been working for months to determine whether Ms. Clinton’s email setup had in fact put any of the nation’s secrets at risk, according to current and former law enforcement officials.

Investigators have not reached any conclusions about whether the information on the server had been compromised or whether to recommend charges, according to the law enforcement officials. But to investigators, it sounded as if Mr. Obama had already decided the answers to their questions and cleared anyone involved of wrongdoing.

The White House quickly backed off the president’s remarks and said Mr. Obama was not trying to influence the investigation. But his comments spread quickly, raising the ire of officials who saw an instance of the president trying to influence the outcome of a continuing investigation — and not for the first time.

Obama put the word out: Back off Hillary – this is not the droid you’re looking for.

Now if it had been a conservative/Republican who did that…

AND THE MOTHER… RAN A DAYCARE OUT OF HER APARTMENT!

Last month, a newborn girl with her umbilical cord attached was found dead outside an apartment building in the University Heights section of the borough. Authorities arrested her mother on murder and manslaughter charges, saying she hid her pregnancy and threw the child to her death from a seventh-story window shortly after giving birth.
In August, police arrested a Queens woman in connection with the death of her 1-month-old son. According to court papers, she told authorities an evil spirit had possessed the boy and she was “stopping the pain” when she threw him from a fourth-floor window.

I couldn’t help but wonder why Republicans will likely struggle to eke out a victory against a field of candidates that in any other generation would be unelectable. There is not a single moderately liberal candidate with broad appeal in this field of Democratic presidential candidates. The Democrat Party of the 1980s, which was bad enough in its own time, would hardly recognize this cast of characters who champion the transgendered agenda, illegal immigration, and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Over the past 18 years, the U.S. has admitted over roughly 700,000-800,000 citizens into our voting population every year, with a few years reaching 1 million.

Between 1989-2013, the U.S. has admitted 25.3 million legal permanent residents.

During a comparable 25-year period at the height of the Great Wave, from 1900-1924, only 16.8 million green cards were issued. The current wave has been 66% larger than the Great Wave in terms of green cards issued.

While the immigration wave of the modern era was 66% larger than the Great Wave, the “naturalization wave” underway is 329% greater.

3.52 million immigrants have been naturalized in California since 1996, roughly one-fourth of the total naturalizations nationwide.

According to a 2012 survey, current immigrants favor Democrats over Republicans by almost 4-1.

A number of critical states have doubled or tripled their immigrant population over the past few decades, which in turn has helped Democrats create a “blue firewall” in the Electoral College.

Pollock has filed dozens of stories about the Obamacare co-ops since 23 of the tax-funded groups were created in 2011 at a cost of $2 billion. President Obama promised the co-ops would help lower medical costs by competing with profit-driven private companies.

Seven of the co-ops have closed. A recent report by the Department of Health and Human Services Inspector General said the rest of the co-ops are in deep financial trouble and more are expected to close.

Oh don’t mention it. You’re the one that caught that. You deserve the credit.

I had intended to watch at least as much of the Democrats Debate that I could stand, but that turned out to be not one second so I had to research it when you mentioned it.

    Good catch.

i forced myself to watch only because of Webb. and i watched on line so i didn’t listen to the liars, thieves & traitors.
cannot watch 1 sec of barry o’fraud , our first black, gay, muslim street pimp president. anyway.. the wall & flag
& sculpture in the vietnam memorial would not be without Webb’s efforts. you are a busy person , this is documented along with
a lot of Mr Webb’s life in robt timberg’s novel “the nightingale’s song.” i look forward to reading your comments on blog.

Liberals often proudly inform me they always vote the straight Democrat ticket no matter who is on it (George Wallace?) and then almost in the same breath try to take me to task for always voting straight Republican (joke is on them – I DO NOT!). Webb – I might study up on him. I try to keep an open mind.

Black Lives Matter is a stupid name because crossfire is everyone’s problem. Black people aren’t special.

save you some reading. how often do you see today’s political man behave like this. me, i just like him due to his incredible
fiction writing. first 5 novels are ass kickers. he also writes screenplays (rules of engagement), wrote some episodes of hit shown ncis ..
sorry to go on. it just that this man doesn’t deserve the bad press he gets. “fields of fire” should have been made into a movie. but
hollywood can’t face their own guilt and cowardice during vietnam. this horse manure conciencious objection on moral grounds
    is just more cowardice..

I have no problem with people who are ‘anti-war’ because I myself am anti-war, though like the character in Full Metal Jacket some are curious why I was in the military (not drafted, I volunteered) if that is true. Simply because I understood that having a strong military presence as a deterrent is a key to avoiding war and having idiots in charge (Johnson, Carter, Obama) of our military leads to war or the threat of it.

I abhor the idea of being forced to go to war and though there’s a valid argument it’s unconstitutional, keeping a standing army/military in times of peace does help prevent being forced into war.

People who complain about Bush do not understand the valid geopolitical strategy that led to the decisions he made. The world was coming to what we see going on now, only it was going to be much worse, had he not taken action. Action that should have been maintained but instead we’re going in the wrong direction again. The simple fact is Bush set us up to contain Iran by putting our forces on two sides, ready for a classic pincer once it becomes necessary.
