Guess I should just learn the Moonbattery lesson from being brow beaten by Trumpians and knuckle under then? I will vote my conscience not pragmatic politics, that’s what I am doing. Pragmatic politics is what has gotten us into this sorry state.

You…what will you do, continue to come to a site you disagree with and try to beat us into submission? Look Dave and many here disagree with y’all on this issue and all y’all are doing by barking at us over it is strengthening our resolve to resist the siren call of your orange messiah.

I have been coming to this site for many years. I was simply pointing out the obvious fact that Hillary for sure will advance the Liberal Agenda. If you do not wish to stop her that is your business.

Those you call “Trupians” probably aren’t. I cringe at the thought of him spending even 4 years in the White House – but the simple fact is we both know that even if we vote for some 3rd party candidate, either Trump or Clinton will be elected AND if we don’t go for the devil we don’t know (TRUMP) the devil we DO know (CLINTON) will be elected.

Just like with “glow-bull warming”, I’m more about preventing the bad that we know is happening than guessing about the bad that might someday happen.

  11. Bodhisattva says:

And if they wish to ensure her victory by knocking the legs out of her only real rival, and then say “Did we do that?” for the next 4 to 8 years…

  12. Bodhisattva says:

Was Seth Conrad Rich “Fosterized” after the fact?

I would not take the word of Julian Assange at this point, but I would look into the possibility – was the death of Rich “payback” and/or an attempt to stop him from leaking?

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange implied in an interview that a murdered Democratic National Committee staffer was the source of a trove of damaging emails the rogue website posted just days before the party’s convention.

Speaking to Dutch television program Nieuswsuur Tuesday after earlier announcing a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Seth Rich’s killer, Assange said the July 10 murder of Rich in Northwest Washington was an example of the risk leakers undertake.

When pressed as to whether Rich was, in fact, the leaker, Assange stated that the organization does not reveal its sources.

Police have said they believe the motive was robbery, and that there is no evidence Rich’s murder was connected to his work. But Rich’s father has said the 4 a.m. murder, in which Rich was shot several times from behind, did not appear to be a robbery, as his son’s wallet and watch were not taken.

What is known is that all the gun control laws in D.C. did not save him.

  13. MAS says:

Oh I get that…how could I not? It has been the pragmatic hammer on this and most other sites for months to drive us to the reprobate Trump over the reprobate Hillary. It’s about deeply held convictions not who might be not as bad as the other.

I WILL NOT ever vote for another PP supporting candidate is what most can’t seem to be able to read. There are worse fates than Hillary for ignoring the One True God in our daily decisions and that includes the ballot box.

  14. MAS says:

Nice straw-man…a prime tactic of Trumpians.

  15. Bodhisattva says:

Imagine the fuss if white college students refused to room with non-white, or if straight college students refused to room with other than straight students:

A group of students at the Claremont Colleges are in search of a roommate, but insist the roommate not be white.

Two of the students defending the decision are Resident Advisors at Pitzer College for the 2016-2017 year.

Student Karé Ureña (PZ ’18) posted on Facebook that non-white students in need of housing arrangements should reach out to either her or two other students with whom she plans to live in an off-campus house. The post states that “POC [people of color] only” will be considered for this living opportunity. “I don’t want to live with any white folks,” Ureña added.

Dalia Zada (PZ ’18) expressed concerns to the anti-white discrimination. “‘POC only?’ Maybe I’m missing something or misunderstanding your post, but how is that not a racist thing to say?”

“This is directed to protect POC, not white people. Don’t see how this is racist at all…” responded AJ León (PZ ’18), a member of the Pitzer Latino Student Union.

Well, by the same token every single segregation law, Jim Crow law, poll tax and other law directed at “POC” was only directed to protect white people. So I suppose we should rethink such measures and bring them back?

You see, all white people wanted was to be allowed to create safe white only spaces. It wasn’t racism or discriminatory, it was self preservation.

Why even today we don’t want to have to tiptoe around fragile feelings of “people of color” and other liberals in a space where we just want to relax and be comfortable. We could live with people of color, people who CHOOSE deviant lifestyles and other liberal moonbats, but we would be far more comfortable living with other sane, straight, white conservatives!

(Of course the last bit there is a paraphrase of THEIR excuses for doing this with the appropriate words changed.)

  16. Bodhisattva says:

So moonbats are passing higher minimum wage laws left and right… and the result is?

Americans’ Wages Dropping Fast in 2016

Federal data released Aug. 9 shows that Americans’ wages are dropping again, seven years after President Barack Obama declared the economy had recovered from the property-bubble — and three months before the 2016 election.
The dramatic drop was buried in an Aug. 9 report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which said that officials have radically revised their prior claim that wages grew 4.2 percent in the first quarter, from January to March.

“Real hourly compensation decreased 0.4 percent after revision, rather than the previously-published increase of 4.2 percent,” the BLS admitted. Compensation also fell another 1.4 percent in the second quarter, from April to June, the BLS admitted in the same report. That’s 2 percent drop in wages since December.

That wage-cutting labor surplus is hidden by federal unemployment numbers which suggests that only 1 out of 20 Americans are unemployed. But the reality is that the many Americans and immigrants who do not have a full-time job are slyly discounted in the official reports.

“In addition to the [6.9 million recognized] unemployed, 28 percent (48.5 million) of working-age (16 to 65) natives were not in the labor force … This is much higher than the 25.3 percent rate (42.1 million) in the same quarter of 2007 and the 22.9 percent rate (35.7 million) in 2000,” said a July study from Steve Camarota, the research director at the Center for Immigration Studies, “

Overall, “55.4 million working-age, native-born Americans [were] without jobs in the first quarter of 2016, compared to 41.1 million in the same quarter of 2000,” he wrote.

In contrast, when immigration is kept low, wages tend to rise during economic growth. For example, wages rose sharply in the low-immigration decades between 1925 and 1969. Blue-collar wages also climbed in 1998 and 1999 when the fast-growing economy ran out of workers. Also, in Arizona, wages and research into labor-saving technology rose once many illegals were sent home in the mid-2000s.

I don’t know what’s the fuss… a certain river in Chicago turns green every year!

Seriously, maybe it’s a chemical reaction when the athletes urinate in the pool — possibly due to an as yet undetected substance they’re using to boost their performance?

They have before and after shots at the site.

And trashed the place to boot!

A Bay Area woman said she was left to deal with a massive cleanup at her home after it was trashed by a sex worker who rented it on the popular home-sharing website Airbnb.

According to homeowner Sharon Marzouk, evidence suggested the renter was shooting pornographic photos and videos inside the Menlo Park house.

Marzouk posted video to Facebook showing a huge mess. Her home sustained extensive water damage after the Airbnb guest allegedly left the bathtub running, Marzouk said.

“There was water pouring from the second floor to the first floor,” the host said in a Skype interview.

Now the punch line is her insurance company will probably refuse to pay – as this was not covered under her HOMEOWNER policy.

Airbnb said it was working to cover the cost of the damage at Marzouk’s home.

Airbnb offers multiple safeguards, according to the company’s website. It states hosts can vet renter on by requiring them to provide government-issued identification.

So you MUST show some form of ID to rent from Airbnb, but not to vote in many places?

Panama agrees to help migrants head on for US

Panama promised to help hundreds of migrants who have crossed its jungle border from Colombia to carry on toward the United States.

President Juan Carlos Varela on Tuesday said Panama would make an exception to its immigration restrictions for migrants who have recently crossed into Panama’s Darien jungle.

“The border will remain closed to irregular migrants, but those that are using these points to cross and have already reached our territory will be given humanitarian assistance so they can continue on their way,” he said.

“Panama will not allow anyone who has crossed into our country to die on our territory,” he added, in a public speech.

Around 800 US-bound migrants, most of them from Haiti, Africa, Asia and Cuba, are in dense jungle on the Panama-Colombia border, Varela said Friday.

He described it as “another migration crisis.”

A further 2,500 are stranded in Panama’s northern neighbor, Costa Rica, since the next country on the trail, Nicaragua, has tightened immigration controls.

Why not send them back? It’s much closer, much easier.

But of course this all has nothing to do with the fact he’s gay…

Michael Sam EXPLODED on a guy outside of a West Hollywood club Tuesday night — saying he gives “our community a bad f***ing name” … and warning him he was about to catch an ass whoopin’.
It all went down outside of Bootsy Bellows, where the ex-football player (who’s still in massive, athletic shape) had been hanging out with a group of friends, including EJ Johnson.
But when they got to the cars, Sam and a man in a white shirt began to yell at each other.
“People like f***ing you give our community a bad f***ing name,” Sam roared … before calling the other man a “trifling ass bitch.”

So that’s what it’s like when you’re gay and someone wants more than just a one night stand and you’re not interested?

    Cruz control
It has dawned on some in the media that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), far from incinerating his own political career by refusing to endorse Donald Trump, may be one of the few survivors of the 2016 GOP presidential field. Well, we have been making that case — since May. His convention speech, we have argued, kept Cruz free from months of the political hypocrisy and intellectual dishonesty that have plagued so many Trump apologists.

We thought he played the aftermath of the primaries — staying low and letting others contort themselves — smartly. He’s continuing on that path:

Cruz, in rare fashion, has let the fire rage without adding his own gasoline. “He’s doing a remarkable job staying quiet and letting people come to that conclusion on their own,” said Amanda Carpenter, a longtime adviser to Cruz.

While those close to Cruz were confident the decision not to endorse would be the right one in the end, the quickness with which it’s panning out has been a bit of a surprise. “Trump blew his own convention. While predictable, it still boggles the mind it happened,” Carpenter said. “Trump is like a tornado. You know it’s going to be devastating when it rips through your house but the aftermath is still shocking.”

Moreover, each time a group of principled, apolitical figures comes forward to bash Trump, Cruz deserves another “I told you so.” He warned, you recall, that Trump was a pathological liar driven by emotional neediness and devoid of the qualities we need in a president. (“This man is a pathological liar. He doesn’t know the difference between truth and lies. He lies practically every word that comes out of his mouth. And in a pattern that I think is straight out of a psychology textbook, his response is to accuse everybody else of lying. He accuses everybody on that debate stage of lying. And it’s simply a mindless yell. Whatever he does, he accuses everyone else of doing. The man cannot tell the truth, but he combines it with being a narcissist. A narcissist at a level I don’t think this country has ever seen.”)

Most fundamentally, Mr. Trump lacks the character, values, and experience to be President. He weakens U.S. moral authority as the leader of the free world . . . . He is unable or unwilling to separate truth from falsehood. He does not encourage conflicting views. He lacks self-control and acts impetuously. He cannot tolerate personal criticism. He has alarmed allies with his erratic behavior.

The latter is the view of 50 respected foreign policy experts. Their critique is as much a repudiation of Trump as it is confirmation of the assessment Cruz made.

Clinton Up 6 on Trump in Two-Way Race in Bloomberg National Poll
The findings suggest damage has been done to one of Trump’s main calling cards, his business expertise.
Hillary Clinton has retained most of the bounce she received after the Democratic National Convention and now enjoys a 6-point lead over Donald Trump in a two-way contest among likely voters.

The Democratic presidential nominee’s advantage in a new Bloomberg Politics national poll is smaller than in some surveys conducted the week after her convention, including some that sampled registered voters, a broader group. When third-party candidates are included, her lead in this poll shrinks to close to the margin of error.

The findings suggest damage has been done to one of Trump’s main calling cards, his business expertise, with 61 percent of likely voters saying they’re less impressed with the Republican nominee’s business acumen than when the campaign started.

Clinton’s lead over Trump of 50 percent to 44 percent in a two-way contest is boosted by a greater consolidation of support among Democrats than Republicans have shown for their candidate. She wins 94 percent of the Democratic vote, including 93 percent of Democrats who backed Senator Bernie Sanders in the primary race, while Trump gets 87 percent of the Republican vote.

In a four-person race that includes Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson and Green Party nominee Jill Stein, Clinton leads Trump 44 percent to 40 percent.

  33. Torcer says:

Polls: Clinton’s Lead Over Trump Increases in Three Battleground States
Democrat Hillary Clinton leads Republican Donald Trump in three key battleground states after the conclusion of the political conventions, including in all-important Ohio, according to a trio of new NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist polls.

“These three states are key ingredients in Trump’s formula for success and a region where Trump was hoping [running mate Mike] Pence would provide a boost,” says Lee Miringoff, director of the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion. “Yet Trump is coming up short in his bid to change the electoral map. Given that Clinton has many more paths to the White House, these poll results are a warning sign for the Trump effort.”

RNC should call EMERGENCY meeting to REPLACE TRUMP on the ballot! – Amanda Carpenter
Someone had to do it, and as usual the brave Amanda Carpenter stepped out publicly to say that the RNC needs to seriously consider a meeting to replace el Trumpo from the nomination.

    Amanda Carpenter@amandacarpenter
Trump’s comments indefensible. As I understand it 16 members of RNC can call emergency meeting to vacate and replace him on ballot. Do it.

That would be political pandemonium but you know they have to be considering it because as el Scoopo showed earlier, Trump’s polling is so terrible that it doesn’t even matter what happens in the “swing states” – he would lose handily if the election were run today.

So where is the Trumper’s argument that this is the only way we can beat Hillary?

  37. Torcer says:

Gary Johnson and the Promise of Libertarian Constitutionalism

Gary Johnson and the Promise of Libertarian Constitutionalism
Is the Constitution a libertarian document?
Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson recently told that if he’s elected president his nominees to the U.S. Supreme Court will be “people that look at the Constitution of original intent.” Over at the liberal legal blog Balkinization, University of Michigan law professor Richard Primus took issue with Johnson’s statement. Johnson’s problem, Primus insisted, is his “mistaken understanding that the Founders shared his libertarian values.” In Primus’ view, libertarians really have no business being constitutional originalists because it is “a serious distortion of history to think of the Founders’ Constitution as distinctly libertarian.”

To be sure, the Constitution is not tantamount to the Libertarian Party Platform. But then of course no serious libertarian legal thinker would ever claim otherwise. The salient point here is that the Constitution—interpreted according to its original meaning—does contain some very powerful libertarian elements.

MAS, I have no desire to browbeat you in anyway. However, you might consider this additional information.

Trump, today, is strongly Pro-Life and will nominate Pro-Life judges. Hillary will not and wants the government to pay for abortions. Here is part of a Q&A Session.

“Q: Evangelicals want to feel secure that they’re going to have a nominee that’s solid on those social issues.

A: One thing about me, I’m a very honorable guy. I’m pro-life, but I changed my view a number of years ago. One of the primary reasons I changed [was] a friend of mine’s wife was pregnant, and he didn’t really want the baby. He was crying as he was telling me the story. He ends up having the baby and the baby is the apple of his eye. It’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to him. And you know here’s a baby that wasn’t going to be let into life. And I heard this, and some other stories, and I am pro-life.

Q: So those stories did change you, they came around and changed you?

A: They changed me. Yeah, they changed my view as to that, absolutely.”
Apparently, for some reason, I am not able to post the link. You will find it on an internet search on “Trump on abortion”

For the record, I am strongly Pro-Life and have fought that battle for many years. The lead attorney for the pro-abortion position is a graduate of my law school. She and her attorney husband made a presentation to my Criminal Law Class that made me Pro-Life. One of my classmates asked the following question:
“Do you realize that the rationale that you use to justify abortion would also justify infanticide?”
Her husband answered, “Yes, but that doesn’t mean there wouldn’t be anyone sitting in those seats” as he waved his hand.
Yes, indeed, the Lord is ultimately in charge and that is my true hope.
