    I was frustrated at how many opportunities trump missed. That was one out the gate. Pure white house talking points. Should have corrected them in the first 15 seconds. Should have corrected the core blm lie the black people are disproportionately shot by cops. And the cyber security question was a slow pitch over the plate, should have started with proposing as an improvement that his sec state would not keep classified info on an unsecure server in a bathroom maintained by people with no security clearance or lose blackberries in the mail. Or at least hammer home the extremely careless remark.

    That’s far from all. Yes they were in the tank for hillary, but trump did a very poor job. In part that’s just him, he’s not as good at this as most of the other gop candidates are, but even he is capable of better.

    All that said, Hillary and her pet moderator were full of crap. Hope most people can see that. But for the uninformed, I’m sure it looked like Clinton beat him badly.

    Yes, I saw that, quite interesting. I number of comments (I don’t know how representative they are) thought Clinton won on style and Trump won on substance. You never know who is responding to those open polls. I would have thought the DNC would have a better ground game set up to go crash the polls, so the polls in favor or Trump are doubly surprising to me. But people may indeed be simply be so fed up with what Clinton represents that they don’t believe a word she says, no matter how smooth she is.

    Records obtained by the KING 5 Investigators showed a Kirkland mental health facility tried to involuntarily commit the suspected Cascade Mall shooter last year.

    Records show the doctors at Fairfax Hospital told a King County judge they were gravely concerned about the shooter.

    In documents filed with Island County District probation officers, a doctor checked a box indicating he was worried the shooter would harm himself.

    A separate box indicating the shooter might harm others was not checked. It is unclear from these records whether or not the shooter was involuntarily admitted to the hospital.

    Records also show that the shooter was diagnosed with autism, depression, and ADHD. He was receiving medicine like Prozac for his illnesses in the months before the shooting.

    Ted Cruz’s Donald Trump endorsement reminds us never, ever, ever to trust a politician.
    I have summed this up as the First Commandment of the Right: “Place not thy faith in politicians.” (I thought it had nice biblical overtones, and one of my conservative friends pointed out that it’s just an updated version of a line from Psalm 146: “Put not your trust in princes.”)

    This means we should stop looking for saviors and strongmen or people who promise us that only they can solve all of our problems. We don’t need better politicians. We need to stop giving them so much power over our lives. That’s what makes the case for small government. Men who aren’t good enough to stick to their principles until the end of an election season aren’t good enough to make the thousands of other decisions about our lives that they presume to make.

    It also means that we need to focus less on the narrow choices of an election and more on solving our problems ourselves, through our own efforts at moral reform and political education. Politicians respond to the will of the people. If we want them to be better—or at least to act better—than we need to be better people. And that’s going to be a much longer, more difficult process of reform than most of us realized before this year.

    In the meantime, I’m resting my political hopes on the last Never Trump Republican standing, Ben Sasse—and I look forward to discovering how he will disappoint me in 2020.

    Her facial expressions, eye movements, even the way she held her mouth had me tensing up, as I waited for the skin to split and some grotesque alien life form to emerge and announce, “PEOPLE OF EARTH…”

    On substance, she had a grasp of the issues being presented. The problem was, I disagreed with pretty much everything she was saying.

    She’s an arrogant, corrupt Socialist, and our nation can’t afford her.

    Then there was Trump.

    Oh. My. God.

    If there was ever any doubt that the man is completely unfit to lead, it should have been removed after last night.

    I’ll give him credit for making some very good points about the economy during the first few minutes of the debate, but he couldn’t hang on for long. As the heat was turned up, he dissolved into a pool of his own inadequacy.

    The twitching, the facial expressions, his constant interruptions… these were things that went over well during the primaries (for some bizarre reason), but he shouldn’t have expected it to be the same during the first general debate.

    He was utterly unprepared and outclassed, by the one person that literally any other candidate would have been able to pick apart with ease, from beginning to end.

    Donald Trump faced off not just against Hillary Clinton, but against moderator Lester Holt.

    The game of two-on-one saw Holt ask no questions about:

    -Hillary’s emails
    -Benghazi
    -The Clinton Foundation
    – Hillary’s support of her serial philandering/female abusing husband and resulting attacks on his victims

    While ignoring these issues, Holt grilled Trump on stop-and-frisk, the birther story, his comments about women, his many bankruptcies, why he hasn’t released his tax returns — and a host of other issues the media sees as unfriendly to the Republican candidate.

    Holt also repeatedly attempted to “fact check” on some of Trump’s positions, such as his claim to have opposed the Iraq War from the beginning. Holt interrupted Trump several times to interject, but rarely succeeded (and may have come across as weak and impotent).

    Palantir Technologies co-founder Peter Thiel is evidently paying the price for backing Republican nominee Donald Trump, as the Obama administration has slapped his company with a frivolous lawsuit alleging “racial discrimination” against Asians.
    The lawsuit, filed and announced Monday by the Department of Labor, threatens the complete cancellation of every contract Palantir has with the federal government — a penalty worth $340 million, the lawsuit claims, which would end the company.

    The claims in the lawsuit are laughable. The Obama administration alleges that Palantir discriminated against Asians. But it has to admit that Palantir, in fact, hired many Asians — 11 out of 25 software engineers, for example. The government does not even bother to claim that Palantir deliberately excluded Asians. Rather, it argues that since only 44% of Palantir’s software engineers are Asian, but 85% of the applicant pool was Asian, Palantir must, statistically, have discriminated against Asians.

    In other words: almost all of the software engineers at Palantir have to be Asian, or else it is guilty of “racial discrimination.” Apparently left-wing concern for “diversity” in the workplace is a flexible concept, based on political expediency.

    (It is notoriously difficult for anyone, Asian or otherwise, to be hired by Palantir, which deals with very sensitive and advanced intelligence-oriented projects — a fact that is well-known in the tech, defense, and public policy communities.)

    The lawsuit is obvious revenge for Thiel’s support of Trump. In his speech at the Republican National Convention in July, Thiel blasted the government for its technological backwardness: “[T]oday our government is broken … it would be kind to say the government’s software works poorly, because much of the time it doesn’t even work at all.”

    3. Everyone’s a Little Bit Racist.
    4. Let The Criminals Out. Hillary said that more criminals should be let out of prison, as well, and said she wanted to end private prisons – presumably without building new ones.
    5. The Iran Deal Is Great!
    6. More Pay For Less Work For Women.
    Hillary is a far-leftist. Trump’s inadequacies and stupidities don’t change that fact. Her radicalism is a true threat to the country.

    No Due Process Before Gun Rights Removal. A few months ago, Trump got into hot water with the NRA after saying he supported a proposal to remove Second Amendment rights from anyone placed on the no-fly list, no due process of law necessary. He then backed down. He went back to his original position last night: “I agree [with Clinton], and a lot of people even within my own party want to give certain rights to people on watch lists and no-fly lists. I agree with you.” In other words, if you are on a no-fly list, and you don’t even know about it, you have no right to own a gun.

    Seven military students fled training in U.S. this month

    Several Afghan nationals undergoing military training in the United States disappeared from U.S. military bases this month, according to Pentagon and Homeland Security officials.

    “During the month of September, seven Afghan students were considered absent without leave (AWOL) during international military student programs,” Pentagon spokesman Cmdr. Patrick L. Evans said.

    Three of the Afghan military trainees fled from a Pentagon training program two weekends ago during the bombing spree in New York and New Jersey by Afghan-born bombing suspect Ahmad Rahami, raising concerns among security officials that the missing Afghan students may be linked to terrorism or plans for attacks in the United States.

    The disappearance of the Afghans comes amid heightened fears of increasing Islamist terror attacks around the country. The attacks have included the New York area bombings and attempted bombings, a knife attack at a Minnesota mall by a Somali jihadist, and other regional shootings.

    Two of the missing Afghans had been training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and one was training at Fort Gordon, Georgia.

    An Army source said the Afghans who left the weekend of the New York area bombings appeared to be part of a coordinated effort. The three men are being probed for possible connections to Rahami. “Initial assessment is that there is not relation and the timing is coincidental,” the source said.

    On Friday September 30, a rare Black Moon will occur, which many are linking to the apocalypse.

    The spectacular Black Moon occurs when the illuminated side of the moon is caught in the shadow of the Earth, making it virtually impossible to see.

    The phenomenon happens roughly every 32 months, but this one holds special significance due to other universal activity this month.

    The first day of September brought with it a ‘ring of fire’ solar eclipse – where the moon falls in line with the Earth and the sun above Africa, making it appear as if the sun had darkened.

Higher interest rates mean higher costs to business so they have less money to pay workers which translates into fewer jobs which increases the unemployment rate. In other words stupid, the CONTEXT of a statistic matters, but Progressive propagandists like you don’t care about the truth.

    As a Progressive, you also failed to include the RESULTS of that strategy, by 1986, inflation was down to 1.9% and by 1986 unemployment was down to 5.3%. None of which will matter to a Progressive like you.
