Martin O’Malley Equates Republicans With Nazis And KKK, Then Serenades Utah With Commie Anthem

The “never was” Martin O’Malley tells the Utah Demotard party that Republicans are the KKK and the Nazi’s. No big surprise, they have done that for years. What I find interesting is the continued theme among Demotard operatives, pols, media, etc., that they “fight”. They aren’t talking about going to court, they are talking about openly violating federal law and daring the federal government to stop them. They have been pushing everything from open rebellion to secession at the state and local government levels and have publicly stated that they will not obey federal law any longer. The prime example of which can be found in the sanctuary city issue.

The left is unwilling to allow the “progress” they have made to be lost. They were ready for their endgame and now see it slipping back years, even decades. That reality is forcing them to change strategy, they are tired of the “long march through the institutions” and want to complete their “revolution” now. What is new here is that this isn’t a bunch of street thugs or fringe organizations doing these things, it is state and local governments and even federal officials. This issue is EXACTLY like the one that started Civil War I and is “progressing” nicely toward that same conclusion. The attack on Ft. Sumter was not what started Civil War I, it was merely the capstone event in a long trail of events to trigger open conflict. Where will Ft. Sumter be this time? Who knows, maybe in your city, regardless the ensuing conflict will be fought in your backyard. Rather than being concerned about where the Ft. Sumter event will occur, you may want to consider where the Gettysburg event will occur and get out while the getting is good. The 50,000 KIA in that battle is going to look like a day at the beach with the weapons available today.

Demand Protest ads running seek operatives to “send a strong message” at presidential inauguration.

Donald Trump may have a point about paid protesters: Job ads running in more than 20 cities offer $2,500 per month for agitators to demonstrate at this week’s presidential inauguration events.
Demand Protest, a San Francisco company that bills itself as the “largest private grassroots support organization in the United States,” posted identical ads Jan. 12 in multiple cities on seeking “operatives.”
“Get paid fighting against Trump!” says the ad.
“We pay people already politically motivated to fight for the things they believe. You were going to take action anyways, why not do so with us!” the ad continues. “We are currently seeking operatives to help send a strong message at upcoming inauguration protests.”
The job offers a monthly retainer of $2,500 plus “our standard per-event pay of $50/hr, as long as you participate in at least 6 events a year,” as well as health, vision and dental insurance for full-time operatives.

A Tesla driver was stranded in Red Rock Canyon near Las Vegas after the car’s keyless control app suddenly stopped working.

Interested in testing a feature that lets Tesla owners unlock and power their car using their smartphone, Ryan Negri decided to leave his keys at home when he went for a drive around the canyon yesterday.

The keyless smartphone feature, which is available through Tesla’s iPhone and Android apps, lets users remotely monitor and control their Tesla Model S without their key. One of the main features of the app is the ability to “unlock and drive Model S without your key”.
Negri was able to do just this – but only to begin with. After getting out of the vehicle to adjust something when he was six miles from home he found himself locked out of the car unable to get back in let alone start it.

What Negri didn’t know before leaving the house without his keys was that the feature requires the owner’s phone to have signal. Without signal it is unable to connect to Tesla’s servers to unlock or start the car.

He happened to stop where there was no cell service.

President Obama rushed to fill nearly 100 federal government vacancies during a frenzy of appointments in his final few weeks in office.

Since the new year, Obama has named 72 people to federal job openings and nominated another 17 for positions requiring Senate confirmation, according to CBS reporter Mark Knoller.

On Monday night, Obama announced appointments for 27 officials to government positions and named two to jobs requiring Senate confirmation.

The wave of announcements includes several White House officials, who will serve well after Obama leaves office.

They include Avril Haines, named a member of the National Commission on Military, National, and Public Service; Sarah Hurwitz, a speechwriter for Michelle Obama, and Raffi Freedman-Gurspan, a White House official, to be members of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council; Christy Goldfuss, DJ Patil, Amy Pope, Dan Utech and Cristin Dorgelo, all White House officials, to be members of the National Infrastructure Advisory Council.

Monday’s announcement also included Todd Phillip Haskell to be ambassador to Congo and Jason E. Kearns to be a member of the US International Trade Commission — both positions requiring Senate confirmation.

  19. Bodhisattva says:

For all President Obama’s claims to want a smooth transition to the new administration, his people have been laying plenty of land mines for Team Trump.

Some are plainly Obama’s doing, from that anti-Israel UN Security Council resolution to slamming the door on Cuban refugees. But the nastier ones — the Justice Department inspector general probe of FBI chief Jim Comey’s announcements on the Clinton email investigation, and the leak about that “Russian dossier” — have more deniability.

The Cuba move may be the most ironic, given fears on the left that Trump would close the door on refugees. Yet here’s Obama, denying to Cubans who flee the island dictatorship the protection — instituted by President Bill Clinton in 1995 — of legal residency if they make it to US soil.

At least that one’s easy for the next president to reverse — though it’ll give his critics another chance to sound the alarm about his policies on refugees from terror-hotspot countries, which is likely the real point.

The UN move, by contrast, will complicate US efforts at Middle East peace for years, maybe decades — by hamstringing any effort to get Israel and the Palestinians to find compromise on all their outstanding issues. It’s also a direct strike at the pro-Israel policies Team Trump had signaled.

We’ll likely never know just who leaked to CNN that a key Trump intelligence briefing included a summary of the “Russian dossier.” But that leak was plainly a bid to undermine Trump, since it falsely implied that the intel community believed the absurd allegations — which strongly suggests the leak came from some Obama political appointee, rather than any career intel officials.

The IG probe also looks political — stirring up yet again the idea that Comey handed the election to Trump by reviving voter worries about Clinton’s email abuses. It also seems one-sided, since any fair review should look into the entire handling of the email probe, including the unusual grants of immunity to top Clinton aides, as well as the agreements to destroy evidence at the investigation’s end.

Yet the Trump team is left with the ugly choice of shutting down a potentially embarrassing probe — or letting a potentially partisan effort proceed. The best bet will likely be to ensure the investigation covers everything — even though we’d all hoped to be done with the Clinton scandals now.

Presidential transitions are traditionally apolitical and nonpartisan. It’s sad that the Obama team chose to give America one last sour dose of “change.”

It’s the first time the ethics commissioner has opted to investigate the actions of a sitting prime minister.

Must be a slow news day – naturally the U.S. practices against Russian/Chinese jets when they can. This is nothing new and not a sign of impending war:

Is this proof America is preparing for war with Russia? US plane is spotted in a mock dogfight with a Russian jet above the top secret Area 51 base
EXCLUSIVE: The US Air Force conducted a mock dogfight using a Russian fighter jet above Area 51 in Nevada
The ‘enemy’ jet was a single-seat Sukhoi SU-27P, which is used by the Russian and Chinese air forces
The Sukhoi was intercepted by an F-16 fighter operating out of the nearby Nellis Air Force Base
The two jets fought each other for 25 minutes at altitudes ranging between 20,000 and 30,000 feet

Yes, this is practice for if we ever wind up having to fight those jets in real life, but not a sign war is imminent.

The Sukhoi jet is believed to have been one of two purchased from Belarus in 1996 to evaluate the aircraft – so this sort of thing has been going on since then, for 10 years.

Reporters Plead with MLK III to Attack Trump; Did Lewis Tweets Shake You ‘To Your Core?’

On Monday afternoon, reporters stationed inside Trump Tower begged Martin Luther King III to attack President-elect Trump over tweets concerning Democratic Congressman John Lewis (Ga.) following a meeting on the day honoring King’s father, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

King began by stating that he and Trump had “a very constructive meeting” with most of the focus on voting rights, but reporters quickly shifted the topic to Lewis.

‘Never Trump’ national-security Republicans fear they have been blacklisted

But their phones aren’t ringing. Their entreaties to Trump Tower in New York have mostly gone unanswered. In Trump world, these establishment all-stars say they are “PNG” — personae non gratae.

Their transgression was signing one or both of two public “Never Trump” letters during the campaign, declaring they would not vote for Trump and calling his candidacy a danger to the nation.

One letter, with 122 names, was published by War on the Rocks, a website devoted to national security commentary, during the primary season in March. The other, with 50 names, including some repeat signatories, was published by the New York Times during the general-election campaign in August.

Now, just days before Trump is sworn in as the nation’s 45th president, the letter signers fear they have been added to another document, this one private — a purported blacklist compiled by Trump’s political advisers.

Had they just kept quiet this would not be happening – they publicly chose sides and this is reasonable payback. I’m not saying it’s necessarily a good idea, but on the other hand, I wouldn’t want people who had publicly knifed me in the back in positions of power where they could do things against me.

Border Patrol agents use the Consequence Delivery System, or CDS, to classify apprehended aliens using seven criminal and noncriminal categories. They then decide which of eight consequences the apprehended aliens should receive, based on how effective the consequences are in preventing the individuals from trying again to illegally enter the United States. The CDS system plays a major role in the Department of Homeland Security’s efforts to combat transnational criminal organizations and drug smuggling across the U.S. border.

However, Border Patrol agents incorrectly classified roughly 15,000 criminal alien apprehensions between fiscal years 2013-15, according to a Government Accountability Office report issued this month. Twenty-four percent of these aliens, or 3,717, were allowed to voluntarily return to their countries of origin. Voluntary return is rated as the least effective and efficient of the consequences. More severe consequences include criminal prosecution.

“Our analysis showed that criminal aliens not classified in accordance with agency guidance were less likely to face prosecution and more likely to be voluntarily returned to their home country than criminal aliens overall,” the GAO investigation concluded.

The widow of Omar Mateen, the shooter in the Orlando nightclub massacre, has been arrested in San Francisco, sources tell CBS News.

Noor Salman is facing charges of aiding and abetting, as well as obstruction of justice in the case of the worst mass shooting in American history. She moved to the San Francisco area after the June shooting, in which her husband was killed by SWAT team members after slaughtering 49 people inside a popular gay nightclub.

Salman is expected to make her first appearance tomorrow in San Francisco.

Law enforcement sources have long suspected she had a role in the attack, saying previously that Salman purchased ammunition with her husband, and they believe she drove with him as he cased the Pulse nightclub prior to the shooting.

Salman’s lawyer repeated her client’s denials in a statement on Monday.

“Noor Salman had no foreknowledge nor could she predict what Omar Mateen intended to do that tragic night,”</b? her attorney, Linda Moreno, said. “Noor has told her story of abuse at his hands. We believe it is misguided and wrong to prosecute her and that it dishonors the memories of the victims to punish an innocent person.”

CBS News senior investigative producer Pat Milton reported in the aftermath of the shooting in June of last year that Salman was interviewed multiple times by the FBI and was administered a polygraph test.

<b?Salman told FBI investigators she tried to stop her husband from committing the attack.

As President Barack Obama leaves the White House after eight years in office his legacy includes policies that hindered job opportunities for young people and saddled them with debt, according to newly released statistics.

Young America’s Foundation on Tuesday released its annual Youth Misery Index and found it at a record high.

The index is calculated by adding youth unemployment, student loan debt, and national debt (per capita) numbers, and the 2017 figure of 113.4 is up from 109.9 last January and 83.5 in 2009, when President Obama took office, the foundation notes.

“Over the course of Obama’s presidency, the YMI has spiked an alarming 29.9 points, an increase of 36 percent,” the group stated in a news release announcing the latest figures.

“Young Americans, a generation that provided critical support to the President in 2008 and 2012, have slogged through the last eight years, and will be chained to its impact on their futures for years to come,” it continued. “The youth unemployment rate is almost 15 percent and the average student in the class of 2016 graduated with a record $37,000 in student loan debt. National debt per capita, a remarkable burden that will fall squarely on the shoulders of millennials, is approaching $62,000.”

General Cartwright is paying the price for Hillary Clinton’s sins

The Obama administration Justice Department has investigated three senior officials for mishandling classified information over the past two years but only one faces a felony conviction, possible jail time and a humiliation that will ruin his career: former Joint Chiefs of Staff vice chairman General James E. Cartwright. The FBI’s handling of the case stands in stark contrast to its treatment of Hillary Clinton and retired General David Petraeus — and it reeks of political considerations.

Monday marked a stunning fall from grace for Cartwright, the man once known as “Obama’s favorite general,” who pleaded guilty to the felony charge of lying to the FBI during its investigation into the leaking of classified information about covert operations against Iran to two journalists. His lawyer Greg Craig said in a statement that Cartwright spoke with David Sanger of the New York Times and Dan Klaidman of Newsweek as a confirming source for stories they had already reported, in an effort to prevent the publication of harmful national security secrets.

Under his plea deal, Cartwright could face up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Last year, Petraeus cut a deal with the Justice Department after admitting he had lied to the FBI and passed hundreds of highly classified documents to his biographer and mistress Paula Broadwell. He pleaded guilty to a single misdemeanor of mishandling classified information and was sentenced to two years probation and a $100,000 fine.

Clinton was not charged at all for what FBI Director James B. Comey called “extremely careless” handling of “very sensitive, highly classified information.” Comey said that although there was “evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information,” the FBI’s judgment was that no reasonable prosecutor would have filed charges against Clinton or her associates.

Because filing the appropriate charges would have derailed her bid for the Presidency.

  52. Bodhisattva says:

OK so this is a cascade… we already know the first part:

For most of his two terms in office, Obama relentlessly sought to prosecute those who spilled government secrets, trying to deter others from following suit. Republican and Democratic critics said Tuesday’s commutation rendered that effort worthless.

Sen. John McCain, chairman of the Armed Services Committee, called the commutation of Manning’s sentence “ a grave mistake that I fear will encourage further acts of espionage and undermine military discipline.”

Bradley Manning’s “dishonor will last forever,” McCain said.

    It’s own thread here:

Howver, no such luck for Snowden.

    but what about this:

Assange would agree to extradition if Obama pardons Bradly Manning, WikiLeaks says

So Obama commuted his sentence – but did not pardon him. I wonder if that will be the excuse Assange uses for not following through.

But he did grant him “clemency” and here is what the story says:

WikiLeaks said Thursday that its founder Julian Assange will agree to be extradited to the U.S. if President Barack Obama grants clemency to Bradley Manning.

WikiLeaks made the announcement on Twitter and remained adamant that the Department of Justice case against Assange was unconstitutional.

Assange has been hiding out at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London since June 2012 to avoid extradition to Sweden to face sexual assault allegations. According to AFP, Assange fears Stockholm would extradite him to the U.S. after WikiLeaks published thousands of secret cables from the U.S. military, which were leaked by Manning during his time as a U.S. soldier.

Manning is serving a 35-year sentence for handing more than 700,000 documents to the State Department. He’s currently being held at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas.

It makes some sense that the action by Obama weakens the case against Assange since his part in this is he published the documents Manning provided… among other things.

There were a couple bright spots:

    Scott Baio:

“He’s a fighter, and he won’t let anything slide.”

    Stephen Baldwin:

“I think he really wants what’s best for everybody.”

And Van Jones was right, but in the wrong way, when he said:

“This thing should not have been close.”

Yeah, without voter fraud Trump would have run away with both the EC and the popular vote.

    And Bill Maher says,

“I think we all know where the true balls are.”

Yeah, they’re on his chin. As in “Nutz on ya chin” by Easy E.

You might find the language and the concept objectionable, but here’s the video:

  54. Bodhisattva says:

Can you say “OUT OF TOUCH WITH REALITY”:

Rosie O’Donnell on Donald Trump: ‘Do Not Give Up, He Will Never Be President’

    Guess again, Rosie.

  55. JeffersonSpinningInGrave says:

    “…she pretends to be a journalist…”

    Not a very convincing imitation.
