Breaking news….Trump fires FBI director James Comey

This is the same guy who said they were going to investigate Hillary, built a strong case for indictment, then let her off, then re-opened the investigation, then let her off again.

And, of course, Hillary blames Comey for losing the election rather than facing the fact that she was the worst candidate in US history.

  2. Mr. Freemarket says:

Comey finds out that he is fired while in LA talking to the FBI field office there.

Why was he really fired? “Comey was in Los Angeles for a field office inspection and recruitment event meant to improve diversity in the FBI.”

A government employee trying to promote diversity should be fired.

    Dear Director Comey,

I have received the attached letters from the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General of the United States recommending your dismissal as Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. I have accepted their recommendation and you are hereby terminated and removed from office, effective immediately.

While I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation, I nevertheless concur with the judgment of the Department of Justice that you are not able to effectively lead the Bureau.

It is essential that we find new leadership for the FBI that restores public trust and confidence in its vital law enforcement mission.

I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

    A drive-by shooting gone horribly wrong…..

A home that had been targeted for arson in Friday was the location where four guys in a Nissan attempted to shoot the homeowner who was standing in the yard. Three men in the car were hit by the armed homeowner; one died at the scene. A second died in the hospital. No word on the condition of the third man in the hospital.

    The homeowner was not hit.

It appears that the homeowner spending time at the gun range was a better use of his time than his assailants driving around, learning how to hold their gun in the “cool” position…..

No word yet on the race of any of those involved, or what business enterprise between them may have gone wrong.

  19. Bodhisattva says:

Well at least we’ve settled the question about whether Comey was colluding with Trump during the election, I suppose. In typical Democrat fashion they’ve gone from hating him & blaming him for Hillary’s loss to loving him & defending him!

The Democrats have NO BUSINESS saying ANYTHING about this. Every employee in the Executive Branch serves under the same rule: Subject to staying or going based on the President’s choice.

But what is both as ridiculous as it is typical?

Starting with Hillary Clinton herself, Democrats have blamed James Comey for her loss to President Donald Trump. And yet when Trump fired the FBI director, those same Democrats rushed to defend him.

After all the hatred they spewed at him for causing Hillary to lose, now they are on his side? They’re going to have to do something PRETTY DUMB to top this one.

Obama Uses Private Jet, 14 Car Convoy to Get to European Climate Change Speech

It seems like Obama has taken a page out of Leonardo DiCaprio’s book of “do as I say, not as I do” and took a private jet to Milan. Not only that, he had a 14 car convoy to get into the city, which also included protection from above with a helicopter.

It doesn’t end there. According to The Daily Mail, 300 police officers were used.

The fleet of 14 included multiple SUVs, police cars, and sedans — not to mention a few motorcycles.

During his post-presidency vacation, Obama spent many weeks in French Polynesia on music mogul David Geffen’s 450ft superyacht, which surely does not frugally sip fossil fuels like he wants the rest of the country to do.

    Here’s a local example:

DUI suspect in hit-run crash that left boy, 6, badly hurt was deported 15 times

A drunken driving suspect in a hit-and-run crash that severely injured a 6-year-old boy in San Ysidro over the weekend had been deported from the U.S. at least 15 times, authorities said Tuesday.

Constantino Banda-Acosta, 38, was last deported Jan. 18, with at least 14 prior cases since 2002, federal authorities said.

Banda-Acosta is accused of speeding west on Camino de La Plaza, running a stop sign at Dairy Mart Road and slamming his pickup into a Honda Accord about 11:30 p.m. Saturday. The pickup driver did not stop.

The speeding Chevrolet Silverado hit the driver and passenger’s side where the boy, Lennox Lake, was sitting in his car seat, said his grandmother, Cheryl Lake.

The boy’s father, Benjamin, became trapped. His wife, Ingrid, crawled out of the front passenger seat and rushed to aid Lennox, who was unconscious, not breathing and bleeding from his nostrils, ears and head, his grandmother said.

The child suffered a major head injury and was taken to a hospital. As of Tuesday night, he had undergone two surgeries at Rady Children’s Hospital, Cheryl Lake said.

Soon after the collision, Border Patrol agents came upon the family’s wrecked Honda and fanned out in search of the hit-and-run driver.

A few blocks away, shortly after midnight, agents found a damaged pickup that matched the description Ingrid Lake gave them. Inside were two men, who were detained.

Banda-Acosta was identified as the driver. He was booked into jail on suspicion of felony hit-and-run with injury, drunken driving with injury and driving without a valid license.

The Border Patrol took custody of Banda-Acosta’s passenger, also an unauthorized immigrant, agency officials said.

Banda-Acosta’s criminal history includes arrests stemming from domestic violence allegations against his wife of 18 years, Chula Vista police Capt. Fritz Reber said. Chula Vista police arrested Banda-Acosta April 9, 2006 and Jan. 9 of this year.

ICE spokeswoman Lauren Mack said the agency would again seek deportation for Banda-Acosta after any conviction and sentence is served in connection with the DUI and hit-and-run crash.

The agency confirmed that, given its longstanding relationship with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, ICE is confident Banda-Acosta will be released to the agency once his criminal case is settled.

Cheryl Lake, the boy’s grandmother, was shocked and at a loss for words when a Union-Tribune reporter shared information about the number of times Banda-Acosta has been deported.

She said she couldn’t wrap her mind around how Banda-Acosta repeatedly entered the country illegally.

“There are not enough words to describe the huge impact his actions have had,” she said.

ICE confirmed that 15 removals is a significant number and indicates an egregious immigration violation.

San Diegans who support Trump’s immigration policies saw the incident as proof that his plans are needed.

“Why do we continue to accept these travesties day after day?” said Imperial Beach resident Ernie Griffes via email. “Our state legislators encourage it with legislation.

“We need vetting, rules, order, structure. At a minimum, criminals need to go,” said Patti Brasga via email.

In ‘act of non-cooperation,’ LAUSD bolsters protections for immigrant students, families

This is an overt, deliberate announcement that they intend to flagrantly break the law. And it’s essentially a conspiracy – there are plenty of laws which call for the arrest of everyone involved in this as being involved in a CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY to break the law.

    What they’re complaining about?

The Los Angeles Unified school board on Tuesday unanimously passed a resolution aimed at making LAUSD campuses safer for immigrant students and their families who might face deportation or detainment by ICE agents.

The resolution, proposed by board members Monica Garcia and Ref Rodriguez, comes shortly after the arrest of Romulo Avelica-Gonzalez, an undocumented immigrant who was detained by U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement agents as he took his daughter to school on Feb. 28 in Highland Park.

ICE officials said Avelica-Gonzalez was targeted because of prior criminal convictions, including a DUI conviction from 2009 and an outstanding order of removal from 2014.

They’re lucky that the typical Sharia punishment isn’t coming (even though it is a country with a largely Muslim population – 86.1% – that DOES base their laws on Sharia) or they’d be facing a death penalty:

BANDA ACEH, Indonesia (AP) — Shariah prosecutors in Indonesia’s Aceh province say two men on trial for gay sex should each be punished with 80 lashes, in another blow to the country’s moderate image after a top Christian official was imprisoned for blasphemy.

The lead prosecutor, Gulmaini, who goes by one name, said Wednesday the two men aged 20 and 23 had “confessed” to being in a gay relationship, which was supported by video footage and other evidence found in their rented room.

The men were led into the court handcuffed together and pulled their tops up to partially obscure their faces.

The couple was arrested in late March after neighborhood vigilantes in the provincial capital Banda Aceh suspected them of being gay and set out to catch them having sex. Mobile phone footage that circulated online and forms part of the evidence shows one of the men naked and visibly distressed as he apparently calls for help on his cellphone. The second man is repeatedly pushed by another man who is preventing the couple from leaving the room.

If found guilty, the men will be the first to be caned for gay sex under a new Shariah code implemented in Aceh two years ago. Aceh is the only province in Muslim-majority Indonesia to practice Shariah law, which was a concession made by the national government in 2006 to end a years-long war with separatists.

Indonesia’s reputation for practicing a moderate form of Islam has been battered in the past year due to attacks on religious minorities, a surge in persecution of gays and a polarizing election campaign for Jakarta governor that highlighted the growing strength of hard-line Islamic groups.

On Tuesday, the outgoing Jakarta governor, a minority Christian, was sentenced to two years prison for blaspheming the Quran.

Like socialism, you can’t let Islam take hold. Both tend to creep in and grow despite all sane efforts to limit or eliminate them.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence, now under new management with President Donald Trump, confirms that the 654 unmaskings reported last year for fiscal 2015 was underreported by a factor of more than three times. The correct number was actually 2,232.

So how does an agency entrusted with producing some of the nation’s most sensitive intelligence and secrets get its math so mixed up?

Reporting fake numbers was one of the regular hallmarks of the Obama years. Numbers that sounded better if they were larger than reality often were reported that way, while numbers best minimized were also reported that way.

John Oliver’s Net Neutrality Campaign Filled With Bots, Fake Comments, Racist Attacks Against FCC Chairman

    And death threats, too!

John Oliver’s “grassroots” activism against Federal Communications Commission chairman Ajit Pai is full of bot accounts, fake comments, and death threats against the chairman.

Oliver, the comedian who once took credit for spurring the Obama administration to adopt net neutrality, is once again turning to his millions of viewers of his HBO show for “grassroots activism,” as Chairman Pai is readying the agency to reverse the policy.

However, an analysis of comments to Pai’s Restoring Internet Freedom filing, which Oliver has dubbed “Go FCC yourself,” shows thousands of comments using fake names and bots posing as “Jesus Christ,” “Michael Jackson,” “Homer Simpson,” and “Melania Trump.”

For instance, as of Tuesday evening, there were 1,761 comments filed under the name “John Oliver,” 998 separate comments using the name “Yoni Schwartz,” and 611 comments filed using “1” as the name.

Over 500 were submitted using Chairman Pai’s name, as well as 189 from “Donald Trump” and 8 from “Obama.”

Eleven submissions used some version of the word “f–k.”

Pai also received death threats in several submissions. One commenter said, “[F]—k you Ajit Pai for what you’re are trying to do and I hope you die a horrible painful death with no remembrance to your name you cocksucka [sic].”

Another said failure to keep net neutrality would “cause me to pray for the slow and painful death of Chairman Ajit Pai and every living member of his family, direct or indirect.”

“Save internet and fuck this Ajit guy,” said another. “He’s from India, deport that asshole. We will take care of him when he’s back.”

Other comments used racial attacks against Pai, the son of Indian immigrants.

“Can you guys stop being complete greedy little s–ts and work for the American people and not for your wallets,” said one commenter using the name ” Andromeda Titan.” “Also, f–k you Ajit Pai (a disgrace to all Indians). And f–k Trump too.”

Another commenter said, “Ajit Pai looks and sounds like an Indian fraternity brother who exclusively f–ks underage women.”

“Ajit Pai looks like the lone Indian who rushed an all white bro frat and only got in because they needed someone to clean up after their weekend bender,” said another, who added, “It’s not racist because I’m Indian and white privilege absolutely exists.”

Oliver dedicated his Last Week Tonight show on Sunday to attacking Pai for seeking to reverse net neutrality, a policy that expanded the federal government’s control over Internet service providers.

The attacker? Guess his race/ethnicity! Though I’m wondering about one part of the claim:

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 30s, about 5’9″ and 260 pounds. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, a multi-colored sweater, blue jeans and yellow work boots.

I might “date” someone with a bad credit score… but I won’t get serious with them. No reason you can’t party with them though!

More than 40% of Americans won’t date a person with bad credit

Some people inquire about a potential mate’s age or how many previous partners they’ve had. Others are more interested in another number.

Some 42% of adults say knowing someone’s credit score would affect their willingness to date that person, according to a survey released on Wednesday of 1,000 adults by personal finance website That’s up from nearly 40% last year. Women were nearly three times as likely to consider credit score a major influence on a potential partner compared to men (20% versus 7%). Younger daters are not as concerned about these three digits: 45% of older millennials, defined here as those aged 27 to 36, said that knowing someone’s credit score would only have a minor impact on their desire to date.

By showing an interest in these three digits, people are probably being smart rather than shallow, says Jeffrey Hall, associate professor of communications at the University of Kansas. “Finances, education, and job prospects all factor into the value of a potential mate,” he says. “Assuming that people can actually interpret a credit score meaningfully, it makes sense they would think a credit score is useful in evaluating mate value.”

The defendant was causing a disturbance by yelling at Ms. Conway and Secretary Price.”

The officer who filed the report said he and another officer “were able to detain the defendant before he tried aggressively to breach the security of the secret service.”

“As the criminal complaint explains, this is not about someone trying to ask questions,” said Lawrence Messina, the director of communication for West Virginia’s Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety, which oversees the capitol police.
