Meanwhile, Trump still engaging his mouth before consulting his brain… or did he?'shithole-countries

President Donald Trump questioned Thursday why the U.S. should permit more immigrants from “shithole countries” after senators discussed revamping rules affecting entrants from Africa and Haiti, according to three people briefed on the conversation.

Trump made the remark in the Oval Office as two lawmakers described details to him of a bipartisan compromise among six senators that would extend protections against deportation for hundreds of thousands of young immigrants and strengthen border protections.

Once again, IF TRUE,Trump states a valid point poorly and unnecessarily opens himself up to criticism by doing so.

But did he REALLY say this? The report is “based on three people who were briefed on the conversation” – so the people claiming this weren’t even present and have no idea what was, or wasn’t, actually said.

And these three – unnamed sources!

And now, amid all the calls of Trump being the one who’s unfit for office, mentally unsound, etc. – IT’S TIME FOR YET ANOTHER EDITION OF THE NANCY PELOSI SHOW!

Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer (Md.) on Thursday blasted Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) remarks about white men working on an immigration agreement as “offensive.”

“The five white guys I call them, you know,” Pelosi said, referring to five bipartisan lawmakers, including Hoyer, leading efforts to salvage the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. All five of the lawmakers are white.

“Are they going to open a hamburger stand next or what?” she said, referring to the popular fast food restaurant “Five Guys.”

Hoyer pushed back against the remarks.

“That comment is offensive. I am committed to ensuring DREAMers are protected and I will welcome everyone to the table who wants to get this done,” he told Politico in a statement, using the nickname referring to recipients of the DACA program.

Hoyer was one of over 20 bipartisan legislators from both the House and Senate who met with President Trump on Tuesday to discuss a possible deal on the Obama-era program, which will expire in March.

Hoyer maintained that no agreement came out of the meeting, though Senate Democrats suggested there was a preliminary agreement on Republican demands for enhanced border security and immigration policy changes.

VIDEO: Pelosi repeats words, overrules own statement, slurs ‘prescription drugs’

Nancy Pelosi has just returned to Washington, and she brought her bizarre behavior back with her.

As the House Minority Leader returned to her weekly press conference, she was seen repeating words, having trouble saying “Martin Luther King” and slurring “prescription drugs.”

Pelosi retreated to her notes as she appeared to get confused about King’s message.

She said she was “inspired by Dr. King’s call for fairness, opportunity, and… equal oppor— opportunity, and equal acc— uh, acc– access to equality,” she finally said.

“It’s really sad,” she said of the Republicans’ tax cut.

“Eigthy-six…” she said, trailing off, looking to the ceiling and trying to remember her talking points.

“Eighty-three percent of the benefits go to the top one percent,” she said. “It’s really sad,” she repeated.

After slurring “prescription drugs,” Pelosi suffered a brain freeze.

“What has happened this week that is…” she said, trailing off and staring at reporters.

“I don’t want to say different,” she finally continued, before correcting herself.

“Yeah, different,” she said, overruling herself.

Listen the the parts where Pinker speaks.

Pinker may be the first somewhat honest “left winger” I’ve found. And he’s being attacked, of course, by the left because of it.

Now I’m not saying Pinker is correct, because he does exactly what he claims others are doing – he draws false conclusions based on what he wants to be true and ignores what is true. But that’s not the point. The point is he dares speak the truths about some things and the left is out to get him for it despite the fact he is one of their own.

    “…keep moving NORTHeast….”
Apologies for the correction but we’ve had enough folks moving down here that want to remake the South into the new North

And? Those places are like he said.

  19. Richard Daniels says:

I agree with the descriptive term for these countries whether or not Trump said it. It needs to be said repeatedly and bluntly. Calling these places “developing countries” for the last 50+ years hasn’t developed JS. Liberal condecension has done nothing more than enabling the disfunction of their societies.
A sane policy for Haitians would have been to force them to attend civics classes, as well as how to form a functional economy. Then return them to their island to actually “develope” their home. Giving them welfare and leaving them on the streets has hindered their lives and for mining to alleviate their poverty.
Speaking bluntly about Third World countries’ poor situations may be held in contempt by elitists but will do far more than than all their efforts with our money.
