Leaving a plethora of post-its without actually getting anything useful done, while doing things that are harmful, is not what I consider progress or “forward”.

Trying, maybe, but not even the kind of trying we need.

Liberals in CA waste billions on an education system that’s failing.

Probably because teachers and unions are more concerned about lining their own pockets than they are about actually doing what’s right & best for the kids.

About 22 percent of California’s eighth-graders tested on a national science test passed, ranking the Golden State among the worst in the nation, according to figures released Thursday.
Scores from the 2011 National Assessment of Educational Progress, also known as the Nation’s Report Card, show that too few students have the skills that could lead to careers in the field, educators said. The state ranked 47th, only above Mississippi, Alabama and the District of Columbia, in a tie with Hawaii.

“It’s not surprising that a president who forgot to create jobs, forgot to cut the debt, and forgot to change Washington has now admitted that he’s forgotten about the recession. In fact, it seems that the President has forgotten that he’s been in office for the last three-and-a-half years. In November, the American people won’t forget.”

Indeed the most important thing we all should “not forget” is this:

I will be held accountable – if I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one term proposition. Yer damn skippy!

‘A year from now, I think people are going to see that we’re starting to make some progress. If I don’t have this done in three years, then there’s going to be a one-term proposition.’ Well, Mr. President, your policies haven’t worked. Spending our way out of the recession hasn’t worked. And so Mr. President, we take you at your word.”

Long term optimism about economy hits new low.
    May 10:

Reporter fired for working as an ‘Angry Stripper’ sues newspaper for gender discrimination
    From your reference:

Sarah Tressler, 30, alleges that the newspaper let her go in March for failing to indicate on her employment application that she had worked as an exotic dancer.

‘I was very upset that I was fired because I had been told by many editors that I was doing a good job…There was no question on the form that covered my dancing. I answered the questions on the form honestly,’ Tressler said in a statement.
Sarah Tressler and her attorney, Gloria Allred, announced that they have filed a gender discrimination complaint against the Houston Chronicle.

‘The true reason for my termination was discrimination on account of my gender,’ Tressler added.
The 30-year-old said she would sometimes perform on stage for a few hours just to get a workout since she did not have a gym membership.

Any “journalist” who claims she was fired from her job for gender discrimination is too dumb to work as a journalist. Then, like a true liberal, she claims she is dancing in place of buying a gym membership…obviously money has nothing to do with it. Now, I’m not really into the “gym” scene, but in most gyms, women seem to pretty much stay dressed, and don’t like men leering at them. On the other hand, if those men started offering cash tips to leer at the women, maybe their attitude would change.

Finally, I’m confused. The woman claims to be a dancer (not a gymnast getting a workout), and she is classified as both an “exotic dancer” and a stripper. What, exactly, is exotic about how she dances? Does she bring some moves from some far away tribe or island?

Liberals in CA waste billions on an education system that’s failing.

When liberals talk about education, they express concern that fundamentalist Christians are opposed to science because of the way liberals teach about evolution, and climate deniers also hate science because…well climate change is a proven fact.

So I find it ironic that in the liberal state of California, where liberals can teach “science” to their heart’s content….kids are doing so poorly in science. In reality, those kid probably know a lot about recycling and reducing your carbon footprint…but not much else.

A new study out of Rutgers University paints a bleak picture for new graduates who are often saddled with debt and forced into lower paying jobs.

“Two thirds of the people we talked to, recent college students, said they would have done something different. Most of those say that they would have chosen a more professional major,” says study author Cliff Zukin.

Finally, I went to the academic advising office. The representative there told me they are a college, not a vocational school, and making students employable is not their top priority. As it states in the advising office’s mission statement, they “collaborate with students […] so that they may be come informed, articulate and thoughtful.”

Informed, articulate and thoughtful. Really? If they were so well informed and thoughtful, perhaps they wouldn’t rack up six figure debts acquiring useless degrees. Where is the culpability of the universities in swindling these young people? In other circles that would be considered fraud.

Ghost, where is the fairness that a mildly attractive woman can make up to $2000 a night as a stripper when less attractive women are denied those high paying jobs?

Obviously we need a new federal program to help unattractive women (i.e. typical liberals) find jobs as strippers. Society for too long has permitted men to ogle pretty women while ignoring ugly women. As the men enter the “Equality Strip Clubs” men will be given numbers and will sit at the location designated by their assigned number and give tips to their federally assigned stripper.

College makes you dumb. Who knows less about finding a job than the folks in the “Academic Advising Office?”

And it is true that universities see their job as one of “education” rather than preparing a person for meaningful work. One of the popular lies is that many jobs just require a college degree, regardless of the degree or the major. All you have to have is the degree.

Here’s the problem with that logic; I’m hiring you to make me money, either by providing me a product or a service, or at the very least by not scaring my customers away. I’m going to have to train you to do the job I need done; after all, it is my business and I know pretty much what works for my business.

If you come in the door with a degree in Woman’s Studies, I’m not sure that you have enough common sense to do a responsible job when I leave, since it never occurred to you in four+ years that Woman’s Studies has no practical value in the work-a-day world. If you have your body covered with markings or have pieces of metal sticking out from you face, you may draw more attention to you, rather than the message that I have paid advertising dollars to draw attention to my business.

So study whatever your heart desires and mark up your body any way you want. You are competing with folks who can do math, that understand science (as opposed to global climate change), that understand economics and profit and loss statements. Life isn’t fair, has never been fair, can’t be made fair, and thank God for that; otherwise you wouldn’t be in college at all. You would most likely, in a fair world, be tending your father’s goats.

The purpose of education has morphed from helping a person choose a path which will both enrich them and make them a positive, contributing member of society to creating radicals who are intent on making something of themselves by tearing down society and hurting others – the more they hurt, the greater notoriety they wind up obtaining.

Just look at Obama if you want to understand what I’m saying here.

More and more “educational institutions” are offering courses of study oriented around negativity and anger, courses which seem designed to bring out the worst in people, designed to produce ultra-radicals who’s whole life is oriented towards hurting others and destroying the support systems that thousands, or millions, depend on to get through their daily lives.

I am not saying those systems are perfect – obviously they never will be. But the point is these people are not studying how to spot their weaknesses with an eye towards resolving them and thus improving the systems for future generations. Rather their efforts are oriented towards finding the weaknesses and exploiting them in order to bring the systems down suddenly such that the resulting chaos can be used to usher in more concentrated power in the hands of few, exactly what these radicals say they are against. Only they forget to mention that they’re only against concentrated power when it’s in the hands of someone else. They don’t mind when THEY get power.

  40. Bob Roberts says:

The WaPo reported that White had “long been bothered” by the Romney bullying incident, when in fact, he wasn’t witness to it, and wasn’t aware of the story until contacted by the Washington Post. The Post changed its piece after we made our request without informing its readers of the change.

Sister of Alleged Romney Target Has ‘No Knowledge’ of Any Bullying Incident

The older sister of Mitt Romney’s former high school classmate said she has no knowledge of any bullying incident involving her brother and the GOP presidential candidate.
Christine Lauber of South Bend, Ind., had not seen the Washington Post’s story that described an incident when Mitt Romney bullied her brother, but said she was aware of the story. The incident centered around Romney allegedly holding the scissors to help cut the hair of John Lauber, who was presumed to be gay and who had long hair.
Romney’s former classmate, Phillip Maxwell, now a lawyer, described witnessing the incident and said he considered the “prank” the two pulled at Michigan’s Cranbrook School to be “assault and battery.”
Maxwell said he held the boy’s arm and leg, describing himself and his friends as a “pack of dogs.”

So, basically, we have this guy who’s accusing Romney, apparently falsely, actually admitting to be directly involved in an assault and battery.

The Washington Post’s controversial exposé on the young Mitt Romney just became more controversial. Presented as an investigative journalism piece, Jason Horowitz’s article contrasts sharply with a similar “flashback” article on Romney recently published in the June 2012 print edition of Automobile Magazine by author David Murray. Both articles chronicle anecdotal events in Romney’s teen years as told by classmates and friends. But while both quote some of the same people, the Washington Post article contains several inexplicable inconsistencies, omissions and false inferences.

It appears this is an Obama campaign driven deliberate and carefully planned series of lies published with the collusion of the WaPo.

It appears this is a deliberately concocted political hit piece that was coordinated with the Obama campaign’s carefully yet poorly orchestrated series of moves regarding Obama’s compassion for the LGBTQ community, even though, if you’ve been paying attention, all Obama offers them is empty words without any substance.

Maybe that’s why Obama’s the loser as a result, as Romney pulls ahead.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows Mitt Romney earning 50% of the vote and President Obama attracting 43% support. Four percent (4%) would vote for a third party candidate, while another three percent (3%) are undecided.

In a three way race with Ron Paul, Romney would get 44%, Obama 39% and Paul 13% – which, for Paul, would be a pretty significant achievement that reveals the strength and resonance of many of his ideas as well as the contempt many hold for BOTH of the major parties today.

But, in the current climate, the investigation may wind up being expanded to include any local or nearby “occu-tard” gatherings who’ve been involved in planning their “direct actions” against those they paint as oppressors, as a person like this would be one of their logical targets.

I’m expecting it will be someone close to her as it is in most such cases. But radicals have long talked about shutting down those who speak out from the right and this could also be a case of them putting their talk into action.

President Obama’s former doctor against obamacare – claims that the president lacks passion, feeling and humanity

In a revealing new book, The Amateur, author Edward Klein interviews President Barack Obama’s physician, Dr. David Scheiner, MD, who blasts the president’s health care plan and says that President Obama has an “academic detachment” that he could never break through.

The doctor fears that if the health care plan is “the failure” he believes it will be, because of runaway costs and other problems, then any health reform will be set back for years to come.

These are only a few of many reveals in Klein’s book, which makes the case that President Obama is not the political machine that people fear, but an amateur with a messianic complex who is completely out of his depth.

I couldn’t agree with him more!

    Bill blockbuster: O’s an ‘amateur’

Bill Clinton thought so little of President Obama — mocking him as an “amateur” — that he pressed his wife last summer to quit her job as secretary of state and challenge him in the primaries, a new book claims,
“The country needs you!” the former president told Hillary Clinton, urging her to run this year, according to accounts of the conversation included in Edward Klein’s new biography of Obama.
The title of Klein’s explosive, unauthorized bio of Obama, “The Amateur” (Regnery Publishing), was taken directly from Bill Clinton’s bombshell criticism of the president, the author said.

“Barack Obama,” Bill Clinton said, according to book excerpts, “is an amateur.”
The withering criticism is incredible, given the fact that Bill Clinton is actively campaigning for Obama’s re-election.
But according to the book, Bill Clinton unloaded on Obama and pressed Hillary to run against her boss during a gathering in the ex-president’s home office in Chappaqua last August that included longtime friends, Klein said.
“The economy’s a mess, it’s dead flat. America has lost its Triple-A rating . . . You know better than Obama does,” Bill said.
Bill Clinton insisted he had “no relationship” with Obama and had been consulted more frequently by his presidential successor, George W. Bush.
Obama, Bill Clinton said, “doesn’t know how to be president” and is “incompetent.”

Again, I couldn’t agree with him more!

What is even more amazing, as noted above, is that someone who knows what a train wreck Obama is will still work so hard to see him re-elected!

Keep in mind they blame the downturn, caused by the Democrats taking over Congress under Bush and screwing things up so bad, on Bush.

    Here is a headline:

170 Killed in Afghanistan as Gates, Cheney, Palin Wrangle over Karzai

This is how the guy who wrote it describes himself:

I do my best to provide an independent and informed perspective on Middle Eastern and American politics.

Who do you think he’s talking about when he says, “Cheney”?

Of course you automatically think he’s talking about DICK Cheney, but he’s not.

And what does it matter what Palin and LIZ Cheney are saying about this? Why is he focusing on people who are, at best, bit players?

Because he has to go there to get something that he can manufacture into an issue, of course!

Here are some more of his gems:

Sarkozy’s Loss in Part due to his Islamophobia

Power and Money in America (Noam Chomsky)

I pretty much ignore anyone who goes to Chomsky for anything.

Mazar Demonstration says ‘Yankee Go Home’

    Karzai is Said to Dicker with Insurgents;

Panetta Scoffs Taliban Rejoice in McChrystal Firing

This is another of those “smartest guy in the room” types, a self appointed expert, who then of course has a bunch of left-wing lunatics jumping on the bandwagon and saying how smart he is because he says what they want to hear.

  56. Bob Roberts says:

Theres a site which has, what, 10 of it’s most recent threads all about how it’s going away.

Here’s a snippet from the guy running the show there, another lunatic lefty self-description:

We’re in a darkening period in history, there’s no doubt about that. And I’m not a believer in progress as an inherent fact of life, I’m more of a stuff just happens kind of guy.

    “Stuff just kind of happens”.

I’d say this guy is perhaps looking for the greatness that, somehow, always seems to be just beyond his grasp, at least as he sees it, and so soon we’ll be reading about how he hung himself or put a bullet in his brain.

His space has been full of “goodbye” messages, apparently, since at least April 2011, when this one appeared:

Farewell thought: Conservatism is still the enemy

Conservativism is still the primary enemy of progress, justice, fairness and widespread happiness for humanity. It remains a destructive and corrosive force on the institutions of democracy and the single biggest obstacle to world peace.

America (and the world) needs more liberals and less conservatives. Conservatives are not an immutable force of nature. The number of them can be reduced, the extremity of their beliefs can be dampened and the sternness of the opposition to them can be bolstered. I never really could decide if America really is a “center-right” nation (because “center” is bereft of meaning) but I do know one of the few things Villagers get right is the basic point that liberals cannot win many political fights when they are outnumbered by self-identified conservatives 2:1 or 3:2.

Amazing, whining about being on the losing team and flailing about like a pathetic child.

    Remind you of anyone?

As for the question, “How do we make more liberals and less conservatives”, perhaps not supporting killing your own children might be a start?

Not that such a brilliant simple solution would ever occur to you.

This was the first mention that this site would be closing, back in April of 2011:

I have some sad news. After nearly four years in operation, today will be the final day this site publishes new content.
The site will not disappear, and all published content will remain online, but after today we will cease producing new content.

  57. Bob Roberts says:

Oh, just found one more thing having to do with that site that was shutting down.

This comment about sums it up:

“I can’t believe I’ll never be able to not understand one of your posts again.

    Time marches on”

Now it doesn’t matter if that was a leftie or a rightie that said that. It still has pretty much the same impact.

  58. Bob Roberts says:

THE LIES OF THE LEFT EXPOSED (continuing on to another site)

GOP moves quickly to block Clean Air Act
Because clean air for humans is obviously a terrible idea.

Of course, this had nothing to do with “clean air”.

The act was the Obama administration’s attempt to villify carbon dioxide, a trace gas in the atmosphere which is nonetheless ESSENTIAL FOR LIFE AS WE KNOW IT!

This was an attempt to massively expand government’s power and tax grabbing abilities in a way that would have been disastrous not only for American businesses and the world economy, but also for the middle and lower classes, who even now are suffering because of Obama and the Democrats admitted strategy of ensuring that “energy prices will necessarily skyrocket”.

These are the lies of the left. This is the sort of nonsense some here grow so tired of hearing that they eventually seek to drive those who spew such nonsense, while bringing nothing of value to this forum, to other places where perhaps people are more “tolerant” and more understanding of terms like “social justice”, “economic justice” and other crude code words that all mean treating people unfairly based on institutionalized discrimination, the worst kind of all!

  59. Bob Roberts says:

Writer for lead conservative publication suggests government behind Giffords assassination attempt

Of course, the “lead conservative publication” they were talking about was World Net Daily.

Excuse me while I have a fit of uncontrollable laughter.

Giffords wasn’t shot as part of some vast plot, right or left wing. She was shot by a disgruntled leftie who reached a point where he snapped and might just as likely chosen a right wing target rather than her – it’s just that she happened to be a convenient target at the time and place where he finally snapped, that’s all.

Oh, should I have not used the word “target”?

And, of course, the left uses the Giffords incident to try to blame guns by saying we should not blame guns, but in a clearly sarcastic manner. Note the smart “person” in this bit is a penguin, apparently.

Note, though, that even the smart penguin admits that, for now, the Second Amendment is in no danger of falling despite the Obama/Holder efforts to attack it a la “Fast & Furious”.

Yes, the fact that he had a gun made his actions more effective – that much is true. However, it wasn’t the gun’s fault and if not for gun control laws many other such incidents would have been nipped in the bud as the shooter would have been met with overwhelming return fire. But that outcome is made impossible in many cities due to Second Amendment violating gun regulations.

Again I note that most of the headlines seem to be from back in 2011 – I guess the people who normally take care of left wing blogs are busy scrambling to get money and votes for Obama because they see the writing on the wall, and so they don’t have time to update their websites.

No, Mr. Ailes, both sides don’t do it

This was in response to Ailes pointing out that both sides engage in vicious, unnecessary rhetorical assaults on each other.

Funny that the Democrats denied they do it even as they ratcheted up their own vitriol, and to this day they still act and talk as if the GOP is the only one that does this.

Many threads here and elsewhere prove otherwise.

Just look at their lying nonsense:

The Republican party, and American conservatives, have a fetish for violent imagery in words and pictures. It’s why Republicans think it funny that their supporters bring guns to Obama rallies.

Nobody “thinks it’s funny that their supporters bring guns to Obama rallies”.

Many think it’s an appropriate expression of Second Amendment rights that Obama is trying to destroy.

I submit that if one compares right wing and left wing images and such, the only time you will see “violent imagery” on the right is when they are illustrating left wing goals and practices, such as the murder of the unborn.

In other words, right wing “violent imagery” comes directly from and is only possible because of the words and actions of the left.

Feds arrest suspect for allegedly threatening Democratic Senator

    The text accompanying the headline?

    Nothing to see here

Of course, since the guy turned out to be a left wing lunatic just like the guy who shot Giffords, the story quickly died.

And note they were casting the Giffords matter as an “assassination attempt”.

The guy was a lunatic. He was just shooting targets of opportunity. He probably would not have cared had Giffords gotten completely away – she was no more a “primary target” than anyone else he shot that day.

Man pulled over for being radioactive.

He had a medical procedure that involved a radioisotope and, because of evolving threats, certain police now have the ability to detect radioactivity and so he got pulled over for it.

  61. Bob Roberts says:

You almost have to wonder if this case is a reverse fake.

One way to clear the air of the nonsense that humans play a significant role in determining weather, temperature and climate would be to start a ridiculous lawsuit like this one then bring out the truth.

  62. Bob Roberts says:

House Democrats received training this week on how to address the issue of race to defend government programs

So what, are they admitting that the programs are racist – that they disproportionately help one race more than others – and so by virtue of the “equal treatment” doctrine, should be eliminated?

    Here is their twisted logic:

“Calling a Black man ‘the food stamp president’ is not a race-neutral statement, even if Newt Gingrich did not intend racism.”

Yes, it is “race neutral”. It refers to the fact that, under Obama, food stamp recipients have increased at exponential rates. It says nothing about race.

Here are more of their claims – I challenge ANYONE to find ANY hint of race in these comments:

One of Santorum’s cited comments was: “Give them more food stamps, give them more Medicaid is the administration’s approach, rather than creating jobs.” She also cited this comment from House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., about raising taxes to fund government programs: “I’ve never believed that you go raise taxes on those that are paying in, taking from them, so that you just hand out and give them to someone else.”

And here is the admission it’s a made-up problem:

Wiley, who did not respond to the Examiner’s inquiries yesterday, offered this warning to Democrats about talking to “someone [who] opposes racial justice” but could support Democratic policies: “Don’t make the mistake of telling them they’re in the problem. It’s emotional connection, not rational connection that we need.”

She admits it’s “not rational”, i.e. IRRATIONAL, emotional.

To use honest words, it’s A LIE.

    And a deliberate one.

  63. Bob Roberts says:

    Talk about echo chambers!

Most of the story is nonsense – I will post the sensible parts:

CARNEY: Okay, well, I’ll talk about the marijuana in one second. But what you’re doing here is a typical media trick: You hype up a story, and then you justify the second-day coverage of the story by saying, “Oh, well, people are talking about it. Here’s how Romney responded to it—“

CARNEY: You are bringing up a meta story here, which is, “What is the Romney response to this other non-story?” I’m trying to go meta-meta on you, and say here’s some media treatment—

CARNEY: Are you going to cut me off?

    HALL: Yes, I am.

When the left doesn’t get it’s way, when the truth starts coming out, they cut you off.

Compare and contrast that to how long we put up with nonsense here before we finally said, “ENOUGH!”.

This reporter didn’t last through more than a minute or so of truth before she decided to prevent it from coming out.

We put up with lie after lie, with no sign of truth ever becoming part of the narrative, before we finally sued for relief.

If you notice, I was doing tasks that were taking about 10 minutes each, posting in between each one, for a while.

Then, when I was done and posted twice in about 3 minutes, I went out for about an hour, came back and posted again. Then I posted on a couple 15 minute intervals, then stopped for quite some time, only to come back and see your comment.

Yeah, I’m having a slow day so lots to say here. It’s Friday and I’ve been staying out of the sun so I don’t get burned.

  67. Bob Roberts says:

However, I got things to do now, got an appearance to make.

So here are some quick headlines then I’m outta here. Those who have been paying attention to San Diego events will know what I’m talking about, probably.

So much for improving our image overseas. For crass political motives, the Obama administration has now put at risk all air passengers worldwide.

The day that bully Mitt Romney cut Clooney’s hair. No wonder Clooney is such a Romneyphobe.

    My only question:

Is that the “before” or “after”.

I note someone else wondered the same thing.

So I decided to see what GOOGLE had to say about walking from the Shire to Mordor.

Someone I know said their response included a warning about trolls. Not sure if he was serious.

    And guess what…

They’re recycling that nonsense about Antarctic ice sheet collapses.

First, while it was true the northern hemisphere showed some signs of warming, for a while, that has stopped – there has been no statistically significant warming of the Earth since something like 1998. In fact, if anything, it seems the Earth is cooling, but despite Al Gore’s whining about the Earth having a “fever”, you can’t just go stick a giant rectal thermometer into the Earth and take it’s temperature. In fact, anyone who claims they’ve actually come up with a realistic “temperature of the Earth” is flat out lying – it simply cannot be done.

Furthermore, as the northern hemisphere was warming, the southern was cooling – remember the year the Arctic ice sheet set a record low – for the very short time we’ve been able to take reasonably accurate measurements, which is only something around a couple decades anyway – and the greeniacs were peeing their pants about it, claiming that within a few years we would see an ice-free Arctic? Well they didn’t make as big a deal about the fact that even as that was happening, the SOUTHERN ICE SHEET SET A NEW ALL TIME RECORD FOR MAXIMUM EXTENT.

All they could talk about with regards to the Antarctic was how, on the thin peninsula that juts northward into warmer waters, the Larsen Ice Shelf was near collapse and, if it went, Antarctica was in danger of losing all it’s ice.

They forgot to mention that the Larsen Ice Shelf didn’t hold back even 1% of the Antarctic ice. Now they’re trying to make the same claim about the western Antarctic ice sheet, which also is a very minor player in the grant scheme of things. It holds back very little ice because it quickly backs up to the Antarctic mountains. We could lose the whole west Antarctic ice sheet and it would not be that big a deal because of that reason – but relax, it’s not REALLY in any danger of going anywhere. It’s just more of the usual fear mongering. Plus there’s something else. Ever been to Wisconsin? Minnesota? Michigan? The Great Lakes? Canada? You know where all those lakes came from that are in that part of North America? We used to have glaciers as big or bigger than the west Antarctic ice sheet here, too. And when they melted, not all the meltwater went into the sea. It wound up in those lakes. Now the west Antarctic ice sheet actually is over land that is significantly below sea level, in part due to the large mass of ice that is sitting on it. If the ice were to melt much of the water would not rush out to sea – it would form huge lakes. But that’s not even happening either. Over a long time, a long geologic time, meaning thousands of years, due to something called isostatic rebound (look it up), the land mass would slowly rise up now that all those tons of ice are removed. In fact, we have ongoing isostatic changes going on now around the world because of the end of the last ice age.

You see, these changes have nothing to do with humans. These are geologic and natural forces that, as I always mention, are orders of magnitude beyond anything humans are capable of doing.

About the worst thing we’re doing is land use changes – in particular deforestation of tropical rain forests but the reason the greeniacs aren’t all up in arms over that is because it’s not America or American corporations that are doing it.

It’s people of color in third world countries – and everyone knows they can do whatever they want and get a free pass because they’re not American white males.
