“Ultimately, this will also allow us to provide our Black and Brown communities with the resources they deserve.”

Because who cares about white communities, since white people are racist and bad? Or maybe Martinez is acknowledging that black and brown communities will pay the price for ideologically driven anarchy because that’s where the crime is.

Calls deemed not to require police include those involving mental health, drug abuse, suicidal threats, and conflict resolution — all situations that can take unexpected violent turns.

Psychologists and social workers are poorly equipped to deal with the hordes of mentally ill and/or drug-crazed derelicts whose population has been exploding in California.

Wouldn’t it be nice to live in a world so peaceful that unarmed response teams would suffice? Unfortunately, our world is crowded with people like George Floyd and Jacob Blake. Force is required to protect society from them.

The shooter is described only as a “dark-skinned male.”

He looks like a little kid, young enough to be manipulated into accepting the BLM narrative at face value. Overpaid athletes are primary role models in hellholes like Compton. This is what those athletes have been theatrically kneeling to. More explicitly, the triple platinum rap album Straight Outta Comptom includes the song “F*** tha Police,” which calls for assassinating police officers.

LEOs have been executed on behalf of BLM’s ideology in the past (e.g., New York, Dallas).

Whatever the shooter’s motive, he has support. Mostly peaceful protesters went after the hospital treating the deputies.

A local faith leader who came to the hospital to pray for the deputies, told a KABC reporter that some of the protesters had been shouting slogans like “Death to police!”

Protesters were blocking the entrance to the hospital emergency room and yelling, “We hope they die,” referring to the two deputies, the sheriff’s office said.

Others might have died as a result of obstructed access to the emergency room, but it was all for a good cause, according to what we have been force-fed relentlessly by the liberal establishment.

The Republican senator too to the Senate floor to speak on the bill also mentioned the tragic recent death of Laken Riley, 22. Jose Antonio Ibarra, 26, has been charged with murder in connection with the case and is an illegal immigrant from Venezuela with prior criminal history.

Sarah Root and Laken Riley were American and therefore expendable. The whole point of Democrat border policy is to ensure people like them don’t exist in the future.

Two plus two equals four. The world is not flat. Boys have penises; girls have vaginas. Gender is binary and cannot be changed. Biology is not bigotry. Heterosexuality is not hate. Gender confusion and gender delusion are deep psychological disorders.

No caring professional or loving parent would ever support the chemical poisoning or surgical mutilation of a child’s genitalia.

Transgender ideology is anti-gay, it is anti-woman, and it is anti-human. It wants to take away women’s sports, women’s rights, women’s achievements. It is misogyny writ large.

The bill would guarantee the right to vote in federal elections for all Americans, regardless of criminal conviction. It also requires those with past convictions to receive notice they are now eligible to vote.

You can subsidize EVs to the hilt with other people’s money. You can replace bus fleets with them, leaving people to walk through the snow. You can use your control of the media to shriek that life on earth will perish if people don’t embrace them. But so long as safer, more reliable, and more financially sensible real cars are available, you can’t make people buy the absurd contraptions — as 3,900 car dealers suggest in a letter to Biden:

Dealers have a 103-day supply of EVs compared to 56 days for all cars. It takes them on average 65 days to sell an EV, about twice as long as for gas-powered cars. EV sales are slowing though manufacturers have slashed prices and increased discounts. Consumers paid on average $50,683 for an EV in September, compared to $65,000 a year ago.

Prices will rocket upward when they no longer have to compete with real cars.

Among the numberless reasons not to buy an EV,

“Customers are also concerned about the loss of driving range in cold or hot weather,” the auto dealers say. “Some have long daily commutes and don’t have the extra time to charge the battery. Truck buyers are especially put off by the dramatic loss of range when towing.”

The dealers want the Administration to “tap the brakes” on its proposed tailpipe emissions rules that would effectively mandate that EVs comprise two-thirds of car sales by 2032. Auto makers might meet the government’s quotas in leftwing cities where Teslas are a political fashion statement, but price and convenience matter more elsewhere.

Our rulers represent the populations of cities rotted through with liberalism like New York and Los Angeles. They regard the rest of us as “deplorable” and “threats to Our Democracy.”

The dealers’ letter is an important political signal that progressive climate coercion isn’t as popular as Democrats think. Americans don’t like to be told what to do or what they must buy.

Why would Democrats care what we think? They have the media to tell us what to think.

Before progressives can achieve absolute tyranny, we must be denied independent transportation. Electric vehicles, which regular people can afford only so long as they are subsidized, which rely on a power supply that is being choked off in the name of the global warming hoax, and which can easily be remotely disabled en masse, are a bridge to this objective.
